I thought I'd make something of a questionnaire. Put up some of the more contoversial points in the world today; maybe get a debate going on. Lefties vs Righties. One side armed with firearms, the other with...marijuana?
NOTE: Some of these questions are more British/European orientated than American...
Anyhoo...
1. What are your views on abortion?
2. What are your views on the Northern Ireland situation?
3. What are your views on homosexual marriage?
4. What are your views on armed police forces?
5. What are your views on the legality of firearms?
6. What are your views on the possible decriminilization of cannabis?
7. What are your views on the Iraq War?
8. What are your views on Scottish/Welsh independence?

Here's my attempt.
1. Abortion is fine. 2. Get MI6 and Det (Sercret services) and SAS (Special Forces) to go to N Ireland. Get good informers or secret service agents to infiltrate the IRA and find the members and above all the leaders. Have all the leaders taken prisoner (if possible) in one night. 3. Homosexual marriage is OK. 4. Only Elite Police can carry firearms. Normal officers will have all the other stuff but no guns. 5. Double barrel shotguns can be owned by farmers but must be kept locked in a box until they are needed. This prevents the farmer from getting drunk/pissed off and grabbing the gun. Also prevents accidents. Anyone can have a gun but it must be kept at a gun club or hunting club and cannot be taken anywhere else. 6. Cannabis should be illegal. 7. The Iraq war is not a full success. It was great that Saddam was removed and it was good that they tried to make a new government. Problem is the rebels won't give up. They should stay and finish what they started. If they leave now the civilians will moan to the news. 8. Scotland and Wales should not gain independence. They should have a more power over what happens in Scotland and Wales. British government should not be able to make decisions that will affect Scotland and Wales without the Welsh and Scottish approval. 9. we need Nukes or we will be under the control of countries that do have nukes. However we really don't need many as a few would destroy an entire country and using them is the last resort.

1. What are your views on abortion? If a woman/girl does not want the baby then they should have the choice to abort it.
2. What are your views on the Northern Ireland situation? Don’t really have any, as I don’t like there how ever I do believe that it is not right to just kill two soldiers while they stand outside their barracks ordering a pizza.
3. What are your views on homosexual marriage? It is right to have homosexual marriages as I have two friends who are married homosexuals.
4. What are your views on armed police forces? Don’t really have any.
5. What are your views on the legality of firearms? Teenagers should not have them…or, they can have them but they should not be used to kill or hurt someone.
6. What are your views on the possible decriminilization of cannabis? Cannabis should not be allowed anywhere…I think.
7. What are your views on the Iraq War? Thank god the British have pulled out.
8. What are your views on Scottish/Welsh independence? Up to them.
9. What are your views on nuclear weapons? Are there any?

1. What are your views on abortion? It is good.
2. What are your views on the Northern Ireland situation? It's extremely complicated.
3. What are your views on homosexual marriage? Yep, gays deserve the right to get married.
4. What are your views on armed police forces? I don’t agree that police should carry them around all the time.
5. What are your views on the legality of firearms? Only for members of gun clubs.
6. What are your views on the possible decriminalization of cannabis? The “” smiley in the c-box is what I use as my answer for this.
7. What are your views on the Iraq War? I don’t agree with everything that went on in Iraq, but I do agree that someone had to do it. I don’t like the way America got all the bad publicity for it. God knows what would have happened if they had left saddam alone.
8. What are your views on Scottish/Welsh independence? Meh, this one is kinda up to the Scots and Welsh themselves. I really don’t care.
9. What are your views on nuclear weapons? I would prefer if they had never been invented.
1. What are your views on abortion? An ultrasound of an abortion was the second most disturbing thing I had ever saw. The most disturbing thing I ever saw was a cartoon from Japan. 2. What are your views on the Northern Ireland situation? Catholics are weird. 3. What are your views on homosexual marriage? Only if they're ladies. And if at least one of them are hot. 4. What are your views on armed police forces? How else are they supposed to shoot criminals shooting at them? 5. What are your views on the legality of firearms? How else am I supposed to shoot criminals shooting at me? 6. What are your views on the possible decriminilization of cannabis? Go get high off life, you dirty hippies. 7. What are your views on the Iraq War? Why can't we all just be friends? 8. What are your views on Scottish/Welsh independence? I don't have a view on them, it's hard to see anything 'across the pond' or as you people say. 9. What are your views on nuclear weapons? Japan deserved it, and still deserves it*.

1. What are your views on abortion? It's a persons decision and they can do what they want with it. They ****ed up in life and are either going to feel the guilt of abortion or whatever they chose to do with a child they don't want.
2. What are your views on the Northern Ireland situation? To be honest, I don't know much about it.
3. What are your views on homosexual marriage? Church and state should be separated. Marriage is more of a sacred thing in religion and therefore Gays shouldn't be allowed to get married religiously. If your religion doesn't accept you, why would you want to get married by it? But if you want to get a license for marriage by the state, it should be fine. But states shouldn't decided if churches have to allow gays to be married.
4. What are your views on armed police forces? Sure, allow the police to be armed. If the people want that, that is. If the police wants to go on a rampage or abuse his power, he will be punished by the law like everyone else.
5. What are your views on the legality of firearms? Keep it legal. If you make firearms illegal, than only the criminals will have them. Possibly harder to get, but people won't be able to protect themselves from the people who get their hands on them and use them wrongly. You need to have a license for them of course and be of age though. And you need to follow all the rules, etc, etc.
6. What are your views on the possible decriminalization of cannabis? It's fine. Why?
Prohibition hasn't stopped the use or production of marijuana. Millions are using it annually. A regulated market would actually serve to reduce selling it to teenagers, as I believe it would make it harder for teens to get their hands on it. Money also wouldn't be going towards illegal criminal activity which is making quite the profit by growing and smuggling. Hemp would become a valuable crop without so many restrictions. Heck, its actually safer than alcohol. It's not as addictive either.
7. What are your views on the Iraq War? It had to be done, really. Saddam had to be removed. Although, it may not have been done 100% correctly and even though America got so much negativity for it, it had to be done.
8. What are your views on Scottish/Welsh independence? Up to them. I don't live in neither of those places. If they want it... they should have it.
9. What are your views on nuclear weapons? They're out and you can't get rid of them. Technology is advancing and I'm sure there will be much more advanced weapons than nuclear weapons in the future. Of course, it should be regulated and countries should be restricted on how many they can obtain. Best thing to do is, focus on technologies to prevent nuclear weapons for everyone's protection which really makes nukes pointless.
1. What are your views on abortion? The status quo is fine.
2. What are your views on the Northern Ireland situation? ... I'm American... so... eh...
3. What are your views on homosexual marriage? It doesn't hurt anyone so I don't see the point in banning it.
4. What are your views on armed police forces? The cops in Charleston ride around with M16's in the back window... seems a bit much.
5. What are your views on the legality of firearms? National Guard only, not for private use.
6. What are your views on the possible decriminilization of cannabis? Again... it's not hurting anyone. Law enforcement should focus on the hard drugs, not this crap.
7. What are your views on the Iraq War? Massive publicity stunt gone horribly wrong.
8. What are your views on Scottish/Welsh independence? Eh... 3/4 majority vote?
9. What are your views on nuclear weapons? Everything is better on moderation. Both Russia and the US should reduce their stockpiles to a minimum and crack down on their development elsewhere. I'd be fine with black operations dealing with this... not huge publicity stunts *coughiraqcough*

1. What are your views on abortion? If the child is a product of rape then I think it is the mother's discrection, beyond that, it's murder, don't want a kid...get some self control.
2. What are your views on the Northern Ireland situation? I don't watch the news for good reason, I know for a FACT that it's almost always inaccurate or twisted.
3. What are your views on homosexual marriage? Although I think a pair of hot chicks making out is ...well...hot, I still don't agree with it, but I don't care enough to say or do anything about it, do as you please, just don't interfere with what I want to do with my life.
4. What are your views on armed police forces? Unarmed ones are called boy scouts...or whatever the equivalent is in other countries.
5. What are your views on the legality of firearms? Criminals will always be able to get firearms, the only people affected by banning them are law abiding citizens.
6. What are your views on the possible decriminilization of cannabis? Being a Law Enforcement guy, for legal reasons I'll say keep it illegal, but from a personal stand point, I've never touched the stuff, but you can't OD on it and no one has ever commited a crime high on weed, let them have it for all I care, then the governement can at least tax it and get something out of it to help the rest of us struggling to make ends meat.
7. What are your views on the Iraq War? It was needed and I'm glad it happened, but we should have left them to their own demise long ago.
8. What are your views on Scottish/Welsh independence? Again refer to question number 2 and a bit of number 7, let people do as they want, if they screw it up...too bad for them.
9. What are your views on nuclear weapons? Worst idea ever, but for goodness sakes, does any single country need enough to destroy the entire earth three times over themselves?

1. What are your views on abortion? Abortion, while not a consideration that should be taken likely, should certainly remain legal.
2. What are your views on the Northern Ireland situation? Even though, N. Ireland should never have been taken by the English (and I can understand why some of the Irish feel so passionate about it), the simple fact is that the vast majority of the citizens of N.I want to remain part of the UK. I reckon there should be a referendum, a vote over which nation to join even though I am certain the people would vote to remain British.
3. What are your views on homosexual marriage? Homosexual civil partnerships are fine. Even though marriage is a religious ideal and pretty much all religions...hate the gays.
4. What are your views on armed police forces? I've never seen an armed policeman because there is next to no crime in my area. I think that there should be some armed police forces, but only in especially violent areas of the country, not having blokes wondering around the Scottish Highlands looking for donkeys to blow to bits with AK-47's...
5. What are your views on the legality of firearms? I'm really torn on this one. Will ignore it for now and hope it goes away.
6. What are your views on the possible decriminilization of cannabis? It should be legalized for reasons Erik has already voiced. The money would go to the government, not the drug gangs. Then again, the same argument could be used for harder drugs but...one step at a time...
7. What are your views on the Iraq War? While it was certainly a good thing that Saddam was removed from power (although executing him was a different matter entirely), the ends don't neccessarily justify the means. I'm sure there could have been a better way to have sorted out the situation; it could have taken time and money but...
The government may have stated that they were going to Iraq to "give the people democracy" but ultimately, Iraq's oil was a major factor in the decision to invade.
Overall, I'm not sure on this one.
8. What are your views on Scottish/Welsh independence? Actually have a huge theoretical plan on devolution throughout the British Isles but I'll save that for another day, Independence won't work, although I reckon within the next hundred years, the Scots will have it. England stole Scotland's oil and shut down Wales' coal mines; they'd more or less descend into third world countries.
9. What are your views on nuclear weapons? Would have been a better world if they had never been invented but there ye are. However, I think it's unfair that some nations have thousand and others none.

1. What are your views on abortion?-Let them do whatever they want. It is their decision.
2. What are your views on the Northern Ireland situation?-Haven't been following it.
3. What are your views on homosexual marriage?-Let them fucking marry. I know a few same sex couples and they are people just like us. Lawmakers are arguing that it is against the faith of God...Well guess what, let's go back to the time of the old colonies of North America. The colonists left England because they were forced to practice on religion. Years later, the United States constitution is written and no where does it say that same sex couples can not marry. We formed this country and its ways to get away from tyranny. This is the land of the free. People have the right to do as they please, without breaking the law of course. Point is, we shouldn't be forcing people to marry someone of the opposite sex.
4. What are your views on armed police forces?-As long as they protect me and don't piss me off, we're cool.
5. What are your views on the legality of firearms?-Now for petes sakes, you should be able to have a fire arm. It's not like you'd be carrying it around everywhere with you. Personally, if you have a gun license, you have the right to have one. It's that simple. Even if they did make it illegal to have guns, gangs and what not would still have them.
6. What are your views on the possible decriminilization of cannabis?-Wtf is Cannabis? Weed?
7. What are your views on the Iraq War?-At first, I supported it because Saddam was a bad man. Once we got them, we couldn't really leave. If we left during the insurgency, the United States would look weak and countries would take notice of this.
8. What are your views on Scottish/Welsh independence?-Don't follow
9. What are your views on nuclear weapons?-It's a scare tactic. Yes, countries have them, but you'd have to be completely nuts for using them.
1. What are your views on abortion? Being Catholic, I believe life begins at conception. So I am against it in most cases. It tears me in half though, when the mother's life is at risk, but in that case, I would say abort the child. It's not worth losing two lives. Partial Birth Breach Abortion, however, is murder. The baby is basically out of the vagina, and then they kill the thing by slicing its head open and sucking out its brains, which is not only barbaric, but murder in my eyes.
2. What are your views on the Northern Ireland situation? The IRA should get over it. Northern Ireland is a part of the UK, and it will remain apart of the UK.
3. What are your views on homosexual marriage? Again, I am Catholic. While being homosexual is not a sin, the act of homosexuality is. I am against gay marriage, because I believe marriage is special bond between a man, a woman, and God.
4. What are your views on armed police forces? As long as they do not infringe on people's rights, I am fine on it.
5. What are your views on the legality of firearms? Guns don't kill people; people kill people. Disarming the populous will not do a thing. In fact, the people who want to kill will still find ways to kill. Besides, the majority of criminals buy their weaponry from the black market. What people do with their firearms is their business, unless it breaks the law. The abolishment of this ammendment is an infringement of my rights, plain and simple.
6. What are your views on the possible decriminilization of cannabis? Seeing as Cannabis puts the user into a torpid state, I am against it when it is not used for medicinal purposes.
7. What are your views on the Iraq War? Sadaam violated Lemkin's Law, which was issued by the United Nations, when he slaughtered the Kurdish people with not only Cyanide, but other types of noxious, poisonus gasses. In that regard, he deserved to be thrown out of power. Now that we are there however, we must get Iraq stable again. If we don't, we have just made another Somalia.
8. What are your views on Scottish/Welsh independence? I wasn't aware that the Scotts or the Welsh wanted independence.
9. What are your views on nuclear weapons? That they shouldn't be used unless necessary.
1. What are your views on abortion? I agree with JT on this one, in a situation such as rape where the mother has no control over the pregnancy, then fair enough, but if you can't keep it in your pocket, well tough titties to you.
2. What are your views on the Northern Ireland situation? I gave up giving two hoots a long time ago. I think a plebiscite should be held and let that be the end to it.
3. What are your views on homosexual marriage? I have no problems. The world is a very liberal place nowadays, but please, I don't want to see a pair of shit-stabbers getting it on in public. As much as I tolerate it, I don't really enjoy the thought and don't want it forced upon me.
4. What are your views on armed police forces? YES! My policy of crime is shoot-on-sight really. If police see law breakers, then they should just get it over with. All it will cost the state is 50c or whatever it is for a bullet, not a few grand in keeping the bastard in jail for half his life. And the police do an extremely hard job and when a nut case charges at them with his rifle he can carry, why should the police officer be in a worse position?
5. What are your views on the legality of firearms? I think firearms should be a lot more strictly limited. Farmers need the ability to protect their stock from predators, people want to go hunting, but allowing guys to walk around with SMGs fully automatic is crazy. Bolt-actions and pump-actions should be sold, with regular checks on the owners for both mental stability and criminal records.
6. What are your views on the possible decriminilization of cannabis? Why? Cannabis is a dangerous and debilitating drug, it should be kept as criminilised.
7. What are your views on the Iraq War? Sadman Insane had to be removed, but they've been over their too long. Once it was proven their were no WMDs and he was gone, they should've pulled out quick-sharp.
8. What are your views on Scottish/Welsh independence? Keep them opressed! Seriously, Britain is more succesful as a big single unit and economy, so why cripple it? Scotland and Wales would be worse off, as the majority of industry is in England.
9. What are your views on nuclear weapons? I feel it was the best option to end WW2, but now they are hopeless. Perhaps one or two should be kept by responsible nations as a deterrent and a last resort.
Under My Command: 5x Supermarine Spitfires/2x Armstrong Whitworth Albemarle/2x Curtiss P-40E Warhawk
Keep them opressed! Seriously, Britain is more succesful as a big single unit and economy, so why cripple it? Scotland and Wales would be worse off, as the majority of industry is in England..
I'm against independence (but pro devolution) as well and I entirely agree that the UK is stronger as one entity, but I do have to point out that Wales and Scotland did have an extremely strong industry. And then England stole Scotland's oil and closed down Wales' coal mines...
EDIT: New Question: Your views on the death penalty?
