1. What are your views on abortion? I believe that it's murder just as much as someone killing another person themself.
2. What are your views on the Northern Ireland situation? Leave the Irish be. It's their country not England's
3. What are your views on homosexual marriage? Homosexuality is wrong in my beliefs. God made one man for one woman.
4. What are your views on armed police forces? The police get more crap than any other city position. If you were in the situation where a man hopped up on drugs runs screaming and yelling at you with a weapon of some sort what are you going to do?
5. What are your views on the legality of firearms? As an American it's the right of the people to bear arms. As it so clearly states in the Amendments. All you should need to do is a background check, and a mental stability test.
6. What are your views on the possible decriminilization of cannabis? Cannabis= Harmful substance.
7. What are your views on the Iraq War? Once Saddam was in prison we should've pulled out. But that was the mistake of our government. Now if we pull out it could send the whole Middle-East into bigger turmoil or complete annihilation.
8. What are your views on Scottish/Welsh independence? Tell them that the English economy would be worse without them. And if that fails let them go. Then they can come crawling back to you when they realize it.
9. What are your views on nuclear weapons? Leave a few to the responsible nations that aren't in a state of emergency.
Death is imminent. The only way to control it is to choose how you die. A coward or a hero.
2. What are your views on the Northern Ireland situation? Leave the Irish be. It's their country not England's
See, I hate the idea of a "British Empire" as much as anyone; the English pretty much invaded hundreds of countries and wiped out their cultures without a second thought, I understand that. And Northern Ireland should never have even been taken by the English in the first place. But, remember, the massive majority of the Northern Irish want to remain as part of the UK. Forcing them into joining the Republic...well...that wouldn't be fair.

Why not make a diplomatic solution? Have a vote or something? The English are overreacting and so is Northern Ireland. They just want to make everything harder than it has to be.

I agree, there should be a vote. End it once and for all.
Although, there have actually been two in the past:
- 1973: 99% chose to stay in the UK, 1% chose to become a part of the Republic of Ireland.
- 1998: 71% chose to stay in the UK, 29% chose to become a part of the Republic of Ireland.
Excellent. Mac, name a country and for that vote of confidence it can be yours to do as you wish.
As for the Death Penalty, for minor offences (tagging, small shoplifting etc), just imprisonment for a long time. For major things, like murder, rape, drug dealing, then shoot 'em. Lots of times.

Fantastic, Mac.
Now this bastard isn't going to stop until he gets world domination. Encouraging him is not a good plan.

1. What are your views on abortion? I don't think that everyone should have an abortion just because they don't want a child and they had unsafe sex, but there are reasons that abortions should be available. Some reasons that they would is if a women was raped and became pregnant or if the parents cannot afford to support a child. Would a person rather live a horrible life, then die before it actually began. So, I feel that abortion is situationally good.
2. What are your views on the Northern Ireland situation? I didn't hear about this before now, but it seems to be a lot like Canada's continuing situation with Quebec wanting independence. In Canada they put it up for voting every few years, and it has not seceded yet due to a low voter percentage for the split.
3. What are your views on homosexual marriage? The reason that the homosexual community wants marriage rights is so that they can split property and gain welfare and healthcare rights and the like that are given to married couples. So, by not allowing them to marry, people are given the misconception that it will stop homosexual relationships which it does not. So, yes, I am for homosexual relationships even though I am straight myself.
4. What are your views on armed police forces? I think that police need to be trained better in recognizing what situations to use actual guns instead of other non-lethal equipment, because most situations that this comes up as a problem is when some police officers react too quickly to a situation's appearance and pull the trigger.
5. What are your views on the legality of firearms? I have no problem with hunting, but some of the guns available are overly absurd for sport hunting. I feel that there should be a caliber limit on weaponry along with a few other limits to keep publicly available weapons to have the maximum capabilities be to take down large game and nothing more. The only exceptions are military and police forces.
6. What are your views on the possible decriminalization of cannabis? I think that the government could make some very good profits by taxing some of these drugs. Then they could use these profits to work on some more important problems in the country instead of spending so much to arrest them.
7. What are your views on the Iraq War? I think that they have stopped making progress and that the forces should be progressively removed and Iraq should be left by themselves for a while.
8. What are your views on Scottish/Welsh independence? I do not have views on this yet.
9. What are your views on nuclear weapons? That the production of these weapons has made warfare much worse in the long run, but I do feel that they should be used, but only as a last result. At the moment though, they are a waste of governments money to purchase these expensive bombs that will never be used.
10. Your views on the death penalty? I think that more focus needs to be put into rehabilitating criminals instead of jailing them for lifetime sentences. If they would otherwise be rehabilitated, then no, but if they will just be spending their whole life wasting away in a jail cell, then why shouldn't we?

Death Penalty:
If you have over whelming evidence including multiple witnesses...for the crimes of Rape, Murder, Child molestation, yeah, fry them up real nice like, and this whole thing about the lethal injection being painful...they will be dead in a manner of seconds, so what if it hurts a little bit.

1. What are your views on abortion? Personally, I believe it should stay. I understand some people abuse it, but they seem to be in the minority, and a large number of people simply can’t bring up a child. It would be cruel on the baby, because its parents can often not support it, and it would end up in foster care or something along those lines. So its sparing a child from a degree of pain in most circumstances.
2. What are your views on the Northern Ireland situation? A tough one. England has always been very expansionist, but that is the reason we are the only nation to have ‘Great’ as our title. Ireland has always seemed to be a nest of unrest, hell in the Troubles there were so many factions fighting so many others. I’m just glad they are mostly over. Frankly, I believe NI should remain part of the UK. Giving into terrorists who blow children to bits is simply wrong.
3. What are your views on homosexual marriage? Meh, they are here to stay. I don’t really care, as long as they don’t keep ramming it down our throats that they are who they are.
4. What are your views on armed police forces? I don’t see much use for them. There is little gun crime in the UK, and personally in the areas that there are, they should simply be Blitzed with the Army, and martial law put in place. You piss a soldier off and half a platoon of skinheads will beat you to death.
5. What are your views on the legality of firearms? The only reason I can see to purchase a gun is to protect yourself from the bloke next door, who has a gun. So why even go down that hole in the first place?
6. What are your views on the possible decriminalization of cannabis? If you let one drug through, more will follow.
7. What are your views on the Iraq War? One big fuck up. Going in the first time was justified, going in the second time was because Bush Jr. wanted to finish his Dad’s work for him. And Tony Blair wanted to unite the country when it was falling apart around him, but just forced it down even faster.
8. What are your views on Scottish/Welsh independence? They don’t like it when England oppresses them, but they seem to like all the perks which comes with it. They are part of the UK and they are ruled by the same person. Little can be done.
9. What are your views on nuclear weapons? Best peace keeping devices ever invented.
10. Your views on the death penalty? Should be brought back for terrorists. They want to murder hundreds of people in cold blood, let them get taste of their own medicine.
Well, when the Paddy's started attacking the Paras with explosives and firearms, do you expect them to sit down and have a cup of tea? They just did what they were trained to do against hostiles.

1. What are your views on abortion? Look, seeing as most of us are men, it's hard to have an opinion that has any weight seeing as we won't experience pregnancy. I think that abortion should be completely legal. As Strum said, vewry few if any people are abusing it and there is no reason to punish the majority for a minority's mistake.
2. What are your views on the Northern Ireland situation? According to the previous referenda, they want to be a part of the UK. Let them. Honestly, democracy is at work and bombs are no reason to stop.
3. What are your views on homosexual marriage? Let them. I don't care who you marry. Marry your horse if you like. But after you get your rights, would you just be yourselves a little less vibrantly. I see the day when heterosexuals will be marching, saying their proud. That will be a sight to see. 4. What are your views on armed police forces? I say that special police forces trained to deal with a hostile situation, such as a SWAT team ought to be the only force carrying guns. There's no need for the expense or the threat for normal officers to carry them. The clubs are deterrent enough for most people.
5. What are your views on the legality of firearms? Look, most of the western world, with one major exception, has little gun crime. Even in Canada we have as many guns per person as the Americans. Guns are not the problem. Distrusting your neighbour is the problem. If you really think the guy next door is going to shoot you then something is wrong with him or you. With that though, I believe assault rifles should not be available. They were made to kill people, not hunt animals. I would also get rid of the gun shows in the States. Better regulation and more sanity is what we need
6. What are your views on the possible decriminalisation of cannabis? Legalise it already. If it takes 1680kg to get an overdose, then we are freaking out too much. Anyway, it's de facto legal in Canada and we're not experiencing any backlash. Not to mention, the drug is not addictive and it does not lead to the use of any other drugs. And, people are going to smoke it anyway. As the Dutch say, "we made smoking pot boring."
7. What are your views on the Iraq War? The US has been stuck in so many clusterfucks like this. They lied to go into Vietnam, they didn't wait for an answer from Saddam in Desert Storm and George 43 lied to go to war there. Thousands of Iraqi civilians are dead, which have led to a direct increase in insurgent activities. It was a huge mistake and the best thing the Americans can do right now is train and reinstate the Iraqi army which was disbanded (stupid idea). Let the Iraqis take care of the insurgency and get the hell out of there. The real problems are in Afghanistan and Pakistan. That's where the troops need to be.
8. What are your views on Scottish/Welsh independence? I'm all for Scots and Welshmen being Scottish and Welsh. However, it would be a huge economic killer for them. Just like Quebec, as Owen explained. If Quebec left, their economy would crash and the French Canadians would live in a state of perpetual poverty. 9. What are your views on nuclear weapons? Possibly the worst weapon thought up by man after the neutrino bomb and biological weapons. There are too many people willing to destroy the earth for us to have the capacity to do it. All it takes is having the wrong person in charge of any nuclear nation. Take Kim Jon-Il for example. The fact of their existence gave him the right to get the weapons. Every nation has a right to them by some people's logic. I don't think any nation should have a right to them.
Alas, they are here to stay. So the best thing we can do is try to dismantle the arsenal to a point that we won't accidentally destroy the world if the weapons are used in defence.
1. What are your views on abortion?I believe that abortion should be legal, because in life no one should make a decision for you, and that as Doc said, only a minority have misused this.
2. What are your views on the Northern Ireland situation? I haven't really paid attention to this situation before, but if it is important to the rest of the world, then it should be solved safely, letting no other innocents die in the process. 3. What are your views on homosexual marriage? I believe that homosexual marriage is okay, because they like their heterosexual counter parts are all in one category and should be given the same rights. 4. What are your views on armed police forces? By giving someone a gun, you tempt them to use it. So by giving a police officer a gun, you teach them to kill. When you teach someone to kill they will kill someone else who might not know how to use the weapon. Instead all police forces that are armed shouldn't be given guns unless it is like S.W.A.T. where they are meant for firefights. Just S.W.A.T. should not be trained to kill, but to wound, like shots to the shoulders or legs. 5. What are your views on the legality of firearms? Fire arms should not be given out because as said before, giving a man a gun, allows him to kill. When someone is given a gun, they get a feeling of authority, in which they might hurt numerous people. If they do this, other guns might be used to kill them. Guns should be restricted to personnel who know how to use them carefully. Also assault rifles and high powered weapons like the M82 should not be allowed to be bought by civilians. Firstly it gives them the impression they can do what they want with them. Like Owen said, there should be a strict gun law. 6. What are your views on the possible decriminilization of cannabis? I have not looked into this, but I think it should be legal. 7. What are your views on the Iraq War? The U.S. going into Iraq has been a complete waste of human life. I don't pick sides in this stupid war, because all I care for is that people, whether they carry guns or not are being killed for what they believe. From the American point of view, they think they are freeing a people that were under oppression. Yes, they were under oppression, but did they want our help. Iraq is a useless place to be fighting. The U.S. thinks that since planes were crashed into the W.T.C. that they should kill as many insurgents as possible, hoping that, that would eliminate the threat. No,it won't because killing only leads to more killing. In a world that we live in, if you cannot be tolerant of anyone else, this world will in the end perish by wars. (Please note that by me saying that the war is wrong and that the U.S. is wrong, please don't think I don't respect the men fighting, because I do. I just feel that what they are fighting for is wrong.) 8. What are your views on Scottish/Welsh independence? Haven't really looked into this. 9. What are your views on nuclear weapons? Nuclear weapons should be demolished, or at least have the arsenals downsized, because the weapons shouldn't be here in the first place. The weapons are inhumane weapons that will only sprout more killing if they are used. When the Enola Gay dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima, when they saw it explode, they thought "What have we done." By the creation of these weapons they have given people power and authority over others. When these missiles are used, the only people who should be seriously troubled are the civilians which is wrong in war. The civilians should not be punished for what their leaders have done.
The problem, Snyder, is with the "shoot-to-wound" policy, can you expect them to carefull shoot somebody's arm if there's an assault rifle pointed at them? They would shoot for the largest target, and, to be honest, if somebody pointed a gun at me with intent and I could shoot they'd be lucky if a few rounds in the chest is all they'd get.

However, Nathan, most of live in insanely safe nations. New Zealand, Canada, the UK, and Germany are all very safe. I would guess the only person who's been shot at on this board would be JT. Perhaps Dan with the Irish mess going on, but I highly doubt it. My point is, yes there's always a chance, but almost all of us live in some of the safest places on earth. There is no need to even discuss armed police. It just occurs to me that specialists ought to be the ones using the weapons and I don't know how they should be trained. I'm not an expert in everything (I wish) but I believe the experts in police tactics ought to decide how a SWAT team or other works.
