2247 HOURS (10:47 PM)
2.5 miles off the German encampment
Blargh…
Naga roughly wiped his mouth over his dirtied sleeves and swung his idle arm wildly, only to miss the tree by inches. “Bah,” he cursed the ground, “What in the world am I doing here? I should be home…in Japan.”
Silent tears escaped his eyes—angry at how weak his temperance was to a child’s desire of going home. A soldier has no feeling. A soldier has no future. Simply exists to serve his country. That’s what he was taught, and now the teachings meant nothing to him.
Slumping forward, his fingers moved themselves accordingly around a half-empty bottle, and he permitted their magic to work on him. If only this enchantment last…
Snap. His ears perked up to the sound of a drawing creature.
“Go away!” his voice dry, too fatigued to continue this conversation in the German tongue, “Did you ever consider I want to be alone?”
But the footsteps did not retreat. Instinct raised his suspicion
“Did you not hear me?” Naga wavered slightly, “Please leave me alone!”
Again the noise was insistent in moving forward. Rather than taking any chance, a friend or a foe, the soldier dived down to snatch his Mauser Karbine off the ground but the Roggenbier bottle fumbled out of his hand as he did so.
“Dam it. Now you make me spill my drink…But no matter,” he smirked as he picked the glass up, “Maybe you want tO DRINK SOME TOO.”
The bottle shattered against the tree supposedly scaring wild animals away; however, a glimpse of the reflecting glass proved it to be human.
Frightened or excited, the young man couldn’t describe himself of the sudden chill that ran up his spine as he saw the dark figure. He decided to take on excitement instead of the former.
“Explain yourself,” Naga shouted clearly first in German then English, “I have aimed my gun at your position. I suggest you to be wise and reveal yourself.”
OOC: Fight or no fight…just surprise me. ^^
