Gero did not stand up right away when the hands released his throat, only crouched over, gasping. If he stood up, he feared he would pass out, and that would look foolish. If the Limey was going to shoot him, Gero wanted as much pride as he could muster. His back was on the enemy, as it was at the moment, and he looked up, his face red and blotchy with lack of oxygen and blatant fury. That whelp! That inferior, stupid jap! Attacking one of his alleys. Gero was told that the Asian dogs were well trained, quick on their feet and clever. Lies, all of them. Lies from their emperor's officials to place his little army on the winning side of the war.
Gero was about to get up, eyes still crackling with rage, almost unaware of the threat behind him, when the Jap fired the gun. He jumped back as the smell of burning powder stung his nose and face, and raised his own weapon. He was reminded that he was back at war.
Argh! Naga; You had to shoot my poor Lieutenant Brentwood!
Allied Effect:
Lieutenant Liam J. Brentwood: After surprising the Enemy and failing to shoot (but rather, offer a means in surrendering), Lieutenant Brentwood was successful in surprising the enemy, even mercifully offering a surrender.
Axis Effect:
Private Naga Warasaki: - Failing to choke-hold the wrong enemy, Mr Warasaki is slightly bruised from the back-lash by the Comrade Soldier (Pvt. Gero). - Slowly setting his rifle down, Naga’s Aim is roughly estimated when pulling the trigger under tense circumstances, but successfully hit Lieutenant Brentwood with the shot via’ the Thigh. Causing a penetrative wound, rather than a flesh wound.
Private Gero Ansgar: - Successful in escaping his Comrade’s grasp, Gero’s bearings are still slightly ‘stunned & Dazed’.

OOC: All is fair in love and war.
Naga, not knowing what came over him, charged to the wounded lieutenant with the end of the Kar sticking out. He had never considered a rash move apt to a close range attack, but he thought it was better this than a capture from the enemy at hand. Naga felt his breath shortened, tightened almost, at the exhilaration of facing death close in surface. The young private had always imagined those Westerners, the British, deformed in some way as the evil the Emperor said they manifested, but now when he approached the soldier before him he was nothing more than a tired man, not much different than his distant uncle who gave a passing smile whenever he thought his toddler nephew needed it.
But that’s what he wanted you to believe. The sinister voice whispered in his ears as his shoulders slammed forward to the Allied making him winced slightly from the bruise he procured earlier. Naga struggled to bring the enemy down, but as his footing caught loose in its balance he tumbled forward; his hand lunged on the back of the soldier’s collar. All the while he expected the comrade he mistakenly attacked to disregard his slight error and in some way immobilized the Allied soldier they were now facing.

Offering a surrender? The most peaceful (as could be) and respectful thing to do, when faced with a foe at point-blank range, that just happened to have no other way out. Being shot by that foe regardless of their health; humiliating. The Lieutenant’s body yet again twisted, as his leg buckled beneath him from the rifle shot, the sly enemy that’d calculated and judged his aim when setting the rifle down had actually hit him! The poor Lieutenant was a good few six, several feet away, yet the bullet zipped into his thigh, causing another wound upon the British Male - the yearning cry left his lips as he lowered his rifle slightly, sucking cold air in through his teeth from the beckoning pain down his body once again.
“Arggghhh…!” was all that slipped from out of the Officer’s mouth, unaware to the unfolding situation before him, as his clenched closed eyes slowly draped open, just visually making out the whites of the Japanese male’s eyes, before he felt the end of the rifle (with no bayonet on?) thump against his stomach, the Lieutenant’s hands automatically clutching his own rifle, as he shoved the wooden cumbersome fighting material downwards against the man’s rifle, lodging it loose from protruding against his body -- that was until the clumsy male fell against him.
Liam’s legs trembled lightly, one of them already wounded, not to mention his chest from earlier - a lucky shot yet again from the Axis male. As the Commando stumbled backwards, he tried to lever the weight from the Japanese man’s body from off his own, as he stepped backwards, slanting his body sideways, before giving a full hardy push with his rifle, hoping to pride off the man clutching onto him. The Lieutenant did try, but the wound on his leg wasn’t holding him up long, as he weakly fell to one knee in the process, gritting his teeth, still trying his ‘damn’ hardest to push the man from off him, before he inevitably made another move… Throwing his head forwards, he hoped to at least use his thick skull for something, other than think and dream…

Gero, for one moment, seriously considered allowing the two to struggle with each other until one's strength gave out first. It was almost like watching a sport. He was in no danger, and his anger would be justly served if Naga was seriously wounded by this. Or killed, because that way Gero could not be blamed for not helping. He could easily shoot the wounded soldier once Naga was dead and then return back to camp. And tell everybody how brave he had been, ha!
No. That was not a nice thing.
The two squirmed around with eachother, leaving Gero completely free to move as he pleased. He raised the butt of his rifle, ready to smash it on the back of the enemy's head, but the struggling was too intense. He couldn't get a proper aim. He hit the man once, satisfied when the enemy's shoulder gave a hearty thump, and then reached out with his leg to prod him gently in the side. Too much man-power from him could send Naga falling on top of the enemy, and that would just look silly, as well as being dangerous. They were still playing with guns, after all.
He raised his gun, bluffing of course. He would not shoot. Thoughts of revenge were all good, but he would not make a mistake and shoot his comrade. Gero just hoped the other would be too exhausted to put up much resistance, and then they could bring him back to camp. Make an example of him at the nearby town, mayhaps. For nothing said "obey" like a strong, young soldier being hung in the town square. The populace would have to comply once their saviors were made to look human again.
It was a night he would remember. To find a trespasser close to base while he was out having a one-on-one talk with the sweet, ripe liquor was a chance he least expected and more of it to grapple with this man in their tug of death had him on a smile. Perhaps the intoxicated juice had been all along pumping through his veins and kept him in this sedentary somewhat foolish yet peaceful state. It sure answered why he attacked the lanky German private or drove him to confront the Allied as open as he did.
But the past was in the past, and Naga learned the thoughts of these placed dangers to himself, not a desirable mean for a man who neared the taste of victory. He had two more shots left of his Kar, quite enough to end a person’s life, but maybe just maybe a quick inquiry by the pals in the camp would prove best for the Fatherland and for Japan.
The collar grab had Naga secured his steady footing again though
*crack*
the head bash had him staggering away.
God he’s stubborn. Naga swung his Kar out of reflex. Good thing he did it because now I remember why I’ve never taken a liking to close range combat. This and…he smell… He scrunched up his nose and narrowed his eyes as the rifle flew midway in air before he spun to his left and grabbed hold of the rifle’s end. The Kar, mouth opened, gazed on the British almost hungry with a steely glare that’s ready to swallow him whole.
Naga knew he had not yet unarmed the Allied officer, and the Lieutenant could easily shot him from the distance between them. But with the Kar pointed at him, the always scheming soldier thought both him and one-hella-a-fight fighter had solely a one on one way losing street…that is until Gero stepped in or the foe held at gunpoint figured a calculation he had missed.
“Let’s be gentlemen,” he spoke without a slight waver, “You’re not from around here. I’m not from around here. I don’t want to die on this…tsk…soiled land and I can assure you that you don’t want it either.” He flicked his chin towards Gero, and though he could not see, assumed the German private had his deadly arms equipped on a moment’s notice.
