OOC: Laya' four NPC's are Ivan Nesterov, Yaroslav Anisimov, Sofia Lebedeva, and Tima Nazarov. Those rectangles on the factory are the fixtures (heating/cooling, etc) on the roof.
Laya heard the German yelling ”Factory! Fire at the upper windows, I need covering fire!” At that moment, she realized that the lights were on, completely exposing them...could Nikolai have knocked the switch? "Get down!" she screamed, just as the Germans began to open fire. All five in the building dropped down. "Damn!" she growled. Aristarkh had better be able to return this favour...but we have to get the lights out! Try to...try to stay down til they're off!" She waited several seconds for the Germans to empty their clips...she picked up her rifle, and sprinted a short distance across the factory floor, towards the part where the balcony floor had fallen. She paused for only a moment, then started to slide down the fallen platform. But she was startled by the nearby explosion of the Panzerschreck, and fell off the side and onto the rubble, fortunately out of the sniper's line of sight.
"Laya! Are you okay?!" called Sofia, crawling towards her. "Urgh..." groaned Laya. "...Yeah...oof...I'm fine...Boryenko! Nikolai Boryenko, shut down the Generator!!" She quickly moved to where the powerhouse would block the sniper's line of sight, before taking a look out. "He's crawled out to shoot!" Sofia called quietly. "Damn fool, what is he doing?!" she growled, then jumped out the window and ran into the powerhouse through its destroyed wall. The windows and door on the opposite wall were destroyed, so anyone could rush in. Laya looked around for a switch to shut off the generator, and eventually found it. "Ah-h! Yes..." She quickly pulled it down, and in a heartbeat all the lights in and on the factory went out. Not only did this make her own troops harder to spot, but also allowed them to more easily see the Germans in the darkness.
It was starting to drizzle again, but was little more than a mist at this time. She sighed, rushing back into the factory. "Alright, that's settled...I'm going up top!" And with that, she rushed up the pile of rubble to the balcony. Eventually, she reached the ladder leading to the roof, and hastily climbed up. Fortunately, there was a two foot lip over the roof floor, so she would not immediately be seen. Laya heaved herself up, resting a moment. Alright...damn this hasn't gone well... Laya then hopped up and quickly took cover behind one on the large fixtures on the roof. Hopefully we can turn this battle...

- First off...balcony, ladder, roof fixtures, two foot lip?! Where did all of this come from? As you have made no hostile actions to which these things would have benefited you I will let it slide unless your opponent can offer a compelling arguement as to how this would strongly sway the battle.
- As stated above, no hostile actions or orders have been given, however after having been fired upon so heavily morale is dropping as the soldiers of the Red Army are feeling that the battle is currently in their enemy's favor.
- I'm not entirely sure which building you moved to to cut the power to your building as you have offered no movement lines. The power has been cut but due to poor conditions will not be able to be restored without the help of an Engineer.

From atop the pile of rubble, Luther could see sporadic firing, the Russians and his Machine Gun both exchanging bursts to make sure everybody was aware they hadn’t left. At the moment, the Soviets seemed content to just wait behind cover. They were in a bad position; the only thing separating them from Luther was a building, all the doors and windows boarded over to prevent them from seeing out. If the Germans could channel them through the alleyways, it would be a shooting-range.
Luther set the Panzershreck down, it would be too cumbersome for what he had in mind, and quickly checked his MP40, Browning and knives – they were all ready, and in a position for him to draw quickly and cleanly, yet they were secured enough not to fall out. ”Frankfurter,” he called, and indicated the Panzershreck, ” Halten Sie das Fort. Wir sind dabei, einen Angriff zu machen. Wenn sie beladen, den Panzershreck verwenden, um sie geführt zu machen und sich zu verbergen.” Frankfurter nodded, gather the Panzershreck and checking it was ready to fire. ” Wagner, schalten Sie mit Dresner um”
” Beike, Schtriffer, lassen das Anspannen fallen. Jeder, volle Zeitschriften und Bajonette.” The two harnesses containing Panzershreck shells were placed on the floor, and all the Germans topped up the 98k magazines whilst securing bayonets. Luther let out a long whistle, followed by a call. ”Lucy, hier.” He waited, hoping his faithful dog would come bounding back. While he waited, he crawled over to the window. ”Honecker. Verwenden Sie Ihren Trupp und halten Sie die Sowjets unterdrückt an der Gasse. Ignorieren Sie die Fabrik, das Maschinengewehr und Scharfschütze haben das.”
Honecker acknowledged and adjusted his squad, pressing them up against the tank to protect them from the factory. With five rifles and a sub-machine gun pointed at a narrow entrance, there was no way for the Soviets to escape. And with the occasional volleys of fire Honecker ordered, it kept there attention towards the squad, hopefully allowing them to neglect the other entrance to their hidey-hole.
Luther smiled, satisfied that the plan was going ahead. ”Recht. Mit mir.” The squad quickly and silently climbed to their feet and followed Luther over the rubble, carefully watching their steps. As soon as Luther was on solid ground, he took point, MP40 nestled in his shoulder. He hurried over towards the building, the boarded-up windows next to his left shoulder as the squad fell in behind him.
Luther finished off moving towards the corner, stopping a metre away. He flattened against the wall, working out the best way to go around. He made a pushing movement with his right hand, and his squad moved forward slightly, forming a curved line so everybody had a line of fire if somebody ran around the corner. Luther held his MP40’s pistol grip in his left hand, and moved his right on to the grip of his Browning.
He would fire blindly around the corner, sending a burst over the alleyway to try and kill anybody there. If somebody was close enough to grab his MP40, he had the option of letting go over it, and spinning around with the Browning. At the close range, there would be no reason not to give them the good news. Once he had fired, the squad would move round, a bayonet charge.
He looked at the squad, raising his eyebrows as he indicated the plan. They all nodded, and tightened their grips on their rifles. He mouthed a count-down, three, two, one.
He took a side-step, keeping his body behind the building as his MP40 arm swung around. He had little control as he fired, the weapon kicked spraying everywhere, but that was the plan. If he could spray all the occupants in the alley, there would be little opposition. Very quickly, half a magazine was spent and the squad followed, moving around the corner, quickly taking a target further down the alleyway, and then sprinting down the left-hand side of the alley, bayoneting all in their way. Luther quickly switched hands on his MP40, brought the weapon to shoulder and stood on the right side of the alleyway. He saw the group of Soviets halfway down the alleyway, and quickly began bursting at them, emptying the rest of the magazine before reloading and moving down the alleyway.
” Steigen Sie, steigen Sie! Machen Sie sich wieder bereit, machen Sie sich bereit!” Luther was screaming, the air was thick with the acrid smell of cordite, and he moved up to the right hand turn, this time keeping the weapon firmly in his shoulder. The squad spread out again, rifles aiming towards the turning, breathing in deeply to re-oxygenate their blood.
Luther let the MP40 fall on its sling and reached on to his belt, pulling out a grenade. He unscrewed the bottom and yanked the porcelain ball. He counted in his head, one thousand, two thousand, three thousand.
He threw the grenade around the corner, hard at the wall so that it would bounce off and land near the feet of the Soviets. As soon as it was gone, he grabbed for the MP40, raising it back to his shoulder and waited for the explosion.
The grenade detonated, and Luther waited a further second before coming around the corner in case of any shrapnel. He stepped around, the squad followed, but they held fire until Luther opened up. ” Lassen Sie Ihren wepons fallen! LASSEN SIE IHRE WAFFEN FALLEN!” He was screaming in German, half hoping any surviving Soviets would fail to get the message so he could shoot them.
Honecker heard the explosion, and caught on to what was happening. He picked himself up from the ground, called ”comen mit mir,” and ran towards the alleyway. His squad entered at the opposite end to Luther’s, shouting out in German to make sure there identity was confirmed to everybody.

Actions:
- The German sniper and Machine Gunner were able to keep a decent amount of fire on the factory itself, not taking much time to aim they were unabel to inflict any casualties but were indeed able to keep the Soviets from firing on the men moving below.
- Luther and his group were able to move into position without taking any injuries and without being noticed.
- The fire on the west side of the alley way did draw most of the attention of the Soviet troops and pushed them a few steps deeper into the alley.
- The blind MP40 fire only inflicted a minor discomfort to Sokolov as a round impacted the wall of the building and threw debris int othe man's faces, temporarily blinding him until he could wipe his eyes...
- ...sadly for him the time would never come, the immediate rush of Axis troops down the alley way brought forth a bit of fire and many blades, Sokolov took two rounds in the upper chest, saving the man behind him but he was dead before he hit the ground.
- The Soviets fired as quickly as they could to repel the German troops, Tyvzo was the first to inflict damage, his first round hit Schtriffer in the lower right abdomen and the man buckled then fell, his injury is not sever yet, but will worsen rapidly if not tended to.
- The Axis troops with their imperial bayonets held the advantage in hand to hand combat, their superior training made it pretty much a training exersize.
- Beike's bayonet was the first to be drenched in Soviet blood, Hentogo's to be precise, the blade pierced his throat and severed his spine before exiting the rear of his neck, killing him.
- Beike was slowed by the impact and trying to remove his rifle from the bloody mess and fell behind in the charge.
- (I'm not entirely sure who went on the advance and who satyed behind) Felix Miles was now at the front of the assault, adrenaline filled and all, he was eyeing his first kill of the war...not what was at his feet and tripped, his rapid movement would have made for a glorious flight had he not been shot in the process, the round struck a major arterly in his chest, he will bleed out before the German's reach the corner of the building.
- Still the bloodbath continues...
- Gorgus took a rifle butt to the side of his head and crumbled to the ground.
- Zjohnso, Tyvzo, and Hengel tucked tail and ran north as quickly as they could to escape the crushing move by the German troops, they were the first to see the second squad of Nazi's approaching the other opening and were the only ones to make it out.
- William's grenade wasn't a full surprise to the Soviet troops, the surprise came when Hootinto reached to throw it back, the moment he got a decent grip was the same moment his life ended when it detonated, his body sheilding the remaing men from the blast sho had already hit the ground.
- Luther and his remaining men sealed off the east side while the second element of his attack under the command of SGT Honecker approached to seal off the west side, A. Boryenko, Grant, and Dripshin were cut off and surrounded.
- One of the PVTs under Honecker, in all the excitement was panicing slightly and fired down the alleyway, the Soviets allready on the ground were unharmed by the single round, however the men standing at the other end of the alley were precisely in the way, Muller took a glancing shot in his left bicep.
- Beike however never caught up with the rest of the squad, Gorgus, who in the mass confussion was thought to be dead regained conciousness and surprised Beike, with a swift thrust Gorgus punctured the Beike's lung with his knife and left him to drown on his own blood, Gorgus next closest target was Luther.
- Luther felt a small splash of liquid on the back of his head and neck, then he turned quickly to see Gorgus falling to the ground, his screams quickly replaced by the gurgling of his own blood as Lucy finally joined the party and in a leaping fit of loyalty for her master, slayed his would be attacker, his jugular was quite a nice chew toy.
- Beike succame to his wounds moments later.
---------- I was unable to create a map, the internet is hating me atm, there are two dead German soldiers and three dead Soviet soldiers in the eastern alleyway. There is one dead Soviet soldier in the northern alleyway. There are two wounded German soldiers at the intersection with Luther. Three Soviet soldiers have retreated back to the cover of the north eastern most building. ----------

Aristarkh couldn’t believe what was happening. One minute it was quiet and the next he heard gun shots at the end of the other alleyway. His heart began to pound and pulse at a very fast pace before his mind went straight to the grenades on his chest. Immediately he dove for the ground and grabbed the two grenades on his chest and held them in his hands. He was ready to cook them off and toss one.
He could only think that he would need to toss his grenades towards the enemy for his only chance of a retreat to the factory where he could rest up before a counter attack. Looking at both of his sides he could only notice he was surrounded and the Axis were ready to fire at any moment in time. He looked at his troops and then thought of a way to do it. He would have to sacrifice lives for his and the victory for the motherland.
Aristarkh looked at his men for a quick second before yelling out loud at them Stand up! They began to scurry around a bit before he yelled again STAND UP, and wave something white! The men stood and Aristarkh grabbed one grenade and pulled the pin with his teeth after he turned to his side a bit for a good throwing position. He held it, essentially cooking it, for two seconds as he threw it to his left and then quickly rolled to his other side and pulled the pin, cooking the grenade as he then threw the other one to his right.
Aristarkh heard the first bang followed by a second loud bang as he grabbed his smoke grenade and tossed it to his left a little ways until he heard it pop and saw the smoke come out of the grenade. Waiting the very few seconds it took to fill up the alleyway he then stood to his feet quickly grabbing his knife and his rifle, shooting towards the end of the alleyway and the running with his knife in front of him waiting for anyone to oppose him.
[[ooc: this is for if anyone is left to the end of the alleyway after the grenade and the shots fired]]
Aristarkh then ran up and noticed a few opposition at the end of the alleyway. Thrusting his knife at them he stab violently until he was clear to run from the alleyway and towards the factory, or even the safety of another building. He finally made his way to the northeastern most building with the other privates.
[[ooc: This is for if he can just run straight through the alleyway with no combat]]
Aristarkh began to run towards the end of the alley. He saw nothing standing there so running his fastest Aristarkh stayed along side of the buildings. He knew that there was something firing at the factory as he could hear it so he swerved back and forth hoping to not be shot. He reached the northeastern most building where he charged inside and immediately took cover.
[[ooc: This is if Aristarkh’s men do not stand up]]
Aristarkh Noticed around him all of his men were still pinned to the ground. He let go of his grenades and pulled out a white hanker chief out of his pocket and placed it on the muzzle of his rifle and flew it into the air with out any movement of his grenades. Aristarkh had surrendered.
[[ooc: The black line is the path he took to the building. The pink lines are the grenades. The white lines are the area that he fired the five rounds in.]]

Actions:
- The Soviet troops within hearing distance of A. Boryenko did as they were told, surrendering did seem like the best option at the time and they didn't have to ponder disobeying a direct order.
- But listening to their leader's lie would misguide them to the very end.
- As the Soviet troops stood there were more than two sets of German eyes available for each of them and every slow move they made was watched intently.
- As A. Boryenko pulled the pin on one of his grenades he was able to be seen by both ends of the hallway having turned to his side and three bullets ripped through him within the blink of an eye, all having been shot at varying angles, the Germans learned from just a moment ago and didn't want to incur any more friendly fire.
- The German troops that did not see what was happening reacted on instinct, if your leader fires at something and you have no target, you join him unless told otherwise.
- The remaining Soviet soldiers in the alleyway were cut down in an instant, A. Boryenko was dead before he hit the ground, one of the rounds having glanced off a rib and stright through his heart, another soviet was killed in the cross fire, the remaining one was only injured...until the grenade went off.
- Dripshin was finished off by his leader's grenade, one German soldier was minorly wounded by shrapnel from the grenade, Stempf, small cut above his right eye, bit of shock, the walls creating the alley way took the brunt of the blast.
- Finally one of the Soviet soldiers in the Factory was able to gain the intestinal fortitude to peek out and even got off a shot at SGT Honecker's men, it missed in it's haste and movement of intended target, SGT Honecker then rushed his men further into the alley way and linked up with Luther.

There was a heavy smell of gunpowder in the air with the battle continuing to go seemingly one-sided at the moment. The factory across the road had its lights all turned off apparently, meaning they were in a somewhat frantic position. The MG and the sniper were being very effective in the battle, suppressing the opposite side almost completely. There was other communist bastards to the right of the German's current position, they revealed their position rather quickly. Sadly, Luther's dog hasn't come back yet so it would take some time before she would be back ready for combat.
Luther truly was a man of presence, organizing his troops effectively to go for a two-pronged attack. Erdmann simply stayed where he was, observing the troops and their conditions. Most of them were very well fit and still had plenty of stamina as expected of the SS soldiers. The panzer was laid down, everyone attaching bayonets and doing the basic check-up. They all looked extremely confident, their morale wasn't as low as the Russians most likely, but more encouragement would be nice. Not wanting to say anything, Erdmann made his way to the injured soldier that would be left at the base.
"Ich muss eine Prüfung machen. Es könnte sein, kleinere, aber die Wunde darf nicht infiziert werden. Sit so kann ich es förmlich zu überprüfen," ordered Erdmann in a calm and somewhat friendly matter. No matter how small the injury, it was always prone to infection. The private followed the order with no difficulty, sitting down right under the window as he used it as cover at the same time. He pulled up his left arm all the way up to the shoulder. It was a small graze, but he might aswell make sure it was nothing too serious. Erdmann put on his own sterilized gloves that he took out from the medical bag, carefully putting them on his hands so he doesn't dirty them and render them ineffective.
Patting down the soldier, he found the sterilzed package that held the soldiers dresser, sulfur powder and sulfa tablets. These were used to stop infection, but the soldier just needed to drink some water along with the tablets. Obviously, it wouldn't be immediate acting but it would prevent any infection as long as the battle would be going on.
Taking one tablet out of the case that was in the sterilized packaging, he made the soldier take it so then he could put it in his mouth. Taking out the own soldier's canteen, Erdmann made sure the Private drank enough to swallow the pill down, but the Private might be doing physical activity so Erdmann took the canteen away immediately once the soldier had the tablet going down his throat with only a sip.
Now taking a field dressing out of the sterilized packaging, it was in a plasic envelope. Erdmann teared it open, as the field dressing was still wrapped in paper. He teared it carefully, as to not damage the field dressing itself. He remoevd it from the wrapped paper, grasping the folded bandages and tails with both hands. Erdmann held the field dressing above the exposed wound with the sterilized white side of the dressing material toward the wound. He pulled on the tails so that the dressing would open and flatten while making sure he didn't touch the white side of the dressing at all. Erdmann placed the white side of the dressing on top of the wound while using one hand on top of the dressing to hold it in place. He signaled the private to hold the dressing in place so that Erdmann could secure it.
Wrapping one of the bandages around the wound, he covered one of the exposed sides of the dressing with the bandage. Then, he brought the tails back over the dressing. Then, Erdmann wrapped the other bandage around the wound in the opposite direction, covering the remaining exposed side of the dressing with the bandage. Then, he brought the tails back to the dressing. Erdmann began to tie the tails into a non-slip knot over the outer edge of the dressing, not over the wound itself. Then, he checked to make sure it was tight enough to keep the dressing from slipping but not tight enough to interfere with blood circulation. He put two fingers under the knot, which was the space that would be safe. Erdmann try to re-arrange it a bit, not wanting to agitate the wound but just enough that the soldier's accuracy would not be affected.
"Unteroffizer, überlasse ich es Ihnen. Wir bedanken uns für Ihre Bemühungen Jungs, töten mehr kommunistischen Bastarde," said Erdmann, trying to raise morale. But he had done what he needed to do, so he waited for the impending attack by keeping his head low, sneaking back to his previous position. He saw Luther's group run off into the distance, going to the eastern buildings. The squad behind the ruined tank was proving covering fire, along with the sniper and machine-gun team. It was a great base of fire, tactical thinking straight off the top of the head.
The bullets began to fly through the air, clanging against the outerside of the window panels and walls. Gunshots could be heard across the immediate vincity, the sounds of soldiers moving around the battlefield to gain the upperhand. While everything was happening, Erdmann prepared to move out incase of any casualties which was most likely. Several shots were fired while the blood curdling screams of communists echoed through the area, while the germans seemed to be taking the advantage, yells filled with confidence. Then, the squad across the street began to move out while receiving covering fire from the Machine-gun and sniper. They were quite effective in the battle.
Erdmann moved out during the time that the second squad came that was near the tank, came around to the other side of the alley-way. This would allow him to traverse the craters that was next to the building that Erdmann was in, so he could effectively come from the side unnoticed. He took cover in the craters when he was able to, but he checked that all of his equipment was tight enough not to fall off from running, but he could take it out easily incase of an emergency. The exploding grenades caused him to stop, then another one, he stopped again. Being able to catch a glimpse of Luther and his troops still having most of their men available, Erdmann assumed the maneuver was a sucess. He made sure to approach openly, saying loud enouggh that the soldiers could hear, but not loud enough that possibly the soldiers in the factory could get any hearing of.
"Sanitäter!" he said, while putting his hand out to show the cross on his armband. The soldiers looked over to the corner, as Erdmann revealed himself. They were relieved, with their morale soaring even more than before. Now their casualties would be lowered considerable in terms of dead as Erdmann began to check all of the soldiers conditions, obviously noticing the soldier with a bullet in his abdomen after further, careful inspection. The solder with a cut above his eye was of low priority, that could be fixed rather easily. It would be better to ask one of Luther's men to help him out with the operation, but since they were rather tired from the battle, they would have to stay away from the wound so they could help out in a different way.
"Schutze! Bitte, kommen auf diese Weise. Erheben und seine linke Bein so kann es über seinem Herzen, es mir erlauben wird mit ihm zu arbeiten leichter," he said, pointing at Erwin Becker who nodded and laid down his weapon against a wall where he could grab for it incase of an ambush by the surviving Russian forces. Erwin took a hold of the injured soldier's leg (Hans) while Erdmann threw away his already used pair. Then, he brought out a new pair of sterilized gloves, putting them on carefully as he did earlier. Erdmann now looked through his medical bag, searching for the needed materials to do the job.
Erdmann moved the soldiers shirt upwards, so that it would be above his abodomen. The wound was in view, with not alot of blood at the moment. He came in just in time, he could prevent it from getting any worse. Immediately, a little pack of Sulfa powder, about five grams, was taken out of sterilized packaging that was inside the medical bag along with a morphine syringe. He slightly teared an opening so that he could spread the powder evenly throughout the wound. He then flicked the syringe incase there was airbubbles so that they would rise to the tip, then he would expel the air so the full amount of morphine shown on the syringe would be put into the patient. He would cut a bit of clothing with small scissors so he could see the injured soldiers thigh before he injected the morphine. Erdmann then took a clean, sterile cloth from the medical bag to do some light cleaning around the wound before putting pressure with the white side of a dressing. He would continue this so that the blood would clot to prevent alot of blood from coming out. Then, he would perform the same procedure he did with his first patient, having Erwin put pressure on the dressing, the sterile white side facing the wound while Erdmann wrapped two bandages around it. Then, he would wrap both ends of them on the outer part of the dressing, not directly above the wound. The knot allowed him to fit two fingers, which is what he needed.
"Er ist geschehen. Alle anderen, wenn sie leichte Verletzungen, nur einen kleinen schluck Wasser mit einem sulfa Tablette und es wird verhindert, dass Infektion. Wenn nötig, ich kann Verband zu senden Schädigung, wenn sie nicht," mentioned Erdmann. The gunfire may had subsided, but if there would need to be some haste. He had already wasted some time treating the wounded soldier, so Erdmann occasionally checked his condition. The soldier with a cut above his eye was being consoled by his fellow comrades, along by Erdmann, as he began to speak.
"Ich habe alle ihre Soldaten Bedingungen und sie sollten die Möglichkeit zur Zerstörung der Rest der kommunistischen abschaum, die in der Umgebung. Junge Soldat," now facing towards the man with a cut above his eye. "Laufen Sie nicht entfernt, eine einfache cut above the eye ist nichts. Actions:
- Erdmann was easily and successfully able to patch up the minor wound of the soldier that remained in the rear building.
- Catching up to Luther and his men Erdmann began working on the man that had been shot. Although he did everything as cleanly as possible he took a lot of time in doing so.
- N. Boryenko has mostly regained his compossure, he is still not 100% put he has gained his bearings in the passing time and has linked up with Eteric's troops in the main factory building.
- Hans' wound is still bleeding however and without further attention the man may begin to panic.

Nikolai made his way into the bottom floor of the factory when he heard and explosion. He climbed the stairs and said, "Russian, do not shoot!" He then took up his position next to the highest rank, he recognized her from earlier that month. "What has happened, comrade?" He said as he saw smoke coming from the alley way. He took the back of his sleeve and wiped his forehead with it. He then peeked out of the window with barely the side of his head. He then slid back behind the wall and spoke to his peer. "Who was that, in the alley way? Tell me!" He said sounding very anxious for he knew his only cousin was in this battle, but he didn't know where. He stared into the Mladshii Serzhant's eyes until she responded.
"If you was to put me and this here sniper rifle anywhere up to and including one mile of Adolf Hitler with a clear line of sight, pack your bags, fellas, war's over. Amen." - Private Daniel Jackson
Laya heard the explosions and gunfire in the alley, and her four troops did also. The scene going on in the alley was over in a matter of moments, and finally, one of her troops took a shot at them, but it only missed, and the Germans went deeper and out of the line of sight. And there was no more gunfire from the alley...that could only mean one thing: Aristarkh Boryenko and his troops had been annihilated. "Dear god...he..." she swallowed hard, completely sunk. The battle was an embarrassing loss, and everyone knew that by now. The most she could do was to retreat, and hopefully live to fight another day...of course, she wasn't going to leave without using at least one magazine from her rifle. She peeked over and aimed at the area she saw the machine gun, waiting for a burst of fire.
Finally, Yaroslav, Ivan, and Tima fired, quickly taking cover when the MG42 fired a salvo at them. Laya took aim, following the tracers up to the muzzle flash. She tensed and pulled the trigger once...twice...then another three times in quick succession. She quickly ducked down after that, knowing that she'd probably missed and that the MG crew would have taken aim by now. She waited for them to fire a salvo at her. After a few moments that seemed like minutes, she crawled over to the ladder to the inside balcony of the factory. "Laya!" called Tima. "What the hell can we do?!" Laya looked at her troops. "Retreat...is all we can do..." she said, clearly wishing it weren't true. "We would have a chance if Aristarkh and his troops were still alive, but they're not! Including Nikolai, we're only six people, and not very experienced..." she huffed, exasperated. "We cannot win this battle, and I hate to say that. But if we retreat now, we might live to win another battle later on..." None of them were happy in any way.
At the moment, a soldier came rushing up the rubble, towards Laya. "Russian, do not shoot!" he called, quickly taking position with Laya. It was the other Boryenko, Nikolai. "What has happened, comrade?" he asked. "Erm...well..." Nikolai glanced at the alley. "Who was that, in the alley way? Tell me!" Laya knew that he would be saddened and angered at the answer, but also knew there was no way to hide it, and spoke up. "I...I'm sorry, Nokolai, but...I think Aristarkh and all his troops are dead...we six are all that's left." She waited a few moments for that to sink in. "But we cannot stay here! We're outnumbered, outgunned...if we don't retreat, we'll die just as easily. All we can do is retreat to fight another day, Boryenko."
She glanced at her troops. "Come on..." she said, and they hurried down the pile of rubble. They quickly crawled out of a widow on the North side of the factory, waiting for the next order. "Hold on," said Laya, who peered around the corner. She aimed in the general area of Luther's troops, and emptied the rest of her magazine, hoping to hit one. She hid behind the wall again, reloading. After which, she motioned everyone to move. "Come on, then..." They quickly moved into more buildings, but Laya glanced back at the factory. "We will take it back..."
[If Nikolai did not move with them, he's still in the factory where there used to be blue troops.]

Actions:
- So long as no one objects to the map addition then it will remain, again, this is your battle, not mine.
- Laya shots managed to cause the German MG team to hug the closest bit of cover and only caused a minor inconvenience.
- The small bit of return fire from the Germans caused no damage other than the same cover seeking effect.
- I can't say how the still living Boryenko will react to the news, especially since it was given in a non confirmed manner. If Laya and her troops fully retreat, N. Boryenko will be allowed to stay if he wishes or retreat as well, it's his choice.
- The remaining Soviet soldiers with Laya are fearing the worst and Morale is somewhere near broken, remember this is Soviet home turf, morale may be low but it's still there
- The slackening of gunfire has helped to ever so slightly calm the nerves of the still living.
- N. Boreyenko has completely recovered from his near death experience, well as much as he is going to during this conflict that is. He is no longer disoriented and can effectively be a soldier once more, if he so chooses.

Defying all logic, one of the Soviets on the ground reached down towards his pockets, quickly and violently. Quickly, Luther’s MP40 swung down, quickly focusing on the head of the target and releasing a quick burst, and within half a moment all of the Soviets had German bullets within them. The loud explosion knocked a few people backwards, but with no major injuries the Germans had clearly won this phase of the attack.
Luther carefully stepped towards the corpse which had pulled a grenade on Luther, and he bent down, looking for rank insignia. He found it, something he vaguely recognised as Mladshii Serzhant, a Junior Sergeant. He did a quick sweep of the body with his eyes, and quickly relieved the corpse of its smoke grenade and fragmentation grenade – Luther was sure it wouldn’t mind. He called out, checking with his men. ”Tönen Sie, wer ist tot, wer wird verletzt?”
Unterscharführer Honecker reported that all of his men were okay, but Luther’s squad was slightly worse for wear. Beike and Miles were dead, Schtriffer was out of action with a large wound to his abdomen, Muller had a small injury in his left bicep, not major but maybe enough to affect his capability, and Stempf was bleeding from his left eyebrow. Overall, though, most of the German force was still combat effective.
Within a few moments, the Wehrmacht medic came sprinting around the corner, and quickly began dealing with Schtriffer. Luther thought quickly, trying to work out the next best thing to do. He was happy to leave the medic to do his thing, but he didn’t want to have to leave a healthy man behind. Becker was helping the medic, but that was a job Muller could easily enough do. ”Muller, übernehmen Sie von Becker. Jeder sonst, laden Sie um, bekommen Sie etwas Wasser in Ihnen, wir werden noch nicht beendet.”
First thing first, secure the flank before they could take the factory. Luther had seen some Soviets run north to where another building was, that would have to be checked and cleared first. ”Honecker, ich will, dass Sie zwei Männer nehmen und vorsichtig die linke Seite dieser Gebäude heranbringen, wir müssen sicherstellen, dass von uns nicht umfasst wird.” Using a few hand motions, Luther got his message across, and Honecker grabbed Becker and Fisher and began moving forward. Luther took Smitt and Schulz, heading up the opposite side.
They were not coming under fire from the factory, the Russians were either petrified or had left, which made the advance very comfortable for Frankfurter, who stopped about a metre away from the door, crouched down, and MP40 in shoulder, head cocked slightly listening inside the building. Without a doubt enemy soldiers were inside. He looked towards Luther who was in a very similar position, several metres away from destroyed section of the wall, and nodded, showing that he thought enemy soldiers were in the building. Luther swung his hand forward, and drew an upside-down open box in the air, indicating that Honecker’s point of entry was through the door.
Luther raised his fingers in a silent count-down, three, two, one.
As Luther’s last finger dropped, he sprung up from his crouched position, stepping forward and turning himself around the destroyed section of the wall, quickly taking in to account the three Soviet soldiers in the building. Luther was relying on the fact that because all the windows were boarded over, they would have no idea of the incoming attack and their hesitation, not only by Luther appearing but by Honecker stepping through the door would render any response useless. Quickly aiming at the closest Soviet, Luther squeezed the trigger, sweeping the weapon over all three Soviets. Honecker did the same, joining Luther in hosing down all occupants of the room. As soon as they were sure everybody was well and truly dead, the two German NCO’s stepped back in to the street, Luther indicating to return to the rest of the platoon.
They returned quickly, to see a few advances had been made. Muller and Stempf had bandaged each other, white bands around their arms and foreheads stopping the bleeding rather effectively. Dresner had moved up from the rear position, and moved excitedly towards Luther, speaking quickly. ”Sturmsharfuhrer, sie haben sich von der Fabrik zurückgezogen. Wir können steigen und es sichern!”
Luther allowed himself a roguish grin, and the rest of the German contingent smiled, but nobody was foolish enough to think the day was over. Nodding, Dresner turned and excused himself, quickly returning to the rear building. The rest of the German soldiers began preparing their weapons, and Luther moved to the medic whilst reloading his MP40.
He turned to the now prepared German soldiers, and nodded, satisfied at their performance. ”Guter Job, Soldaten, sind Sie würdige Mitglieder des SS. Wir müssen die Fabrik nehmen, und wir wollen keines Ihres arischen Bluts verlieren. Linienbildung, Becker nehmen Punkt.”
Luther settled in third in line and the single file of Germans advanced, moving quickly from cover to cover. Becker moved around the edge of the generator building, and carefully looked inside the warehouse, gingerly climbing over the rubble of the Eastern wall. Growing bolder with each step, he walked inside, the rest of the formation following with large intervals, about three metres between each man. Slowly, Luther became satisfied the building was empty as the soldiers spread out, taking positions on all three sides which had windows. The large front doors were kicked open, and Frankfurter was signalled.
Smiling, Frankfurter gave the order for the support element to advance, the MG42 was picked up, along with the remaining boxes of ammo, the sniper gingerly removed himself from his position, and Frankfurter carried the Panzershreck up to the factory, returning it to Luther as the MG42 took up a position on the right flank’s upper floor, the sniper climbing up on to the roof, the solitary figure on that floor as everybody else was on the lower balcony. He carefully took up a position laying prone near the edge of the roof, looking out over Stalingrad, ever careful of Soviet snipers or the contingent that had abandoned the factory only minutes ago.
