The Unnamed Plot Discussion Thread

Okayyy,
Thankfully I've been following this storyline, after "Surprisngly" being told Adelheid had been killed by Strumfelder, but Jonas had me in stitches when I knew Strum' wouldn't pull that kind of trick, god-modding.

In any case, I've tried my damned hardest to keep up with this plot and offer advise where I could, so you guys didn't hit any inconsistencies along the way and frankly I feel both Jonas and Adelheid may have dug themselves into a position where they wouldn't like to be.

Now, this used to be in the rules of the older version of this website and I quote:
"Never put your character into a situation where you don't wish them to be."

Now, when you think about it, that shouldn't be a rule, but common sense and you guys have free rein over the storylines you wish to persue. However, since this is involving three member's character's futures and perhaps storylines overall being tarnished, I would like to stress the fact - No one can do anything to your character, Without your permission.

The only reason I've stepped in slightly here, is because I'm noticing this thread slowly becoming inflamed between two members; Strumfelder and Jonas. You both have conflicting ideas for this storyline to undertake and you're both in "the wrong" as I would like to put it. Where both of your characters could be arrested over past circumstances regarding war crimes or the likes...

Now, remember, the pair of you can't do anything to one another without the concent and I would hate to see either of you go along with a depressing storyline you don't wish to be in. So either Jonas is branded a traitor and put under the heel of Strumfelder or vice-versa, you both have "dirt" on one another really.

So please try to sort this storyline out and Jonas, please don't cause an argument, however stressed you may be to get your point across - remember you are talking a staff member here.

Can I also add my views on the plot?

It seems a bit complicated to me...if it makes things less complicated, Stephen doesn't have to be in it, I see no real reason why he has to be...also, I am in a thread with Strum that will decide Joe's fate so when that is over, I'll be able to (from my character's point of view) to see where he stands...apart from that, I'm fine with it...I may have to read it through again tho...

PuNk!, thanks for stepping in again. I'm just going to say that, personally, I like how Strum's thinking. HOWEVER, that does put Jonas in a position where he could be labelled a traitor, so I propose something, although it might be against someone's character.

Let's just say that Strum and Jonas came across an agreement, since they have dirt on each other. In exchange for Adelheid's protection, Strum would be allowed to get information out of her. After this, she's going to be incredibly traumatized, so she won't be hard to crack. Jonas could protect her, but if my guesses about his character are correct, he'd try and find some place for her so that Strumfelder could ONLY get information out of her, and not try and do further harm. This could tie in with Heiko's idea about bringing her to his anti-Nazi family.

Thoughts? With Strum's manipulative character, I think it MIGHT be able to work.

Edit: Upon re-reading his post in this thread, I think that Strumfelder could possibly feign a threat. He could say I would be murdered, lure Joe further in, and show I am perfectly fine, then deal with Joe. Or, he could threaten Heiko's family and my safety, and once my leg is well enough for me to at least stand, I could try and run away. This last part sounds far-fetched, but in my opinion, it would be IC for Adelheid.

I sent an idea to Jonas, which would see you both on the run, and fleeing to Heiko's family. Here is the PM. It would mean that the plot focuses more around him trying to clear his name than anything else. Of course, I plan to make that as difficult as possible, within reason. What Danny has said is very true, and I understand if I've gone overkill slightly.

I'm not sure if you've read Danny's comments, but he does have a good point, that neither of us can forces actions upon one another. So that basically means we need to work out what we aree doing, and then role play it. I must admit I never though this small little thread would lead into what it has.

What I was thinking is that I arrest you, because you've actually given me ammunition, in that why did you not warn me before I shot Addie, if your story is true. Unless you dind't want her to speak, but didn't want to kill her yourself. Either way, you let vital infomation slip away because you wated me to look bad, but it has backfired.

Anyway, I'm guessing you want to stay a free man and retain command of your division which is entirely understandable. What I was going to propose is that my men arrest you, but then you and me have a thread at the Gestapo station, set the same day as Out in the Sun. I interigate you, and leave your cell, and then you escape, knocking out your guard and taking his weapon. You leave your cell and attempt to escape while I go bananas and try and find you. Ultimately you escape.

I have to leave to see Adelheid in hospital, and that is in yet another thread. You follow me there, and watch as I talk to her, telling her you are dead. She is in a priavte room on the ground floor, and you manage to rescue her through the window. You then flee to Bremen, and try to clear your name. We'll work out the rest from that point.

If this only happens over say a week, you shouldn't have any problems commanding your men. I'll cause you agro of course, but only to the extent you want. Strumfelder enjoy's hunts, so this could bve good for your character too.

How does that all sound to you?

As Addie puts it, that is indeed made of epic win. In all, as long as I get to clear my name I'll be fine with it . And sorry PuNk, wasn't trying to start an argument, I was grumpy this morning when I wrote that and trying to get out of the hole that I had dug myself in. Anyways, yeah I'm fine with that plot line.

I think we should definitely plan out towards the end of the plot now as to not have something like this rise up again. Like for instance, how am I going to clear my name? Escaping out of Gestapo prisoner isn't that good of a thing... so we need to work out how I am going to clear my name.

Well, to clear your name, you could find evidence that Strumfelder's been working his own agenda into the Nazis'. Perhaps you could find some dirt on Strumfelder? Shooting Adelheid is one thing against him, but then you might not be so lucky, either, because people will ask why it happened under your watch.

Perhaps you could somehow blackmail someone into revealing dirt on Strumfelder? You could somehow get an investigation on him...

Well, again that would really be the same thing that is happening right nowish and we would just postpone it to a later date. I don't think Strum would like the dirt on him very much though.

Well, another way you could clear your name was get your unit to back you up. Surely Heiko and the other soldiers loyal to you would vouch for you...?

I was thinking maybe a series of raids could take place, while me and my men try and hunt you down. Three raids in fact. In one of the raids for instance, Heiko's mother or father cut get killed as the Kripo and SS untis move into their home. However, you escape. In the second raid, how about you are on a train trying to put distance between me and yourselves a few hours after the first raid. The train stops at a station and we search the train. Again, you escape.

Finally, you Jonas contact some of your men and request their help. You meet them in a disused warehouse, but I make my final raid. After a long shootout with the Kripo, my men are wiped out and I flee; such a defeat is a great humiliation. However, I vow revenge...

So the plot would come to an end, and Strumfelder clears away any files because he doesn't want people to know what a defeat has happened. It also leaves it open for another plot later on...

Ideas?

Hmmmmm...well, Heiko might not like his characters being killed, but Adelheid would be given an excuse to escape. You'll have to clear it with him first. Also, Jonas might like it, but we must take into mind the inconsistencies - if they're battles, what if someone important is shot and injured? The mod-markers may know of the plot, but that means squat when they have to mod someone's wounds or not.

Heiko's part of a very well established family in Bremen and the local authorities might look the other way when it comes to them and Strum could make some powerful enemies should he try something funny. The Hamburg Wehrkreis commander might not take so kindly to having distant relatives killed by a upstart SS doctor who was chasing someone he had a bad feeling about. A man with thousands of men with guns at his fingertips is not a man to be crossed.

You can shoot your way through the lower class all you want but as soon as you start killing prominent Germans you may realize that your pistol can only get you so far before your asshatery generosity is reciprocated.

You make a valid point, Heiko, that also could be used as a plot point. To keep your NPCs alive, Heiko, we can say the raid fails thanks to your namesake character or something, and that in turn can lead to Jonas getting off the hook. This could work because one could argue Strum was a real threat to Jonas, and then, we could have Strum disposing of the incriminating files somehow, which ties back into Strum's plan.
