Crikey thats soooooo tough . But my favourite has to be ................... BAND OF BROTHERS ^__^. Its just made to keep you glued to the screen. The theme music is just fantastic, it switches between characters so that you don't get bored of the same person, and its a true story.

Well, enemy at the gates, and schindler's list.....because ::: The Fiennes are hotter than Bundt Cake from an oven! MMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Haha. And other than that, they're pretty accurate =3 Though, I lacked attention skills during some of the scenes...teehehehehe...

This isn't exactly a WWI movie, more of the Vietnam War era, but I figured I could still throw it up anyway.
'We Were Soldiers', with Mel Gibson, would have to be my favourite war movie, although granted I haven't seen all too many.
I like it because it is incredibaly realistic, it rivets you to the screen, has AWESOME special effects and its got one of the best pre-battle speeches I've heard. One of...

Gonna have to side with Colly on this one, got to be Saving Private Ryan, hands down. The plot is very touching, but if any of you have seen combat you and I both know it is ridiculous, no one would volunteer for that kind of assignment, but there in lies the beauty of it all. The US Government does things like that to save a little face, I've seen it time and time again, too many bureaucrats sticking there nose in a place it doesn't belong and making a mess, then telling the soldiers to fix it. Any way, enough venting, GREAT MOVIE!!

My favorite WW2 movie is probable A Bridge To Far. I'm fascinated by operation market garden and well.... it's just a good film.
Though it's not a world war two movie my favorite war movie is Zulu it to is a fascinating battle and it shows a load of brave Welsh soldiers winning the most Victoria Crosses in one battle than in any other battle.

Nope. For me a Bridge too Far. An all star cast, a true story, and it shows how tough we Brits are. Six hundred Red Devils verses an entire SS division commanded by the mastermind of Operation Mercury.

Nobody here ever heard of "Stalingrad"? This is a war movie from Germany, made in the early 90's. For me it's the best movie I have ever seen about the war. It's that realistic, it makes you shiver.
I also like Band of Brothers a lot, but some scenes are quite confusing to me.
Best example is the American ambush on Foy (think it was episode nr.7 wasn't it?). Have you ever realised the crew of the German Stug III? Some American soldiers are shooting at them with just rifles. The StugIII is not damaged at all. And the German tank crew? They get panic, jump out of the Stug III () and let themselves get shot into their backs. OK.
Or have you ever realised that the Americans are hitting every target. At least every secound shot is good. And the Germans? They are just too stupid to aim and if they hit something at all, it's probably an ass.
Please don't get me wrong. I really like the optic of the movie and I find it to be a good one at all. It's just that some things are quite disputable.
