Name: Diederick Friederichs
Nationality:German, Austria
What Army will Your Character Serve Beneath?
Nazi/German Army
Character History:
Diederick was born in the Fatherland some years before World War I broke out. He watched his dad go off to war and die serving his country. He felt appalled by the Kaiser’s wiliness to give up to the scumbag Brits and Americas. His loyalty to the Kaiser decreased after the treaty of Versailles.
A couple years later, Diederick was walking down the street in Berlin and saw a man standing on a podium speaking to a group of people. He was unable to hear what the man was speaking about but was interested in the group of people listening to him. He recognized the face when he traveled closer. He had seen the man face on posters around the city. He did not know much about his message but listened in to find out more. When the man on the podium spoke, it caused Diederick to want to take up arms and take out the Brits and American single-handed.
After his speech, Diederick went to the man to intruded himself and tell him how much his message so true and give his support to his cause. Months went by and Diederick and Adolf became good friends and now he felt like father figure to Diederick. After the National Socialist German Workers' Party was formed, Diederick did anything Hitler asked him to do, from taking care of competitors to scouting out people’s location. Over the months, Diederick became very good at doing his special missions for his friend Hitler. When Hitler invaded Poland to claim more land for the Fatherland, Diederick felt like he needed to serve his country like his father did.
Military Rank: You pick!
Writing Sample:
You’re alone behind enemy lines and you get the eerie feeling someone’s watching you. You’re trying to remain quiet, stay low, work your way back to the frontlines - but you can’t help but feel you’re being followed by the Americas. Diederick reaches for his Mauser rifle and brings the scope up to peer over the ditch he is stuck in, afraid of America’s sniping him if he moved an inch. It was early evening and he was trained to move at night if by yourself. He looked over the edge of the ditch to see if he was being watched. He had been told by his superiors that the America’s was blood sucking monsters, and that scared him even more. Diederick checked his side pocket for his map but his pocket was empty and he cursed at himself because of it. He thought of just making a break for it, but not knowing where he was and which direction was what, he decided to stay where he was and wait till night. Hours passed and then it became so dark that Diederick could not see his hand in front of him so he decided to wait longer to see if the moon would light his way home. During his wait, Diederick fell to sleep and was woken by a horrible noise that sounded like a train running him over. “Over Here! Seine Diederick, in den Straßengraben” said his friend Frank. It turned out that Diederick was only a mile from his base but if he would of ran toward his base he would have been shot dead on the spot.
