Yeah sure, I'm trying to do the threads with Kyle in some sort of chronological order so it makes sense, but Mac Bargett is taking his time replying to our thread we have together, so I may have to jump ahead a little to keep the role play flowing on the storyline I'm creating - or time lapse it of sorts, but I would like to keep this storyline moving forwards in a series of events. Trying not to make it complicated with back and forth scenarios!

But most definitely if you're interested in getting involved, please do. I'm trying to make it an em-cumbersome storyline that gets a lot of people involved and could cause spin-off plots for people's characters as well on their own storyline arc.

You're more than welcome to get involved as well. Like I've said previously, the storyline isn't "properly" fleshed out, but I have a general direction I'd like the storyline to go in; depending on how many people want to get involved, I'll be making a storyline-tree thread that maps out each thread during the series of events that occur. Much like a tv-series episode list so to speak, so people can read in order how the storyline flows...

Figured it would make sense to make something of that sort to keep track of how things go, because I assume there's going to be several people who would like to get involved with the development of the storyline and reading each thread would be crucial to keeping up to date with how it's flowing as well.

If you'd like to get your character involved, welcome too. We can discuss it more, along with Hautt too.

Kitty! Yeah sure, we can have a thread with Liam and Stephen - I have high plans for Liam, some of which may completely change his character... This could heavily involve Stephen... I'm not completely sure how yet, but I have no doubt Stephen could get heavily involved, considering he was present during the period Edward McMillan deflected to the Nazis and Liam held Stephen over the hot coals for a while over it.

Although, part of me is looking for a different storyline with Stephen, something we could discuss together perhaps?

Yeah most definitely! It's been a long time since we role played together and we didn't really get our previous thread/s off the ground in the past properly. We could certainly see about developing a relationship between the two of them if you'd like? Sounds like a plan!

As much as I love my nurse, I feel as though she needs to be revamped a bit. In any case she needs more character development as a character and individual. So far she is the easiest to get into character by far for me. I have a few RPs going on with Punk, James and Mac, so as for character development....I just want her to grow as a person. So far she has this, lets say vision about what war is and dare I say she romanticizes it a little. I want to break her. I want her to become withdrawn at some point have a roller coaster of emotions as she tries to deal with how she copes with her experiences.

Also---I would love to have an RP with her stuck behind enemy lines. That would be an awesome thread to do.

I donno what to do with her quite yet...besides Liesl, she is kinda one of the hardest OCs to portray after being away from IO for some time.

I----really don't know what to do with her yet. If we ever do the Pacific side of WW2 I would have some use...but, it'll be a challenge giving her a reason to be where she is or at least fixing the mess of information about the OC.

Just a small thing...Again, as I've stated in another post, I also want Victoria to go searching for her Missing In Action Brother at some point in an RP. Which was one of the main reasons why she enlisted. Another thing I will add...I'll only RP as Raushan only upon request. I donno if I can bounce back as her atm...but yeah, if anyone wants to do an RP with her...just ask, I won't be doing any open RP threads as her any time soon.

1. Aaron at this point is still fighting on the French Partisan side. Perhaps he can get into some kind of sticky situation once more to really bring forth more character development. After all he is a German-Jew with very strong Jewish features so this can definately be a triple whammy for some potential plots.

2. With Toby I do know the he and Stephen have romance going on (forbidden romance). But I do want this man to get out into the air and partake in battles. I try to skirt around this because of my lack of confidence in being effective but hey won't know until I try. Maybe hopefully he would score a victory and usher in some kind of promotion or new youngins to mentor.

3. Genevive is such a wild card that needs plots. She is a very able field nurse would would probably do her best in patching up bulletholes but she do need to get aclaimated with a company; so hopefully this can definately be done in the future.

4. With Hanna I have zero idea where to really take her and I may have to let her go sadly.

5. With Libella she is a Soviet spy... I would like to prehaps pick back up with her being sent back off to Germany to seemingly work under the Nazi regime as a probable secretary under the Gestapo headquarters in Berlin. This could open up more plots.

Yeah this is all I have for my characters and whatnot. Nothing too special other than more plots in the future.

Upon rereading Tobias's app I was reminded that he has an older brother named Silas Wyn who probably enlisted after he ran away from the home. Both he and Toby would be estranged but that would be an good plot for Toby to get into eventually.

They usually worked in even larger formations than Americans, often sending entire companies or battalions, but they were less restrictive with who did what. Gotta remember that the Eastern Front was messy. None of the neat orderly crap in the West. If an infantryman reported enemy vehicles, they'd throw whatever they wanted at it, whether a battalion or a single tank, based on the overall plan. As for battling, you could always throw in some tank riders for any given scenario to beef up your command. It was incredibly common.

Heiko himself might be able to do something with Ernst. He's kind of similar in his anti-Nazi stance, though it is more to do with his system of beliefs (static) than any wrongs done to him (reactionary). Also might get a chance to use D'Alisa, since Ernst was in both North Africa and Italy. Hautt is always ready to retry the stab-stab thread. I still have that post saved somewhere wink wink. Muahahaha!

You ever battle? I've been thinking that a meeting between Stephen and either Ernst or Hautt could be interesting. Ernst is basically me, enjoying enlightening discussions about life and philosophy, while Hautt is a constipated me with brass testicles, liking to beat people into the dirt for a sideways glance.

Depends on what you want to do, both in regards to battles and neutrals and overall scope. The FJ fought everywhere, while the SS didn't get used as much in Italy and didn't see North Africa at all. The SS had the benefit of great equipment and sufficient transportation, both trucks and halftracks, while the FJ had to walk. The FJ got to do cool stuff like airlanding or paradrops, but this was only occasional after 1943, while the SS were doing their thing the entire war.

If you're looking for good character intrigue, the SS is guaranteed to give you conflict. If you want interesting and diverse combat, the FJ are what I'd choose. They were both elite, but the FJ had a tougher job while dropping or airlanding. If you're interested in being in the same unit, my FJ guys are from the III.Battalion of the 5th FJ Regiment, 3rd FJ Division. Read a little about Walter Koch, Hermann-Bernhard Ramcke, and Friedrich August Freiherr von der Heydte.

You've got the ingredients for a rich storyline and a lot of character revelations. She romanticizes war. Her brother is lost somewhere in the war. Here's an idea that would be perfect for the Ardennes in late '44. She's behind enemy lines near the front. Hautt comes along and does his thing in an experience that gradually opens her eyes to the horrors of war. This impacts her profoundly. 'Her brother is out there... these things could have happened to him', etc. Far from helping her, she learns things she'd rather forget. It would give her a determination to find her brother and launch follow-up threads. That's my two cents anyhow.

After reading those biography's, I think I'm gonna have Stemmler join the Fallschirmjaeger. I've always liked parachuting, and I think this would provide a significant challenge for him.

Edit: Why not the 1st Fallschirmjaeger division? It's been in way more fronts then the third has?

Actually, that sounds like a good plan for Victoria. I wouldn't mind RPing her under those circumstances. As long as there is room to develop her as a character I don't see why we can't do this lolz. Also...I know you have a Japanese character too, we should do an RP at some point or talk over PM and collaborate on some ideas. How does that sound?

It wasn't uncommon for US pilots to fly in both the European and Pacific theaters, so I guess Chuck could show up.

Nope. The 1st FJD only fought in Sicily and Italy, while the 3rd fought in Normandy, the Ardennes, and the Ruhr. I think you're referring to the 7th Flieger Division which was originally the only Luftwaffe parachute division.

It had five regiments when it was broken up in 1943 to form three new divisions. A new organization of three regiments each was decided on, and four new regiments were raised for a total of nine. The 1st Division got three of the five veteran regiments, while the 2nd and 3rd Divisions each got one veteran and two green regiments.

In other words, regiments 1 through 5 were in the same unit before 1943.

Anyhoo, yeah. Why don't we just invent our own unit as Heiko suggests?

I'm starting to see new possibilities for battle design. Instead of being stuck with your command for better or worse, you could be able to bring your unit plus some support from the brigade. We could come up with a slight replacement schedule or system if we wanted. It would throw in a bit of a strategic variable and keep things interesting and real while not requiring a lot of effort to keep up with.
