Here is our very simple application. There are five elements:
Character Name: Self explanatory
Allegiance: If any. Army medical staff may serve under any of the six armies currently available (American, British, and Soviet for the Allies; German, Italian, and Japanese for the Axis)
Requested Rank: Applicable only to army medical staff, Also self explanatory. Ranks that can be requested can be found on this board. Note that for higher ranks, we will expect a higher standard of writing.
History: Write a brief history of your character here. We don't need a play-by-play of his/her entire life, just some defining moments to get a sense of your character.
Writing Sample: This is the single more important part of your application. Please create a nice in-character sample of your writing. There is no particular scene to be created, most players choose to craft an exciting scenario to illustrate how their character would behave on the battlefield; how they think, how they feel, how they handle stress. Some others choose to craft a scene based around a defining moment in the characters past that may not otherwise be brought up in a thread. The choice is yours; make it count.
While there is no specific length that would guarantee a rank, we do ask that each writing section be at least two to three paragraphs as that is the standard length of role-play posts here.
Copy and paste the following into a new thread with the subject being your character's name.
