Here is our very simple application. There are five elements:
Character Name: Self explanatory
Allegiance: What nation will your character fight for? At current, the available Allied armies are the American, the British, and the Soviet Armies. Note, however, that your character does not necessarily have to be from any of those three nations, they will merely be fighting under their flags.
Requested Rank: Also self explanatory. Ranks that can be requested can be found here: American, British, Soviet. Note that for higher ranks, we will expect a higher standard of writing.
For new characters only Sergeant and lower will be given to enlisted characters, and lieutenant to commissioned characters. Earn higher ranks later through your roleplay.
History: Write a brief history of your character here. We don't need a play-by-play of his/her entire life, just some defining moments to get a sense of your character.
Writing Sample: This is the single more important part of your application. Please create a nice in-character sample of your writing. There is no particular scene to be created, most players choose to craft an exciting scenario to illustrate how their character would behave on the battlefield; how they think, how they feel, how they handle stress. Some others choose to craft a scene based around a defining moment in the characters past that may not otherwise be brought up in a thread. The choice is yours; make it count.
While there is no specific length that would guarantee a rank, we do ask that each writing section be at least two to three paragraphs as that is the standard length of role-play posts here.
Copy and paste the following into a new thread with the subject being your character's name.
