Been planning a new structure for the board that makes things a little more organized and thoughtful. I want information at the top for potential new players, followed by the most commonly used boards in descending order.
This is a test site we set up a while back to test new layouts. I'm still playing with things and I haven't worked in my newest ideas yet as I haven't been near my computer yet today.
That... That looks familiar Biggest thing that I think needs including is a C-Box right back up at the top, but I'm not sure if that can be done with the new layout style?
Under My Command: 5x Supermarine Spitfires/2x Armstrong Whitworth Albemarle/2x Curtiss P-40E Warhawk
So plug it in! I like it so far. I can provide some links to good articles, get permission from the writers to post, or just write my own. I've been studying the Tiger and heavy tank battalions for months. There's SO much technical information that's needed to roleplay a Tiger commander. What amuunition does what on what? What quantity of the variious types were available? Where are they stored? Where are they loaded? How much ammo did the MGs carry for both co-ax and hull MG? Where were they stored? What procedures were used within the tank?This barely scratches the surface.
There are just LOADS of resources to help the rp-er at what he wants to do, but doesn't know how to.
I've begun some visual changes to site, some more obvious (Cbox on the side) and some less obvious (changing the color of some text). I'll continue working on the visuals over the coming days.
And some of you may have already noticed that i've moved some boards around. This is one of the biggest thinks I want to work in. Over the years the site has become pretty bloated with boards and categories, so I'm in the process of consolidating and organizing them in a more easily navigable setup.
Here's my ultimate goal for the set-up:
Category -Board (Visible on Front Page) ++Sub-Board (Not Visible)
Information -Beginner's Guide -Game Information ++WWII Information -Archives
Discussion -Chat -Game Discussion/Suggestions
Neutral RP -Set-Up Threads -Allied Area ++ -Axis ++ -(?)Disupted/Neutral Territory
Battle RP -Set-Up Threads -Western Front ++France/Low Countries ++Scandinavia ++Western Germany ++British Isles -Eastern Front ++Western Russia ++Western Soviet States ++Baltic States ++Central Europe ++Balkans ++Eastern Germany/Poland -Mediterranean Front ++North Africa ++Middle East ++Med. Islands ++Italian Mainland ++Southern Germany/Austria -Pacific Theater ++Pacific Islands (US) ++South-East Asia/Australia (Britain/(?)France) ++Manchuria/Siberia/Korea (USSR) ++China (US/Britain/USSR/(?)China) ++Japanese Home Islands
Character Area -Applications -Character Info/Profiles ++Journals ++(?)Skills -Units/Rosters ++Individual Boards for Each Unit

I noticed the addition of the Pacific, among other things. New nations, new fighting. New shop entries! Maybe the addition of naval units? Bwaha. Melike.

I can also help out with some graphics. I just need a color story, and I can make time in between homework to do it. And Thanksgiving break is coming up for me so I'll have no problem helping out.

How does black and white with highlights of color sound? Just as an example, the unit board could be that same pictures but with one of the soldiers highlighted in a color, like green/blue for allies and red/maroon for axis.

Hmmm...sounds simple enough I'll play around with it and see what I'll get = w =
