If anyone still has an interest in the concept, please continue to read.
I think the only way to really bring back this site, or style of roleplay is to start new. How do we do that, move on to a new era. I hate to say it, but it's a must. Not a lot of people are into the World War 2 Era anymore, and it seriously breaks my heart. This site however was the top of my list, when it came to free writing. I would love to see it come back at some point, and I hope you guys do.
So if anyone is still out there and willing to give this a shot, feel free to post below.

This got my full support and all and if you want to keep it same style, you know war kinda thing I'm not sure which time you want to change it too... Present has a low member base, future the same and napoleonic even smaller... But since I like the writing style on here I'm willing to try and help?
It breaks my heart to see this site go - I must have been 14 or 15 when I first found it, and I'm 20 now. But by all means, make your new one. I'll see if there's anything I can do to make a link obvious on here, to direct some members who stumble back.

Same with me, as I was also pretty young when I found this site. Also were not really abandoning the site, were mearly just starting fresh. My intentions is to help draw back people into this era, by promoting something similar.
I support this idea, starting another rpg to draw new people here. Although to get this place active again we should fix the sire's format so it doesn't clash with the new proboards. And it wouldn't hurt to get the cbox active again, if it seems empty someone who wants to write might get distracted and drift away from the site.
And for the setting of a potential new site, perhaps cold war/secret agents. Kids these days are busy with their Black Ops and spy cartoons. And we could jump on that bandwagon.

I would suggest trying to fix up this forum first, having worked with making a site in the new proboards system I can honestly say it will be extremely easy the only difficult part being your guys shop system everything else is a walk in the park..

Well there is an EASY alternative to the shop, but it may be a little weird.

This site just needs a little fixing here and there and she'll be as good as new~ I'd really hate to see I.O go...;___; I really feel like this place has helped me improve my writing.

Well then I think we've come to a consensus, were not leaving this place. However, Advertising is a must at this point. I'm willing to do whatever needed to get this site going, whether it's provinding graphical or structual help, or just simple advertising. I just wanna see this site thrive again...

I'm open and willing to go with any of the above ideas, really.
Like others have said, I found the site when I was fairly young and sucked at writing. Now, I'm older and a significantly better writer. Much of that due to my activities RPing on this forum. So long story short, IO and its inhabitants have always had a special place in my heart. From spending every New-Year's Eve since I joined on the site, to chat-box shenanigans I... I...
Pardon me while I go cry in a corner as I'm swamped by a wave of feels.

Despite we're only being a handful of players I think it's great to see that we would hate if IO disappeared and if you need any help I'll also gladly offer it
