Just making this for a place to post everything that I've been up to, since I always seem to miss everyone in the cbox.
I've been living in Cincinnati for the past 100+ days, working with my recruiter, taking the first steps towards earning the title of United States Marine.
I went to PT yesterday. The details are as follows:
Chatted with some Poolees for a while. Then went to a nearby park, did stretches, and hydrated.
Next we did 10 laps on a 60-yard circuit down a ramp, across a parking lot, and up 20 stairs. This sucked major bawls as I'm by far the worst runner of the 22 guys who attended.
Then the wonderfully innovative Gunnery Sergeant from the Colerain Avenue recruiting office had the idea of making it Colerain Avenue versus Harrison Avenue (my branch). We were two guys short so we borrowed two from Colerain. We luckily got my buddy Jefferson, who is small, muscly, and incredibly fast.
To start the competition off, we went out to the side of the park field, which was about 40 yards wide. We had to work as a team. Start as a team, finish as a team. First off was 20 Marine pushups, which are 4-count down-up-down-up. 40 regular pushups basically.
Then we ran the 40 yards to the other side of the field, already behind. Then back to the other side. And again. And again.
Then we were told to do Star Jumps.
20 of those lovely things.
Then with a "MOVE FASTER. MOVE FASTER... RIGHT NOW," we were told to do a bear crawl across the field. We managed to catch up to the Colerain ave. branch.
However next we were ordered to do Dive Bombers. The magical number of the day... 20.
Good stuff. Easier than what was next, though we were behind again. We could see what was next but it didn't make it easier to hear it.
"Low crawl across that field. RIGHT NOW." We get down on our nasties and start crawling. "KEEP YOUR HIPS DOWN, GERDE!" and the occasional "OFF YOUR KNEES! You're not BABIES!"
Gosh. Right through the mud pit in the middle from the cold rain the previous day. Fun. Fun. Fun.
"Ururgrgh. URggahagaaaAAAAGH!" Hah.* Hah.* Hah.* "RUGUghHR!"
Alright. At least it's warming up, and the mud isn't all that bad.
Okay. Now we get to do Mayweather Sit up-Stand ups. 20 of course with a partner of similar size and/or weight.

Then a lovely crawl back across the field.
"RAawrghrgh." Hah* Hah* Hah* "aaaaAAaAurUuGh! AAAAGH FUUUUUUUGGGGGGG!!!"
^most accurate description of what we sounded like. We were still behind, but did the crawl much faster than the others.
20 8-count Body Builders were next. These = not so bad as they looked, though it might've been because we were numb by then.
Do a fireman's carry with out partner across the field, 20 Star Jumps, then switch.
Then we got to do Star Jumps back across the field, which sucked.
And finish it off with a nice mile run.
