No. of Players (Allied/Axis): Ideal for small 1 vs 1 games, but it could also do a small 2 vs 2.
Introductory Posts (Neutral/Hostile): Neutral
Location (Board and Sub-Board): Africa, generic oasis/hamlet
Time of Day (24 Hour Clock): 16:00hrs
Current Weather Conditions: Baking hot, clear.
Map:
Units
Allied
Normal Units (Private and Corporal NPC’s): <6
Special Units (All other NPC’s): <1
Light Vehicles: no
Armoured Vehicles: no
Planes: no
Axis
Normal Units (Private and Corporal NPC’s): <6
Special Units (All other NPC’s): <1
Light Vehicles: no
Armoured Vehicles: no
Planes: no
Estimated Difficulty (Beginner, Normal, Veteran, Expert): Beginner.
Notes:
Two weary patrols converge on the same watering hole and bump into one another. Scuffle ensues.
Next to the troop numbers, < is supposed to mean "equal to or less than".
The map is designed to be played Left and Right, not top and bottom. I tried to make the cover even.
The brown squiggly lines in opposite corners are Sand Dunes standing roughly the height of a man. Beneath the lower building, bottom right, is a pile of boulders that are probably a little taller than a man. At least, that was my intention, mods can do what they want
The buildings are obviously taller than a man and if someone got on the roof would probably be visible to, and see over, the sand dunes unless people were prone on the opposite face.
In the centre there is the oasis...there are supposed to be two trees at opposite ends of it in vaguely circular shapes.
In the top left is a pen for livestock, the fence will not confer much cover but there is a metal trough (the grey rectangle) that might offer a little protection.
I hope this seems as balanced as I intended it to be, and that someone else is itching for a fight and doesn't mind having a noob along! I've designed this scenario as a smallscale to allow experienced players to hand-hold newbies. Like me
