No. Plus, Sergeant NPCs getting SMGs doesn't make them incredibly strong. If the unit dies, the weapon goes with it...
Plus, Members using MGs or SMGs rather, will be mod marked more accurately. NPCs serve a purpose of "filling in the gap" when leading men. They provide a higher morale boost, the men trust their expierence and judgement, plus, this SMG addition doesn't make them incredibly stronger... In all regard. They're still more likely to die.
Remember, all NPC units die without warning. If it's seen they're in a deadly situation, they will be killed. Member units gain a small warning from their mod marker, where they in tow gain the ability to gamble or try to retreat...
So I wouldn't big up NPC NCOs and their new weaponry too much. Nothing major. And no, Member Sergeants upwards don't get an SMG. ~Danny

Skimming thru threads, this one needs updating or scrapping. I don't think this thread would apply to the new units you have added, so it would be best to scrap it before it confuses someone. Edit it even.
