I kind of agree with the above. :/
You've been here for all of like 2 days? You should stick around longer or let someone with long experience here deal with an ad video as to personalize it and make it a better ad for our site.
Not sure if we are in a need for an ad video or much advertisement, but a little advertising never hurt so it still helps the site.

I hate to imagine the copyright implications on all of the footage and photos. o.O
First of all, there is a lot of wasted space in the middle that to me appears as a bit of a waste of time, and when the end finally comes, it seems to tangent completely from the rest of the video into a pitch for the site.
I like the idea of a video for the site though. Right now most newcomers get here through word of mouth or they just happen to stumble upon the site. I think that I might make an attempt at something for the site's promotion. I think it is a good idea to be working to attract new members.

Well, considerng the fact that it took a new person to the site to actually COMMIT to the idea of making a video, and taking the time out of his/her day to actually do it, it cant really be all that bad.
Along with that, Owen, if you took the time to read the video description, you would see I clearly give THQ, and Relic, the rights to the video i took.
And, to you wondering how long i have been here, i have actually been here less then a day.
But, all in all, considering the fact that only three people posted a comment on said video, and only two were negative, i think i am doing pretty well.
And in my defense Hobbar, you're account only says you joined in july (correct me if im wrong, you may have another account.), you cant really agree with what you agreed with, because you are also a newb to the site. And no, it is not very laggy, the quality is reduced every time you upload it, from fraps, to inserting it into WMM, To Youtube, it reduces the speed, along with the quality, of the video.

I am new, I'm not trying to make a video though, I'm just stating my opinion. I do have to apologize, i have gotten off as a bit of a jerk. And for that I am sorry.
On my computer the video was very laggy, just saying.

To be honest, I don't see much negativity in my post. I was simply stating you should gather more experience and knowledge of the site before running headfirst into an ad video. I think for a proper IO ad to be done it should be taken in steps and done collaboratively in order to make it a really good ad that attracts crowds.
But that was all I was saying. Sorry if it came off harsher. It was just negative criticism and we understand you will be defensive of your work that you contributed time and effort to make, but as I said in the cbox you don't need to respond so harsh to it. This is simply my opinion, but I must thank you as you have been the only person to go out of their way to make an ad video so far. So that deserves some congratulations. Again, sorry if I offended.
I also have to apologize for coming off like such a jerk, i don't take well to negative critasism, although i ask for it, because i have heard nothing but good remarks on many of my videos.
(That coupled with the fact its 3 am, and i read things extremely fast and im iritable late at night. )
I also have to admit, that i should of waited before i jumped into the video. As a vet. to RPing, i have seen so many RPing sites that act just the same way as every other site, and for once i see something that is different, and thats good, i like different(i think.)

It's understandable. Hopefully, this might inspire us to create a video that can be done by the community. So I'd advise anyone who is thinking about venturing off to do a video to maybe post a thread where we can put up our ideas for it.
I myself have an idea for one that could serve as both an instructional and advertisement video. Perhaps someone could lend their voice to serve as a Captain or so giving a briefing in a WW2 like feel which could brief the people to be advertised/new members in the ways of battling, neutrals, etc. This would be a great help in pulling people in by actually explaining what IO is and does as well as providing extra and easier to access info for new people.
However, we could always do a teaser like trailer as well just to look pretty and advertise the site as well.
