Well glad to see you are taking the step to better yourself and the Allied forces. This one will hopefully be short and sweet as well seeing as how it is the lesser of the two marksman certifications. It will mainly be technical in nature, don't really see a point in asking how to shoot someone, that is rather obvious, or is it? That is not your first question by the way, just a slight attempt at humor. Anyway, let's get down to it. Once you have read this, please post so that I am aware of when your time starts. You will have 48 hours to complete this test. Here are your questions:
#1 - What is the top priority of a marksman? #2 - What is the term for aiming in the direction of movement of a moving target? #3 - Who invented the Ghillie suit? #4 - What do the two knobs on the exterior of a scope adjust? (be specific) #5 - (This is set by the US military, sorry don't know the UK standards) What is the maximum time alloted for a sniper to move ten feet? (Must come within 25%) #6 - For the final question. How far will a 7.62 NATO (.308 Winchester) round drop when fired at a distance of 1,000 yds. (3,000 ft. & about 950 meters) You must come within 50% of the correct answer to get this question right, seems like a large margin doesn't it? But I am not trying to make this too difficult.
Well, I've got most of the answers although I doubt Ive passed. My problem is, I know almost nothing about guns...or anything really...
1. A marksman’s top priority is to guarantee the safety of his comrades. He is the first obstacle the opposition will face and must take down as many of the foe as possible before they get in range of his companions. A marksman should make a point to aim significantly towards enemy officers so as to cause as much unrest amongst the enemy troops as possible.
2.I hate myself for it, but I just could not answer this question.
3.The Ghillie suit was invented by Scottish gamekeepers prior to the second Bouer War as an extremely effective hunting blind.
4. The knobs control range estimation and trajectory correction. Sorry I couldn’t be more specific.
5.A total guess, I’m afraid. Roughly 20 minutes, I’d imagine.

I honest to God hate to do this man, I really do. You did not pass this attempt at this certification. Of the six questions, you got one of them right, the question about the Ghillie suit. I will however refund a percentage of your CP for the attempt, not too much due to the fact that you didn't even attempt one of the questions, but I will return a small portion.
Not to sound mean or anything, but maybe consider going for a radio operator, we don't have any and I think some COs might want one

I have to agree; If you became a Radio Operator within my Division, you'd be a more higher valued asset to the field.
Not just WHEN/IF you join my thread, but overall, in your own thread for instance; heck, you could be pinned down by a number of Germans and after (several posts) you can call in some Artillery to weaken the Germans.
So it's a very good Cert to have... ~Danny
