Well after creating a nice scenario I realized that this was for the lowest of the CO certs and not the middle one, so I scrapped the map and made the questions a bit more difficult. You will have four days to complete this test and must pass with a 75% accuracy or higher rating to achieve your certification. Take your time and as always post once you have read this post in it’s entirety so that I will know when the time starts.

1. – What are the two most important things on the field of battle to a commander?
2. – What is the importance of a point man? Why?
3. – You are over seeing the placement of a line of foxholes to counter an upcoming enemy advance of infantry in a wooded area, without needing to go into too much detail as this could be a very long answer, describe the pattern you would place them in and why.
4. – Pertaining to the above question, how would you select the fields of fire for your men to observe?
5. – Your men are to cross a known minefield in a grassless plain that has been cleared by men that you have no experience with, they used a few trucks to accomplish this task, driving back and forth over the area, sweeping and clearing to the best of their abilities, also using a few out dated plows. You learn that a few of them died in the process so you are fully aware that the area is mined, none the less you must cross, how would you go about doing so?
6. – You have a soldier under your command that has recently received a “Dear John,” letter, his behavior has changed and he has become less enthusiastic than before about pretty much everything, except going to the range for target practice, what would you do in this situation if anything at all?
7. – You and what is left of your men have been cut off and for the most part surrounded, you had been tasked with the transportation of sensitive documents which thankfully are still in your possession, what is your VERY NEXT move?
8. – You have just become commissioned an officer and are a rookie for lack of a better term, your first command is a of a highly elite platoon full of men that have had more then their fair share of experience in battle, having a senior SGT under your command and then the squad leaders as well, you must take the men out on yet another mission, how would you go about briefing the platoon about the mission and how it would be executed? (This is more pertaining to the prep for the brief than it is for the brief itself)
