Ridgeway had been needing some target practice for quite some time. He hadn't shot his M1 for what felt like months. He hadn't thought about bringing a target, he figured they would have something for him to shoot at already out there. He mumbled to himself "hopefully they have some Krauts chained up for us to shoot." He passed lots of other mean leaving from the range, he passed a guy with a PIAT, and a Captain in a Jeep of whom he saluted.
In the muddy ditch of the road he was walking on he noticed an old tall skinny cardboard box. He grabbed the cardboard and walked over to the nearest dead fire, sitting next to a camp. Ridgeway reached into the fire, jerking his hand back because it was still warm. He reached off to the side and grabbed a chunk of charcoal. Using the warm black charcoal he drew a picture of Hitler onto the cardboard. He threw the charcoal back into the fire then he couldn't help but laugh at the picture he drew. When he finally got to the range he was the only one there. This was very odd for the range normally there were loads of people here, well lucky for him now he could get down range without being shot at to set up his target. A took his target and hang it from the branch of a tree. Then jogged back the 150 Meters to the firing line.
Winters pulled out his newly bought M1 Garand. He reached down to his ammi belt and grabbed one stripper clip. Then he loaded his M1 , aligned the sites on the head of his target, then pulled teh trigger. The jolt of the 30-06 round pushed his shoulder back a few inches, within seconds he had the sights realigned and was firing again and again, until PING! he had shot all 8 rounds and the clip came flying out of the gun. He grabbed another clip and jammed it into the gun. Than began firing again and again.
All this time Ridegway was wondering where Etan was he was supposed to be meeting here to shoot but there had been no sign of Ethan yet.
