He had been away to training camp for a while, and had returned home on leave for a week. The whole family started swamping him with questions. Wie was bildete aus? Welche Nahrung aßest du? There were so many questions directed at him that he couldn't answer all of them. All he knew was that he was glad to be home. After a while, the party died down a bit, and Rolf was able to grab a stein and walk around his old neighborhood.
He was surprised at how similar it was to when he left. There was a new statue of Hitler where there used to be a fountain. Rolf thought that the fountain should have stayed and Hitler be put somewhere else, but he wasn't about to tell anyone that soon. He sat down on a bench to drink his stein.
