Country: Suriname
Current Time: Early morning about 06.00
Weather Conditions: Sun is not yet hot and dust is part of the air. Many trees in the area give off and collect a small dew and the temperature is freezing for another half-hour before it warms again. In two hours, the heat will be insurmountable and work will continue.
Doktor van de Vlakte breathed in the cool air, a relief from the heat that so often was that of Suriname. He could feel the slight dew gather in the back of his throat, wetting it for the day to come in hopes of keeping lively for the search. The rugged and aged man wore a thin jacket over his grey shirt coupled with cotton trousers that would soon be better than the wool he was issued with. The man, out of habit, began twisting his new ring around his finger. It bore the sig runes of the Ahnenerbe, the organisation he now served.
The copper ring was as immaculate as ever, not losing luster or pervasiveness. the 40-year-old smiled at the ring. He was part of the elite now. No man, save his superiors in the Ahnenerbe, stood before him. colonels of the Waffen-SS stood aside as he moved through a crowd. The change in power had gotten to Dieedrik; he now felt more at home with the authority that was now granted him.
The new authority also allowed him the privilege of asking for funding for the research trip he was now on. In search of Germanic origins in South America, he had come to a land that he was familiar with, Suriname. After bringing some of his men and hiring some civilian workers from the local population, the Dutch doctor had begun an excavation. Normally, he would perform medical experiments, but rumour had brought him to a specific area in Suriname of a particular interest to the Reich. It was ancient legend that a splinter group of the Aztec, a previous Aryan tribe, had come to the area and begun their own small society before mysteriously disappearing.
Doktor van de Vlakte had come to find an ancient temple that supposedly held directions to their crypts. Once the doctor could find the crypts, he would be able to perform measurements and chemical testing on the skeletal structures to compare them with the Germanic tribes of old. Numerous symbols had led the doctor to the area he was now digging up. Swastikas bedecked small stones that were hidden away for thousands of years and stone age was approximated to that of the old Aryan migrations across the world.
Soon, the doctor arrived at the excavation. Van Schoonhovel was supervising the dig as he was the only man besides van de Vlakte who could speak Dutch, the primary language of the dominion. Finally, Doktor van de Vlakte arrived an looked down to see that they had hit the top of some structure of limestone. He smiled and spoke down to the fifty men that were in the massive digging, "De mensen, gaan nu dieper. Ben zorgvuldig om de steen niet af te breken. Hun zijn belangrijke feiten die van het moeten worden gekregen. De rest van mijn mensen zal neer hier in een paar notulen zijn zoals één van mijn geleende beroeps zal."
Dieedrik stepped away and looked up to the grey sky that was now tinted pink as the sun rose over the wooded horizon. He was not at home in the hell-hole, but he was certainly more comfortable speaking his first language. It had been a long time since he had spoken Dutch. However, the uneducated degenerates of Suriname did not speak real Dutch; they used simplified Dutch that had been tainted by Spanish from neighbours. He was disgusted by the invasion by the Romanic words and grammar, but he held his tongue as he waited for his men to arrive. Soon, the dig would be a very large-scale endeavour.

~Men, go deeper now. Be careful not to chip the stone. Their are important facts to be gotten from it.The rest of my men will be down here in a few minutes as will one of my borrowed professionals.
