Howard was feeling a little uneasy carrying a rifle around. So he decided he better get used to it and go and fire a few shots on the firing range. Howard started the walk through the Barracks to the door to leave. He carried his Lee Enfield mark IV on his shoulder with the sling. When Howard got to the door he reached for the handle when he felt the cold already coming from the metal door. He decided to go ahead and freeze his arse off. Howard openend the door and walked into the cold air.
He started on his way to the firing range. Quickly the cold air crawled to him as if to freeze him. Howard didn't mind the cold as much as him not knowing where anything is. At this time Howard is utterly lost and is busy searching for a man to tell him where the firing range is.
Walking down the dirt path in the freezing weather was proving itself to be a very boring trip. He was heading back to base being on stag for about 4 hours straight. "Bloody ammo dump, why don't they just get some frenchies to guard it." Moaning and groaning he walked on further down the path. A little way from base he saw a Sargent walking up the track toward him about. He had the medic symbol on his arm and helmet.
He had a rifle in his hand and looked lost. "Who had decided to give a medic a rifle" thought Jack to himself, chuckling at his own joke. Then he thought to himself "Na thats harsh of me, if i ever get slotted then i would hope one of them are around to patch me up. He carried on walking along the along the dirt path, the cold freezing him through, toward the medic.
Jack was sitting by a path when he saw a medic walk past. He looked at him as he walked past he thought he recognized him but he couldn't remember. He saw the medic symbol on him and then it hit him Howard Johnson. He got up and caught up with him.
"Hey Howard are you alright."
He noticed that he was carrying a Lee Enfield Mark IV.
"Going to the firing range are you?"
He looked forward to see a man walking toward them he was carrying a Lee Enfield. He notice he was a sergeant. He walked up to him and greeted him. He began walking to the firing Range guesting that was where Howard was going.
