3ID training exercise:
Welcome to the 3ID training exercise/Wargame.
Let’s get straight to the point: you will be fighting against each other in two teams. Each team has exactly 32 men; 2 members, 24 Privates, 3 Corporals and a Sergeant and a 2 man 30. cal team. Each team will have the normal equipment (It ain’t an epic battle) for NPC soldiers and members may use the items and weaponry that they already have. However, if you use a one use item in this thread, you will still have it on the rest of the site.
We aren’t using any particular soldiers in this fight; you can name them after your own men in the Division if you want, but it won’t make a difference, there won’t be any NPC promotions or anything. In the game we are using live ammunition, so there will be blood and gore and all that, but it won’t affect you on the rest of the site.
Here is a map showing the objectives for each side: i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg38/DementedDan/3IDobj-1.jpg
The large green and blue squares that are coloured dark are the objectives for each side. Objectives:
Green team:
1: Green Team high command sees this large three storey hotel as an excellent Battalion HQ. The Problem? It has to be captured first.
2. Clear all Blue team forces out of the immediate area (AKA, the map).
Blue Team:
1. A small shop near the top of the map has been converted into a small ammunition dump. Defend it with your life, but beware: it just takes a few bullets for the whole thing to go up. Green team forces on the ground don’t know that it’s there and won’t be able to tell unless they walk inside the building.
2. Defend the town hall.
The lighter coloured Blue and Green boxes are where the units for the two teams can be placed to start off. As you may have noticed, the defending team has a much bigger area that its troops can start off in.
About the map:
The brown line connecting two buildings near the centre of the map is a plank of wood extended on the 2nd floor of two buildings. It’s possible to walk across this, but be careful as it can easily break or you could fall off.
There was a viscous tank battle in the area a few days before and there are many destroyed tanks littered around the place. These may become a nuisance when trying to navigate around the streets.
The brown objects in the hotel are just tables and chairs; I don’t know why I put them in.
Each building is the same on the upstairs as downstairs in terms of windows and rooms. Every building that has a stairs is a two storey except for the hotel and town hall, which are three storeys. And by two storeys I mean there is a ground floor and a 1st floor.
I’m posting this here to give you all a chance to discuss strategies and ask any questions (I can be very confusing). You can also request that certain parts of the map be changed.
I understand that a lot of you won’t have the same colours on paint, but try and get it as close as possible to the colour I have; as in, light blue, light green.
Go! Posting order:
Blue, Green, Blue, Green.
As far as I know, Rhys is modding this.
