Country: France
Current Time: June 9th, 1942; 18:15
Weather Conditions: Semi-Dark, Light rain.
The sky was a Grayish-Black color along with a light rain sprinkling down upon the three troops on their patrol. Wolfrick stared into what seemed an endless mystery. The troops has been sent on a patrol around the outskirts of a local occupied French city. Each individual man wondered why they had to go on their sixth patrol this week. "Sir?! you alright sir?" Asked Private Stover. Wolfrick , nearly lost in the mysterious sky. "Huh? yes Wilhelm, i am fine. and for gods sake please call me Wolfrick.. leave that Sir stuff for when we are amongst the others." Wolfrick said in a soft toned voice. Stover replied with a quick and acknowledging "Yes Sir". Wolfrick held his Gewehr 43 tightly while walking along the country side. A barn off in the distance could easily be seen.
"Cmon men, let's move, could be some Amis in that barn for all we know." Wolfrick stated. Wolfrick crouched and moved toward the barn, His comrades alongside him. "Corporal Lodz take Stover and go around back and secure the perimeter." Wolfrick demanded. Lodz nodded and quickly started moving, Stover right behind him. Wolfrick moved toward the door of the old barn. "Was there a farm here at one time? Was this used as a storage?" questions ran through Wolfrick's mind as he approached his destination. Wolfrick set his rifle against the barn side and gripped the door, slowly opening it. "SCREEEECH" the sound the door made whilst being opened. Wolfrick gripped his rifle and went inside.
"Hallo?!?!" Wolfrick called out. His voice echoing in the barn, Wolfrick looked around the barn , his mind set focused on his duty as a soldier. "Big barn" Wolfrick thought, looking up toward the loft in the barn. Wolfrick slowly approached the ladder. He strung his Gewehr around his shoulder and started to climb the ladder. "Hallo! This is now Wehrmacht property, if anyone is here you are to evacuate Immediately!" Wolfrick said sternly. Wolfrick spotted a table in the corner of the loft. He approached it, examining the contents on it. He gripped to a French book that sat on the table. He tried to make out the title, but it was too hard to see. He quickly set the book down and looked to a cot next to the table. "Someone must live here." Wolfrick muttered.
Wolfrick climbed down the ladder and walked outside. "Lodz! Stover! Status report!?!" Wolfrick shouted. Lodz and Stover came jogging around the corner. "All clear sir" Lodz announced to Wolfrick. "Good good, listen theres a bed and cot in there in the loft. I think somebody lives here or at least has stayed here once or twice." Wolfrick stated. Lodz and Stover immediately went into the barn and searched it. "No ones here now, Si...Wolfrick." Stover said. "Take cover and we shall wait to see if they return." Wolfrick said. Lodz and stover both gave a nod. All the men quickly took cover. Wolfrick stood in the loft with his Gewehr out. Lodz hid right next to the door behind a stack of hay bales. Stover stood in the left hand side corner of the barn where it was so dark Wolfrick couldn't even spot him. The men sat there and waited for the occupier to return.
