I've been playing around with photoshop and thought I would give the comic looking selection a hit and what you see below is what I came up with...

Well this is my first attempt at a comic looking image, thought I would share and if you have any comic looking images you wish to share, go ahead. Let's see them!

Best looking picture I could find Heiko, hope it's to your satisfaction!

EDIT: Weird looking lines on the left-side and top, but somehow it looks like it suits the picture? Phantom lines FTW.

EDIT 2: I didn't blur your picture either (actually forgot), so it's pretty bright and didn't use half-tone effects either. In some of the piccies above I've used half-tone for the skin (they're the dotty things that makes it look comical), but to be honest, this is a pic of just the face and wouldn't look quite right - in my opinion.

Thanks guys. When I get the chance, I'll see about doing more of these, although its funny none of the people I've already done images off haven't commented. Humbug!

Hey Addie, I've attempted to do Leeroy and below are two versions (sharp and blurred). I couldn't make my mind up one which one looked more effective, so I've posted both for you.

I've used an image of a traditional looking Romanian Gypsy, but also decided to plump for a rougher looking version, because I envisioned Leeroy being rough around the edges. I was going to make Leeroy look more masculine, but figured it wasn't necessarily her butch physic that should stand out, but rather a hardened exterior. If that makes sense?

In my mind, she's still a woman, but with a lot of grit. If we were talking Vivienne however, I would have gone for a much greater body mass. Leeroy however, I don't see that, but correct me if I'm wrong, by all means.

Anyway, here are the images and I hope they look good to you. I've also made the halftone effect (dotty parts that makes it look comical) a little more bolder on Leeroy's image, but not to the effect it's over compensating, because I feel it should be a background effect, rather than in your face too much.

Again, hope you like them.

I've gone ahead and made Nathan a comic version. I had fun with the shading for Nathan's picture, not sure why, maybe because I liked the blues!

[Leeroy Atherton]

You definitely got the vibe across you wanted with Leeroy. The image you gave me strikes as what a slightly older Leeroy would look like (in her 40's), but that's okay, as I've never given much thought into what an older Leeroy would look like. The extra mental image actually helps a lot with her character development.
