Deven was in a convy truck riding to base with nine other guys. He was a new medic transfer, waiting to show what he could do in battle, he reached for his medical bag and grabbed it. He opened the pouch and looked inside of it to see if he had everything he needed. When he finished the truck came to a stop, and the driver yelled "Everybody out of the truck". Deven grabbed everything he needed and did as he was told, as he got out he took in his surroundings. The base was full of tents, he was trying to look at everything at once when the driver came up to him and said "The Medical Area is just up the road, follow it and ya get there".
He followed the road for a few minutes until he came to a huge tent with a red cross. Deven looked at it for a moment, took a deep breath then walked in the tent as the smell of blood filled his nose. He looked around to see wounded men lying on a stretchers with a small box holding it up. Some men was moaning, quite, or others trying to get back to there squad. He looked around for someone to report to when a sergeant walked pass and said " Your a new transfer right"? Deven soluted the Sgt. and answerd "Yes sir Pvt. Deven Brown reporting for duty" the sergeant gave him a clip board and pointing at a medic treating some then said "Go Help that guy over there, do what he tell's you" then walks out of then tent.
Deven walked to the guy and said "Pvt. Deven Brown at your service" the guy smiled and said "The next wounded guy that comes in treat him". Deven nodded and waited buy the tent entrance waiting to treat someone
