The recent battles and skirmishes that had stricken the commies In the Halftrack were now taking their toll. There wasn’t much left for them to have held on to. At least now they were in a halftrack and with a new Officer that was leading them. This officer was a bit new with battling with a vehicle but he had been riding it around with patrols, Reinforcing new areas in Russia as they stopped. In the back was a load of ammo, food, and other medical supplies and also, crucial things that would help on the front lines with any place of combat. In the Middle sat around 10 new battle hardened troops that had yet to really seen any harsh combat that they would be dropped into once the halftrack left them there. The destination was Khimki, Russia. From What Aristarkh heard was that the fighting there was going on for weeks after weeks endlessly. He wasn’t prepared at all to go and see this.
Finally towards the front of the halftrack stood a gunner and Aristarkh next to him, underneath the clothe cover. His nerves were now sending him through the roof as he wasn’t sure if there was going to be very fierce fighting there or if it would be at a stand still.
Aristarkh tried calming himself knowing that he would have to brief them somehow about the area they were going to. He didn’t know much about the combat at all but he knew very much about the landscape and that the combat was fierce but he was unsure of how harsh it was and what they were up against. Like always it was the damned Fascist dogs that the Nazi party is.
Clearing his throat Aristarkh sighed and looked at his men. His face was clearly blunt as it was neither scared nor happy to be talking right now. Speaking up Aristarkh finally said All right men can I have your attention quickly so I can brief you on the situation the Head officers have put you into.
Aristarkh took a long pause and looked up out of the gunner hole before motioning for the gunner himself to keep his head low. The area is heavily forested as you can see why the lines of trees that surrounds us now and it is centered by a road, the one we are on right now. The combat here I know is fierce but I myself am unsure of how it is. I can tell you that it isn’t going to be easy to live there nice and peacefully for your stay in the woods. Basically I can not tell you much as I do not want to tell false information but I can not guarantee anything good there. At that I will leave it alone and let you talk amongst yourselves.
A few minutes later the halftrack reared to a stop as Aristarkh could hear some commotion outside. He had a few thing sin minds but finally came to the conclusion that they had arrived to where they were going. After that thought had hit his head some words came from the front of the halftrack from the driver Sir, We are here.
Aristarkh nodded and motioned for the men to leave and take the supplies. Scanning the area he looked for anything that could be a possible officer rest spot so that he could find out about who was in charge of the place. Finally looking at a smaller tent with a wooden desk inside Aristarkh half smiled and walked towards it. He cleared his throat and spoke up Is there anyone inside that could show me to the man in charge?
