The evening was cold but bright enough to be able to see things, Stephen wondered along the road, his feet tired and sore as he walked. He had been in a crash and had escaped, his other pilots had been killed, so it was just him.
He knew that he would be in great danger as he walked through the village, the inhabitants were watching him from their doors, thinking if he was going to come near them. He had been to one house already but they had turned him away.
Stephen didn't care really if he got caught, he had no family to go back home with, no one to love him, so he would have rather been killed. He walked slowely on, the sun fading ever so slightly.

His stomach growled from hunger, but there’s no food to spare. The young soldier did not want to barge in to the families there since he himself knew how improper that would be; plus if his mother ever found out Naga would never hear the end of it.
Kicking the pebbles as he walked down the road, the private heard a loud whiz spurring in the air. Without a second thought, he quickly dived to an abandoned church hurling himself in a crouch position; but moments later he found it odd there was no blast ensued after it.
Curious he stepped out staring at the red sky and noticed the white smoky trail of a plane. Naga was sure that a plane was recently hit, but he had no proof if it was a friend or a foe. Thinking of the possibility that it might be a German pilot injured, the private rushed to the scene where he estimated the airplane crashed.
What he found instead was an Allied soldier walking so slovenly, dragging his foot. He saw the soldier carried no artillery with him, not that he knew of, and this knowledge dared Naga to approach closer to the enemy.
“State yourself soldier,” he declared in fluent English pointing the Mauser Karbine straight at him. Any funny business, and Naga was sure he could finish him off.
Stephen had been deep in thought when he heard a shout from right in front of him. He looked up and saw a Japanse pointing a gun straight at him and his words.. "State yourself soldier".
As quickly as he could, Stephen stuck his hands in the air, his eyes widening his heart beating fast. "I am Private Stephen Colly." he said, his words coming out as stutters. "I have no weapons on me." he said, his hands shaking.

Naga shook his head and sighed. A new recruit. It’s a wonder how they are getting younger and younger these days.
He cocked his eyebrow as he listened to the boy stutter, but the Axis soldier gave no trust to Colly’s words. With the Kar positioned at a stable angle on his enemy, Naga went through each socket patting on the soldier’s uniform thoroughly. Hrm. All cleared. Figures.
“Colly, eh? You must bless your lucky star today ‘cause I’m more hungry for food than for blood,” he laughed in a rather playful mock, “But you’re still coming with me. Come on.”
Stephen was slightly relieved when the Jap spoke first, saying that he was more hungry for food then for blood. But when he spoke after that, all the colour drained from Stephen's face. "You're not going to kill me?" he asked in slight worryment, "Please...." he stuttered, if this man was going to kill him then he would be done for.

“I heard rumors that British soldiers cower in the face of a gun, but I never believe it until I met you,” he jabbed his rifle to the Allied soldier taking pleasure in tormenting his newly-found toy. “Don’t worry boy. Think of it this way. If I killed you now you’ll never have to worry again for the rest of your life. Not for war. Not for living. Not for anything.”
“But as I said earlier I’m hungry. I’m not gonna kill ya ‘cause we, me and you, are going through the rubble pile mess here for food. Can food. Cat food. I don’t give a dam. Then when I no longer found ya useful I’ll kill you. You can worry about that later. Now here go through that pile over there and if you found anything call me. I’ll be here. And don’t you dare start thinking of running away, you here?”

Luke was starting to shake, he was terrified to see what the Jap would do, as he listened to his speech, he felt like he didn't hear it. The thought of running away had crossed Stephen's mind, but when the Jap spoke that thought went out of his head.
He stumbled over the rubble, nearly loosing his footing and falling but steaded himself. He looked back at the Jap, hatedrate and scaredness on his face as he searched for food.

Don't fear, you haven't done anything wrong. I just wanted to note, that whatever type of thread you have within the 'Combat Area' - Whether it's fighting, talking, whatever, there will ALWAYS be one "Winner" & "Loser".
The difference is; The winner gains more 'CP', whilst the Loser Dwells in a smaller amount. Just thought i'd make that clear, incase you hadn't realise.
"Found anything?" Naga yelled to the rubbled mess as he crouched over tossing a piece of what might have been a house over his head. He still did not trust the British to go stick around, might even back stabbed him to the back when he's not too careful, but after half a year facing with the same old death, war routine, the private could not care less if he'd be alive or dead. At this thought, he began to reconsider his earlier conversation about death with the younger man.
"Where you from, kid? Didn't expect a Jap to speak English, huh?"
Stephen had been searching around for food, finding nothing, as he heard the Jap speak again, he looked up.
"I'm from Norfolk sir, England, the reason I came to the war...was to find my horse..." he trailed off, his beloved horse had been sold to the army to help with the war effort, and Stephen wanted to find him to get him back.

Naga could not believe his ears. Did he just say for a horse? The private though he dropped a rubble on his foot could not help but fell back in laughter.
"You're not serious? Right? You went to war or should I say you trade your life for a horse? Kid, there's better things out there to die for but not for a horse," he patted on the young soldier's shoulders stiffling his laugh all the while during their conversation. "And here my father called me the stupidest kid alive. You know what. You just made my day. Maybe I'll postponed killing you afterall. But I can't promise you."
Just then he noticed a round-shaped metal stuck out to the side. Jumping for joy, he dashed over and pulled on it. "Kid, you know what this mean. Food. Here. How about I make it up to your death with a delicious meal before you go on your merry way?" He tossed the can with the smeared images of a fish dancing in a hula skirt.
Stephen knew when the Jap started to laugh that it had been the sillist of things to say, his father would kill him if that was the reason he went out to war was to find Joey. As the Jap patted him on the shoulder, he teased up, feeling the pat, he brushed the man away from him and sat down on some rubble.
Stephen looked up and saw that he had found the can of food. He shrugged lightly, not knowing what to say.

"Come on now. Don't pout. You know it's silly if that is your real reason to go to war," he jumped over to snatch the can of the Allied soldier. "And didn't they teach you to say 'Thank You' when you receive something. Tsk. Tsk." Naga shook his finger at Stephen treating him as if he were a five year old.
"Let me open up the can for you," he said rather rigidly and tossed the can high in the air only to fall few inches before him. "Watch this." With the Kar pointing straight at the can, he let a rip on the gun firing carelessly away. A gray ooze leaked out of a hole he just marked but it failed to open as he hoped it would be.
"Guess you'll have to suck like a baby to eat the thing," the private rubbed his head a little disappointed at the outcome. But as he gazed down to the ground he noticed the ground trembling and the rocks shaking harder with each second passed.
"What in the world...."
Slam.
Before he finished his sentence, a huge horse sat on his chest plus a man stood atop it in a spectacular entrance fit for a hero.
Stephen muttered thank you, the food looked horrible, and it was the reason that he had come to war.
He watched the Jap try to open the tin, smiling slightly as he tried to open it and did not suceed.
As the shadow came across them, Stephen looked up and indeed, the horse was there, and the rider on top. "What the hell?" he said, staring open mouthed.

"What the hell is right," the soldier shouted flinging his arms and legs aimlessly in the air. "Get this beast off a me. Oh...lord...no. The thing just farted." He pouted, his face contorted in exquisite pain as he stared at the horse's rear-end.
"I know I said I'm hungry but I'm not that hungry that I want to eat a horse," he spat out as he felt a tail's whip brushed his face. "And...and...*cough* who are you on the top?" Naga tilted his head sideway before turning a cold gaze on Stephen. "I say, sir, help me outta here," his voice cracked almost as if he's desperate to be freed from his awkward position.
