OOC: This is probably the most unorthodox Neutral thread in history but I got permission from PuNK so...in most respects, it's like a Hostile thread, except it's between two Allied teams and there is zero chance of death and but a slight chance of serious injury. It is a battle between the Fisrt Batallion, led by Sergeant David Bevan, and the Third Battalion, led by Coproral Rhodri Williams of the Royal Welsh Fusiliers. Jonathan Jones, the only other member will be David's Second-in-command and will control two of Bevan's NPC's. When you post, make sure to edit the map or it'll get even more confusing. This will also be needing mod-marking.
Lieteunant Day surveyed the mass of exhausted individuals in front of him. They had had a hard day's fighting and were completely tired out but he had been unmerciless. But twenty minutes after they had retired to their bunks, he had ordered a couple of burly sergeants to drag the troops out of bed and force them to go on a ferocious 1800 metre run in the pitch black. The rain hammered down onto the well-trodden gravel path as it did battle with the roaring wind.
Ordinarily, Ethan would not have been so harsh, but he knew that what his men deserved was a good kick up the backside.
"Men!" he barked. "I suppose you're wondering why I called you out here, aren't you?"
The rebellious mutterings that ensued confirmed the Lieteunant's question. One private looked on the verge of crying.
Ethan grinned and tossed a common rifle through the air for a young Corporal to catch and continued.
"Tonight, we'll be enjoying a little training excersise. I have filled your weapons with a multitude of tiny darts. Although they pack a punch, the chance of death upon impact is miniscule,"
To demonstrate this fact, Ethan sent a powerful round from his own rifle into a nearby tree trunk. They barely left a scratch.
"That isn't to say they don't hurt," continued the Lieteunant. "And at close range, these can be positively deadly,"
Ethan slung his rifle over his shoulder and grinned.
"You slackers are going to experience a proper battle first hand; against each other,"
Ethan enjoyed the shocked silence that erupted at this point and grinned toothily.
"Sergeant Bevan," he said loudly, turning towards young David, a skilled combatant by all accounts. "You will be commanding the First Platoon. You have six eager privates. Use them wisely,"
Ethan turned to the second most senior member of the small gathering.
"Coporal Rhodri Williams," he nodded fondly. "You and the Third Batallion will be their foe. Does everyone understand?"
The mass of soldiers nodded frantically, suddenly aware of what they were expected to do. They would have to shoot eachother...
"Three hits and you're out," barked Ethan. "If every member of a platoon is eliminated, the surviving platoon are victorious. And the losers...well...let's say I have something...interesting...planned for them, shall we? If the platoon commander is eliminated, his platoon is automatically defeated! Any questions?"
The Lieteunant waited for someone to speak up but they remained solemnly quiet, dreading what was to next to come.
"You have one hour to deploy your troops," he said, nodding towards Bevan and Williams respectedly. "From then on, it's a game of cat and mouse! Good luck men and...begin!"
-Rhodri Williams (Introductory, must state where you will deploy your men)
-David Bevan (Introductory, must state where you will deploy men)
-Rhodri Williams (Offensive)
-Jonathan Jones (Offensive)
-Rhodri Williams (Offensive)
-David Bevan (Offensive)
And so on and so forth.
Good luck everyone.
(You may deploy your men anywhere you want in the introductory post.)
