Jack watched from the roof of the building as the soldiers spread out and searched the immediate area area around them. He did a circuit around the deck of the building to see if their was any movement. Nothing. He returned to the shadows off the wall and looked back down to the rest of the unit.
"OK guys, this is what we're gonna do." James was stood with Daniel and Harry, pulling something out of his bag. "Put your bayonet onto the end of your rifle and fully inspect every bush, every tree, anywhere that the enemy could be hidden. Jack's gonna give us cover from the house. Stay silent unless you see something." The trio arranged themselves into a line and began walking slowly around the building. All three off them were on edge, and every bush received a firm prodding and kicking.
Jack was also on edge. He went downstairs and searched the building making sure that nobody was inside except him. He closed the door and made sure it was locked and closed the windows, making sure nobody could come into the window without him knowing. He climbed back onto the roof and began patrolling the upper floor.
On the ground every scrap of cover was being prodded. With Lewis moving in the opposite direction, the enemy was trapped in an area growing gradually smaller. If anybody was moving with any speed outside, Jack would see them. The German was slowly running out of options.

Having three men search the Northern sector; Via' doing a fine sweep. They failed to disturb the supposed sniper in the woodlands and further more, have found no traces of evidence.
The morale is dropping... - The Allied Soldiers [NPC's] are beginning to think PVT. Davies was killed by the fleeing Nazi they stumbled across prior. - Their Searching for the opposed sniper is slackening. (To Counter-Balance this, a Sergeant/Corporal leading the search with them, would boost their morale)

Edzard glassed the area, no real threat at the moment. None the less he made sure his knife was properly tucked away so he could get to it easily without having to think much. He kept trudging along his merry way, waiting for the chance to possibly get one more kill and not have to deal with the repercussions, well at least not yet, he could feel that time getting closer, just not quite yet. He remained slow in nature and creepy in thought. At one point he even smiled at the thought of slithering like a snake in the leaves.
The darkness had mostly consumed the entire area so moving seemed to be easier than originally planned. None the less he kept his composure and made sure not to become lax in his judgment. This fight was still very much alive and he didn't want to get caught with his pants around his ankles and no option but to tuck tail and run. He was honestly surprised that the enemy had not tried to fire randomly into the mist, but Edzard knew all to well that even a well aimed shot had a good chance of missing, even more so with random ones, he would not let it sway him from his task - kill - kill and not be seen.
I have to say, I'm really impressed, because by now, I anticipated that Edzard would've at least been disgruntled from his concealment at least the once. Not to pry on giving too much hints and tips, but there are plenty of options open to ratting out Edzard - Such as items in the shop that could help or even simple tactics I've yet to see displayed.
So don't think Snipers are impossible to find, but with the current situation (Night/Low Morale/Dwindling smoke/Woodlands!) everything is very much in Edzard's favour and he's even using special Camo' for this terrain. Trust me, he's quite deadly right-about-now. Following Actions have been made;
Edzard Crimm:
Remains concealed & undetected.
Allied Soldier [NPC] Morale is continuing to drop; They truely do think the fleeing figure was the marksman and their searching techniques are slackening. With some trees and shrubs they're passing, going unsearched.
I highly recommend using a NCO (whether player/NPC) to boost their morale in the search and lead them.
Lewis and the remaining 2 men set off to search the area near the entrance of the lodge. Lewis told everyman to attach his bayonet. Then they arranged themselves in a line of three and set off on a search. Every man was scared stiff he could be ambushed and shot any moment, he could even be stabbed. Without anyone knowing until hours later when the sniper was gone. The soldiers had lost there hopes of survival. Lewis quietly whispered, " So what do you guys got planned when ya get home any hot chick to go home to?" Lewis was never good at trying to be funny, but needed to desperately try anything to to raise moral.
Wilson looked over and amusingly " Nothing here just my old life, living in the basement of my Dads, with his sorry ass grouching every day." Smith laughed and said " Well I got a hot hot wife with big..." Lewis interrupted " ok we get it I know whats about to come you can stop there" Smith continues "...anyways, a got 3 children, a daughter and 2 boys, boy they are a handful"
By the end of their search every bush had received a firm bayoneting or kicking.
Moving southward with two subordinates, they have failed to find any traces of the mysterious sniper. Although SFC, Lewis is raising the morale of the two subordinates beneath his command (currently with him searching the woodlands); They still reckon the Marksman has already fled.

OOC: For the duration of this thread, can I consider Damian an NPC Sergeant? I'm sure I wouldn't want to take away JT's chance to kill him. Also, he was planning on buying a flare gun. Could I have one taken from his CP for this thread?
LOL!! A flare gun? Yeah, that won't get you shot quicker LOL!! -JT
Tell you what, You may use Damian as an NPC for the duration of this thread, as long as you didn't use him as cannon-fodder to do the stupid tasks.
Although I should intentionally say "No", because poor Edzard's outgunned and outnumbered still highly, it would unbalance how this thread has been going and you're simply not to blame for his actions. So why should you suffer? You may use him as an NPC, yes. As long as you didn't throw him about as pure cannon fodder; His death would still count as a Minus-Digit on the 3ID's Thread by the way, if somehow he did get picked off.

OOC: As much as I’d have loved to carry on with this, I’ve just been overtaken with exams. Sorry JT.
Jack swallowed, trying to get some sort of relief onto his parched throat. He stepped back from the parapet and tried to put some calm thoughts down. They could go ahead and search every damn bush in the surrounding area of the hut, but there was no guarantee that an enemy was their. The privates could be right in thinking that the enemy had left, and Rigby had only died from a retreating soldier. Jack certainly didn’t want to hang around much longer, and a fleeing enemy seemed very feasible. He swore as he realized that they had probably wasted time that could be spent in a much better way. He turned and headed for the stairs.
He shouldered his pack as he quickly strode over to the door, calling out in a harsh whisper. ”Lewis, get your arse over here, quickly!” he jogged over to the other side of the building giving a similar message. He waited for the others to assemble in the room before giving a quick brief. ”I think you’re right. I doubt there is a sniper, and even if there is, if we wait around here it will be light enough for him to be able to pick us all off. We’re gonna pull out. I’ll go on point, Lewis you take the rear. Come on guys.”
The team pulled on their bags, the thought of the long march pushing down on them. Jack peered out of the building before breaking into a run eastwards, intent on getting as close to the RV as possible before dawn.

Moderation Post:
The following CP has been issued.
Edzard Crimm: Somehow, whether by sheer luck or plain skill (I'm betting on the luck) you have remained unfound by the much largerenemy force. You have been issued 25CP
Jack Knight: Not really doing much against the far smaller enemy post, you have been awarded 18CP.

For what it is worth, that door you peered out of and then ran from. The same door that everyone came through to assemble, I was at that moment, sitting right next to, and by right next to I mean within arms length LOL!! My next move was to take off my boots (for silence) than sneak in and try to take you as a P.O.W. you would have found me out, no question with that move, oh well, maybe next time
