Name: Ingolf Trolz Sørenson
Nationality: Danish
Character History:
Ingolf Trolz Sørenson was born in the Winter of 1916 to Morten and Ketty. The first few years of his life were peaceful, simply because of where he lived. Born in the country, then moved to Copenhagen within the beginning of his life. His father was a baker and his mother helped in the store. Going through education of his age, his father urged him to learn German, which he did. He never learned English, but he did go into learning Swedish, simply because of where he lived. By the age of 12 his father sent him into Germany to become a student of learning there, learning how to make different types of bread, pastries, and other such things. While in Germany he witnessed the uprising of Nazi Germany.
When he came home in 1935 he was nineteen years old and travelled through Germany and Austria. He returned to Copenhagen and helped his father in his business. In 1939 his father started believing in the Nazi ideals that were rampant throughout the rest of this part of Germany. Though Ingolf had already moved on and was running his own pastry shop. Then a year later, the most memorable day of his life happened. The Germans invaded Denmark.
For the time being Ingolf hoped that the military would be able to put up some sort of fight, but no, they fell quickly. Two weeks after the Germans entered Copenhagen he gathered a group of friends and started a newspaper. This newspaper was their way of telling the truth of what was really going on. Ingolf was one of the writers for it. Though, the group became militant after a German crackdown. They brought all of their weapons together, and raided a German compound stealing weapons. Soon they were getting weapons through Sweden into their hands, making them even more dangerous.
Ingolf took lead of his group of members, all willing to fight for the cause. They have been striking fear into the Germans since they entered the country. Ingolf’s name is up on every wanted board, offering 10,000 DK on him. Though he is elusive, no one has a clear picture of his face. Currently he goes by the name Bernt Aksel Ludvigsen.

He remembered when they first came, the Germans. It was in April of 1940. The Third Reich wishing to expand their empire invaded its neighbors, and soon, of course they would come to Denmark. The Nazis would not be able to help themselves, especially if the country looked weak. So it began. The country went down fast, and not giving up much of a fight. This angered some people, so soon, the resistance movement began.
It was in Copenhagen that Ingolf lived. He had been sitting in the basement of a room listening to the BBC and what was going on in the world. A cigarette was between his fingers, casting a smoky haze around the dimly lit room. Ingolf sighed as he heard that the Nazis were pushing forward on all fronts. That is when a loud knocking could be heard from the door into the basement. He stood up, picking up a pistol that was sitting on the table and went up to it. Then knocked once back through it. The reply came in three more knocks.
” Kom ind.” Ingolf said as he unlocked and opened the door, bringing the pistol down to his side. Two men stepped through the door, each wearing normal clothing. ”Så, hvad vi har for målet?” he said as he walked back over to his table, pulling his suspenders back up to his shoulders from their resting place.
”Vi har fået Cafe Lauritz Betjent.” Felix said while taking a seat and pulling out a cigarette, then lighting it. ”Der er angiveligt mange højt rangerende officerer der.” Svend added as he stood away from the other two, forming a sort of circle.
” Hvor lang tid har vi?” Ingolf asked while putting out his cigarette in the dish on the table between them all. ” To timer.” Felix replied while taking a breathe from his cigarette, then puffing more smoke into the air.
” Lad os blive klar.” Ingolf said while standing up and heading over to the chest on the other wall. Opening it easily and lifting the lid, one could see that it was a weapons stash. He pulled out a shoulder holster and threw it on. Then he pulled out a Sten from the container, also grabbing a clip and pushing it in, then pulling back on the action. Felix then handed Ingolf his sidearm which he had left on the table. Ingolf took it and put it into his holster. Svend and Felix then pulled out two more Stens. Ingolf stood up holding four more clips in hand, before quickly pocketting them. He pulled out three more clips for his pistol and placed them in another pocket. ” Vi venter her så orlov i en time.” Ingolf ordered as he then went back to his seat, leaving the rifle next to the arm.
The time was 17:37 when Ingolf, Felix, and Svend reached the corner outside of the Cafe Lauritz Betjent. It was a priime time for many German officers to be doing things. The three were all in the same car, looking and watching for anything else to happen. ” Det er på tide.” Felix said as he looked at his watch. ” Udmærket, lad os gøre det.” Ingolf said as he opened the door and stepped out. The Sten was hidden under his coat when the other two met by his sides. The three walked together until they came to the door, with Ingolf opening it. A women passed through, so he tipped his hat, then went inside, Felix and Svend were close behind him.
His eyes glanced around the room looking at all the people inside. German officers were sitting around enjoying themselves. It’s disgusting at how they can act joyous after what they’ve done. Ingolf thought. Then he took a deep breath. Then pulled the Sten out from under his coat and opened fire at the bar, the bullets burst through the people and bottles on the wall all together. The other two had opened fire as well on different sections. After the three exhausted their ammunitions they ran out of the building when soldiers who were not hurt began firing back.
The three reached the car with Felix jumping into the driver’s seat and driving past the front of the cafe while the others shot back. Ingolf had reloaded while running and opened fire at the Germans running out of the cafe. While they jumped into the car it sped away with them shooting at the cafe more.
