A single round is defined when both members have posted. A moderation post will be made after every post however.

The crisp chilly wind swept across the dormant night-sky and the soft sound of rustling from the trees in the distance soothed the air. Ordered to reach a rendezvous point by dawn, you and your men move carefully through the shadow of the night and make haste to your destination with apprehension.

After a while, you become lost. Despite looking at the map in detail, none of your surroundings seem to be the same, as if the world around you had suddenly changed and nothing familiar can be compared to the map. Now aimlessly wandering the changing landscape, you search in vain for some sort of focal-point you can regain your bearings from, in order to judge your whereabouts.

One of your men spot a structure within the short distance, but through the blanket of darkness you're unable to make out what it could possibly be. Taking a risk, you decide to move in and check it out...

OOC: I’m assuming that there is some furniture in the buildings. Most NPC’s are moving around, but I’ve put their general position.

The war in France was continuing, with Allied and Axis forces trying to outmanoeuvre each other and attempt to take control of the vital European country. The Third SS Panzer Division had deployed an infantry patrol for a reconnaissance in force, a mission to find where elements of the US Army were so that the heavy panzers of the division could be sent to demolish them.

The seventeen man patrol had departed the SS encampment the day before, but had encountered a small skirmish with American forces. Whilst they had won, one man had been killed, and in the process the squad radio demolished. This had the devastating effect of meaning that there were to be no further communications with base until they could find another German unit and takes their radio. The remainder of the squad, however, was heavily armed and highly trained, the veritable ‘elite’ of the 3rd SS. It was made of mainly junior NCO’s, Rottenfuhrers with combat experience. One skilled marksmen was with them, toting a dangerous scoped G43 rifle, and two members of the squad had powerful MG42 light machine guns, belts of ammunition strewn out between the patrol. Anti-tank capability was held by the two senior NCO’s in charge. Sturmscharfuhrer Luther, the de facto leader of the patrol had an RPzB 54 88mm anti-tank weapon, commonly known as the panzerschreck. Luther wore a harness with three shells on, as did another two members of the squad, meaning nine HEAT warheads were availabile for the weapon. whilst Sturmscharfuhrer McMillan had a Soviet PTRS-41 anti-tank rifle.

Ahead of the squad, there was a vague silhouette of a camp. However, at almost 1 a.m., it was hard to be sure. Luther had already checked the map, and there was no permanent camp built anywhere near where they need to be. The squad had been carefully advancing on it in the darkness, all the while wary that it may be held by Americans, but needing to find somewhere with maps of the area so they could determine their location and from there get back on track. There was a collective breath held by the soldiers as the extended line advanced towards the buildings which were slowly coming more and more in to focus.

The near guard tower drew Luther’s attention, but there was no way of knowing if it was occupied or not in the light. He signalled for Gielnik to aim his MG42 to at it and create a firm firing position as Luther and a small group advanced. This fence of the compound began to appear, and it was apparent that there was a large gap in its north side. There was eeriness around the camp, caused not by the darkness, but the lack of any light at all.

The wind seemed to have come to an almost complete standstill, the whole night waiting as Luther advanced towards the gap in the fence. He dropped to one knee carefully, drawing a knife and stabbing at the ground, feeling for the tell-tale discs of landmines underneath. When he was satisfied he could enter, he signalled for the rest of the patrol to catch up. They gathered around outside the gap in the fence, listening as Luther began a briefing in hushed tones. ”We have been on our feet all day, I think the general agreement is that we need to find a place for the night. We’re going to conduct a fall sweep of this camp, and look for anything to indicate where we are. Maps would be a good start, but also look for any weapons, ammunition. Shell casings might indicate if Germans or Americans were here. We’ll need to gather anything like wood or metal sheeting we can find so we can barricade the hole in this fence. Sapper Tilebein, you’re responsible for the barricade. Fischer, Lueders I want you to set yourselves up in the tower on the opposite corner of the camp. Everybody else, use your initiative and recce the area. Move out, team.”

Cold breath frosting in front of him, Luther advanced carefully, MP40 held tight in to his shoulder. He made a line towards the second building in front of him, the central of three identical barracks. A few of the Rottenfuhrer’s flanked him as he stood in front of the door. He dropped on to one knee, creating a firing position, as they Rottenfuhrer’s grabbed the doors. Upon Luther’s mark, they were flung open. The sound of the doors broke the silence, but the empty room did not react. Luther slowly walked in, looking around. Barred windows meant that the only way in was through the door, but a good firing position was had. The buildings neighbouring it created a natural choke-point so this was altogether not a bad place to set up a base in. “McMillan,” he called over, as he dropped his Panzerschreck and ammo, the two Rottenfuhrer’s followed suit. ”We can establish a base in here, put the second MG42 so it is covering the courtyard. We can defend it easily enough if we are attacked.”

Luther conducted a thorough sweep of the building, looking for anything to help pin detail on where they were, as did the rest of the squad around the compound. Gielnik came in, grabbing a table and moving it in front of the door, flipping it on its side and placing another behind it, so that he could place the bipod of his MG42 at a comfortable height for a firing base.

• Entering the encampment cautiously, everyone understood their roles perfectly and kept their guard up for any unsuspecting surprises to arise. The encampment also had a stale smell too it, as if it had been abandoned for a period of time or had been misused by the occupiers; the apparent smell of faeces lingered in the small breeze inside of the encampment and the damage to the perimeter fencing only concluded two options: One, there could have been a major breakout from whatever was being kept within the confines of the prison camp or two, someone let themselves in? Which seemed unlikely.
  
  
• The Barracks:
  Investigating the barracks with a protocol procedure of entry, they were all indeed empty. Bunk-beds littered both sides of each barracks and German military clothing laid strewn on most of the cots, signifying this was once an Allied prisoner of war camp, pertaining German soldiers in particular from the German military uniforms discarded around the barracks.
  
  Small footlockers stood at the bottom of each double bunk-bed and some minor table and chairs stood at the far end. There were no wash facilities and with wrought iron barred windows (no bigger than a foot and a half wide, half that in height) meant very little sunlight or visibility from within the barracks could be had. Simply by the accommodation standards, these prisoners were mistreated just as bad as the Jews, difference being, where was they now?
  
  
• Main Office:
  Investigating the main office (building on the top left), the two Corporals cautiously wandered the main lobby. A few desks littered the room, with paperwork cascaded across both the floor and desktops. Upon closer inspection of the documents, they held no real importance and both men moved towards the back-room inside of the building for further investigation.
  
  Kicking open the door and moving in swiftly, they soon regurgitated from the horrendous stench of rotting flesh and covered their orophouses. Slumped against a large grand desk was what seemed to be an officer, but the decomposition of the body suggested he’d been there for at least a few weeks or more. With a Colt .45 pistol in one hand, he’d obviously taken his own life, which became more apparent as the two Corporals noticed the large matter of brain, skull and blood against the back wall.
  
  Unable to stay in the room any longer, they both moved out into the main lobby.
  
  
• The Hole:
  Entering the small confined building, the two men wretched at fowl stench inside. It was completely dark and both men struggled to see anything. With no windows to the building, it was amazing that one of the Corporals did manage to find a door handle to one of the cells (they’re wooden doors). Opening the door, he quickly staggered back in shock as a dead body fell out on him. Naked and rotten, it was unknown to who’s body it actually was…
  
  Not bothering to check the other two cells, they remained close to the exit. The building was quite obviously there to serve as punishment or worse.
  
  
• Nothing important was found during everyone’s investigation. The encampment was empty and perhaps for some time. It did at one stage harbour German prisoners, but the motives of the camp remain unknown. This was no ordinary POW camp.

[Edward"Butcher"McMillan]

McMillan was positioned near the rear of the formation for tactical purposes, having an experienced commander on both ends meant there would be no delay if they had to turn one hundred and eighty degrees and get out of a situation. Was one of the few times Edward hadn't been at the front of the line. Usually only an Officer could tell him how things were going to be, something that was all too often hit or miss. He preferred the NCO's when it came to combat, luckily he was with one of the best. The only other man in the unit with as much experience as himself, quite possibly the most lethal patrol on the continent. Armed to the teeth and moving with only the finest of soldiers. Edward honestly pitied any force twice their size if they were to meet. He shifted his StG 45 around in his grip a time or two to get a good feel and then pulled it close to his body once more. He was finally starting to get used to the long barreled PTRS-41 that was slung across his back.

After having proven his thoughts to be accurate, their radio operator had been blown to pieces and his radio with it. They were effectively on their own for the time being, but kept moving none the less. Hopefully the unit they were to link up with would still be where it was supposed to be. But that was still several hours of movement until the meeting, and that was only if they didn't have to avoid anything or lay low. Most likely they would be catching a few hours rest in the near future.

After a short while the formation was halted and Luther took a few men ahead. McMillan had mostly been keeping his eyes to the flanks and the rear of the formation, when he took a moment to look ahead he saw what had caught the man's eye. "Please be empty." he muttered under his breath.

Within a couple short minutes they were inside the camp, or what was left of it and searching for anything to get their bearings on the position. Didn't exactly smell the best, but was a far sight better than sleeping in tall wet grass. Didn't look as if they would be bothered either, by the looks of it, this place had been long forgotten.

Luther called to Edward who was only a few feet outside of the door by then. Several quick steps and he was just outside of arms reach. "MG-42, got it." He responded to the order and helped Geilnik arrange the tables and hoist the machine gun up into position onto the bi-pod. Seriously hope they don't end up getting close enough for this to be needed. McMillan thought to himself as he lifted the ammo box and placed it next to Geilnik. "I'm going to go check on the rest of the men Luther, I'll inform them that this is our temporary headquarters." After receiving confirmation he set out to the small groups of men around the facility. He first went to the pairs of men in each building on the sides of the HQ. They seemed to be fairing just as much as the center building, not much but uniforms and abandoned furniture. "One of you grab an exterior window and keep your eyes open, the other can take a breather by the door but keep it open, in case we have to move I don't want to have to chase anyone down, you will be able to see and here all orders as they happen." The troops seemed to understand and then he set off for the gloomy looking structure directly across from their Headquarters. "Wow, how can you guys see in here?" He asked, but wasn't really looking for an answer. "Alright listen up, just across the way there is an MG-42 watching the courtyard, since you guys have no windows, stay right next to the door. If for some God forsaken reason you think that MG-42 is going to open up on something, you get your tails out of this doorway and either link up with the men in HQ or move next door to the building with me. Understood?" They were all to happy to have a standing order to vacate their current location. The parameters weren't the most common, but they were glad for them none the less.

Ed made his way to the top corner of the interior fence near Tilebein. "How is that hole coming Ingwer?" McMillan asked.

"It isn't a brand new fence Sturmscharführer, but it will keep the critters out." Tilebein responded.

"Good news, take up a spot in this guard shack there to keep an eye on your work, just in case you think it needs you. Haha. Becker and Oehl will keep you company, isn't that right guys?" Edward added and the men nodded. "Try to get some rest gentlemen, we will be moving back out in a few hours. Find you a decent wall to hold up but keep at least one man in your group within earshot of the temporary headquarters. Right there, the center building." He finished up and pointed toward where he had just helped Geilnik set up the MG-42.

McMillan's last stop was what seemed to be the original headquarters of the facility. Two feet inside of the door and his eyes almost started to water. "Jesus Christ, what the hell did you guys do in here?!" Ed blurted out as he waved his hand in front of his face. He had smelled death before, but this was a somewhat confined area. One man came rushing from the back office, vomit glistening off his chin. He took over the corner by the door as he continued to gag. "Take a look out of that window, I'll be staying in here with you until Woenert gets his wits about himself. HQ is in the center building just on the other side of the interior fence."

They were as set as they could or even wanted to be, it had been a somewhat long day, and they were thankful for just the few minutes inside the camp they hadn't been moving...even if it smelled like a butcher shop a month after the power went out.

• Edward moved around the small POW facility and attended to each man’s position (except the guard-tower) and oversaw their positioning. Most of the men understood where the field headquarters had been set-up and kept this in mind.
  
  
• ENG Ingwer Tilebein attempted to barricade the northern break in the fence, but the hole was too large and nothing could plug-the-hole enough for it to be sustainable. The break in the fence remains open.
  
  *Engineer Intuition* (only the engineer can perform this option)
  The only option remaining, was that he could move the broken fence somewhere else and replace the existing broken fence with another in the compound. This won’t fix the hole, but instead, move the broken fence else where. In other words, trade the broken fence with a healthy one.
  
  This action could possibly take up to three posts or more (not rounds) to complete. Depending on the amount of legwork required with replacing the broken fence with another.

*** HORDE MAP! ***

THE HORDE ATTACKS![/b][/color]

The quiet crisp air was broken from silence by a gurgling groan from the front of the perimeter, catching the attention of a few men standing on guard. Staggering out of the nearby brush, a bloodied American uniformed soldier limped towards the front of the POW compound with outstretched arms and a gaping jaw. Deadly pale, blemished and tattered flesh, with emaciated gaunt features, the soldier looked like a walking corpse and headed straight towards the encampment.

Before the German soldiers on guard could react to the unravelling situation, more curdling groans caught the wind and various bodies began to emerge from around the camp slowly, with pale grim features and kitted out with American military uniforms. Perhaps these were the POW’s guards!? Maybe this was an assault!? Or maybe they were wounded soldiers!?

• Front Entrance:
  The two corporals at the front gate yelled in broken English: “Stop! Halt!” with their rifles shouldered and aiming at the enemy soldier staggering directly towards. Distracted by the man heading straight at them, another two appeared from the brush, walking with a steady slow pace and looking completely emaciated, gaunt and dead.
  
  One of the corporals noticed one of the soldiers limping towards them carrying a rifle in his hands loosely and opened fire immediately, letting off a single round aimed at the torso region. The bullet thudded on target, knocking the staggering American soldier back one pace, but didn’t phase him otherwise.
  
  Dumbfound, he chambered another rifle round and let loose again on American soldier’s torso, knowing he definitely hit the target again as a spore of blood plumed from the man’s chest. Yet again, he just kept coming! Both Corporals fell behind cover and knew reinforcements would arrive soon from the rifle shots.
  
  
• Southern Guard-Tower:
  Distracted by what was happening across the encampment, both the men in the tower watched across the encampment towards what was happening on the other side. Little did they realise, a gaunt and dead looking American soldier had walked straight through the broken fence below their guard-tower and into the encampment, aimlessly wandering towards the loud noise.
  

Notes:
A moderation post will occur after every post, but the next horde will arrive once both Nathan and JT have both posted. A round occurs when both parties have posted. All remaining zombies alive after the round, will remain on the map during the next horde attack and so forth.

Automated actions may occur when I feel a unit or member could react to a situation. As read above with the two corporals on guard at the entrance, one of them taking the initiative to fire having seen a weapon on one of the American zombies.

Still night air was shattered by a single rifle shot, followed quickly by another. Luther had a double take, as he pulled his MP40 from its slack position on its sling in to his hands, and ran towards the door of his building. Silvery moonlight poured through the doorway as Luther looked outside carefully, expecting retaliatory fire from somewhere, but none came. Luther doubted his men were being unprofessional and firing at no targets, but this seemed likely as he stepped outside in to the illuminated courtyard.

Wild shadows were being flung everywhere, and Luther looked both north and south, seeing slow, stumbling movements in both directions. A scream was coming from the north, where the shots must have come from, ”What the fuck! They aren’t going down!” Luther took a double take, was this a dream, or was he fighting some kind of new breed of soldier?

He allowed his attention to be taken by the southern soldier; he could see it slowly stumbling through a gap in the fence, supposedly in the arcs of the watchtower to the South. Luther shouted as he ran through the fence gap, pulling his MP40 tight in to his shoulder and slowing to a walk as he moved along the fence, body bent over slightly to minimise the target. He repeated the warnings of the northern soldiers, “Halt!” It seemed to have taken no notice, but Luther heard a scrambling noise from the guard tower where Leuders and Fischer seemed to have fallen asleep, they must have heard Luther and were adjusting aim on to the target.

Luther was getting close enough to see features on the advancing intruder, but the face looked unnatural, devoid of all expression as more rifles swung out from cover around the edge of the compound, holding fire until Luther gave the signal. But the intruder refused to stop, and Luther took executive action, not wanting to get any closer as a guttural moan emerged from the lips of the intruder. He heard shouts from the north again “we’ve shot them, they’re still coming!” Not wanting to take any chance, Luther ensured his sights were well over the head of the zombie before firing a double-tap, aiming dead centre at the head of the target. He followed with a second one to make sure the target went to the ground before retaking a leadership role.

“Leuders, Fischer, wake the fuck up!” Luther’s voice was full of anger, these were two professional soldiers, but they had just let an enemy wander in to the compound. “Lueders, raise that ladder, don’t let any of them in, Fischer, use your scope, look along the eastern perimeter, it’s our only blind spot.”

Luther found his MP40 straying back towards the prone corpse of the attacker, but he didn’t have chance to deal with it. There will still attackers to the north, but he knew McMillan was more than capable of dealing with it. There was the disturbing thought that enemies could still be patrolling the outside of the fence. He called to the two soldiers taking cover in the prison block, ”Blau, Krause, keep an eye on that breach for now, and look west. Shout out if anybody is approaching us.”

Keeping one eye on the corpse, he ran towards where he knew a blind spot was the eastern side of the compound. Called out orders as he moved past Gielnik, “get out here, cover the northern entrance, you’ve got guys watching your arse.” Luther continued moving towards the Southern barracks. “Müller, Becker, come with me, we’re checking the fence.”

The two Corporal’s ran out of the building, falling in behind Luther as he worked along the eastern fence. Becker shouted out as he saw movement, “target left!” He pulled his 98k in to his shoulder, and quickly aimed at the head of the target, Luther and Müller aiming at the same target to make sure it went down. They made sure the target went down before they carried on, following the fence north towards the sound of gunfire.

*** NEW HORDE MAP ***

• SS-Sturmscharführer W. Luther moved out of the POW barracks and through the open fence’s gate, approaching the infiltrator to the south of the compound. The intruder paid no attention the warnings given and continued to move inwards slowly, causing eerie groans from the back of it’s throat the whole time.
  
  Firing a short burst from his MP40, SS-Sturmscharführer W. Luther’s bullets whipped through the torso of the staggering American soldier and didn’t even make him flinch. A second short volley of fire was produced and the American intruder fell upon it’s knees, before slumping forward into the dirt. Several apparent exit wounds were scattered across the back of the intruder in the shape of large gorged holes.
  
  
• Leuders, Fischer in the guard-tower awoke briefly before the MP40 had opened fire. Completely distracted by what was happening to the north of the compound, they swallowed their pride and kept their eyes peeled towards the south this time.
  
  Upon hearing the orders to raise the ladder, Leuders left his MG post and went to the rear of the tower to try and see what could be done with the ladder. Kneeling down, he inspected it and found it had been bolted into the framework of the tower: the ladder cannot be raised. Returning to his post quickly, he was unable to tell the SS-Sturmscharführer whom had moved away already.
  
  
• The two Corporals at the main entrance continued to fire sporadic rounds at the advancing American soldiers. Their K98 rifle rounds blew chunks through their intruder’s bodies, until Engineer Tilebein crept from out of cover and sprayed several short bursts from a whole magazine of his MP40 towards the ever growing closer enemies.
  
  The closest American intruder let out a curdling moan, before three spraying bullets ripped through it’s skull and blew half it’s head off, knocking it down flat. The fellow two American intruders continued to stumble ever closer.
  
  
• Private Kursch could barely see out of the barred barrack’s window and yelled in agitation as one of the zombies made it through the broken fence. Popping off a round form his K98 rifle, he missed completely, due to the awkwardness of shooting from such a small opening.
  
  
• SS-Sturmscharführer W. Luther and two men advanced to the back of the compound in fear they were being outflanked due to their blind-spot. Upon reaching the fence, they saw nothing, until one of the men see something further down the fence; due to Private Kursch’s cries for help, they didn’t know whether to pursue the enemy or go in aid of the private.
  
  Picking the latter, they began moving up towards the first POW barracks to aid their comrade.
  
  
• Leuders, Fischer noticed a moving figure along the south of the fence (the one Luther and co’ went to eradicate) and prepared to engage, until Leuders shrieked in shock, pointing towards the undead American soldier previously shot by SS-Sturmscharführer W. Luther, climbing to his feet once more.
  
  Aiming the MG42 downwards, Leuders ripped several 7.92x57mm rounds into the intruder and watched in awe as the American soldier hit the ground hard. Keeping both their iron sights on the target (now distracted from dealing with the southern zombie on the perimeter) they waited patiently to see whether it would rise again.
  

Notes:
I’ve decided to give both Luther and McMillan stamina gauges, due the heavy equipment they are carrying and arduous tasks performed. The certifications give you both stamina boosts, so your longevity with performing tasks has been and will be taken into account: however, you both will be exhausted quicker with the heavy equipment carried. Bare this in mind, low stamina also effects your performance with both close quarter combat and accuracy.

All dead zombies will be removed from the map completely. Undead zombies will be displayed on the map at all times; even if you think you have killed one for good.

OOC: Stamina gauges...well that changes things a bit.

IC: McMillan shook his head slightly at the smell looming through the air of the room, but he didn't have much time to think on it as gunfire erupted outside. What the hell is going on out there?! Ran through his mind as he turned to the men inside. "Stay here and keep your eyes outside. Consider anyone outside hostile!" McMillan made his way to the door and stepped outside. The men on the northern fence were firing a few rounds to the north. Ed took a look and saw their targets. "Odd plan of attack." He mumbled to himself. A second later Luther came out shouting to the men in the tower, when Edward looked to the south he could see why. They had let what seemed to be an American soldier walk right through the gate. Before Ed could react Luther put him in the dirt. Come one guys, get your heads on straight! He thought as he walked the few remaining steps to the pair of Corporals at the main gate. "Give me some information!" He ordered to the pair.

"Sir We have enemy troops in the open! But they won't die!"[/i] One of them replied in between rounds. "I hit him twice, center mass! I know I did! He didn't even flinch!" The Corporal sounded a bit confused as he lined his rifle up for another shot.

McMillan looked out to the slowly advancing enemy soldiers. "You're doing a great job Corporal, just keep doing your job and we'll be fine!" He said to the man to try and calm his nerves a bit. Ed looked over to the hole in the fence where they had entered the compound, one of the enemy troops was walking right through. Then Ed noticed the shot from only a few feet away from him from inside of the barracks. Complete miss. Ed raised his assault rifle and took a few steps toward the interior fence. He pinned his sights into the man's chest but he didn't pull the trigger. His sights were sitting on top of fresh bullet holes. Bigger bullet! He thought as he let his Stg-45 dangle from it's sling across his chest and reached under his left arm to grasp the PTRS-41 by the fore grip and pull it around his body. While he was maneuvering the weapon into a firing position he called out. "Private, get your act together!"

The Private was chambering another round then stepped to the doorway. "Sir, I can't see through those small windows!"[/i] He replied.

"Then get out of there! Move down to HQ and tell Geilnik to get his machine gun outside of those doors, he is in a great fall-back position, but we need his firepower outside! Then move over here with us and help us repel the enemy forces!" McMillan ordered as he leveled his rifle off and placed his sights right where the enemy's color bones met. "To the north! Take that man DOWN!" Ed screamed then turned over his other shoulder. "Luther! I can handle the north since I'm already here!" Ed loudly relayed to his superior. With a bit of a squeeze he fired off a round at his target.

• The two corporals at the main entrance adhered to the word of SS-Sturmscharführer E. McMillan and continued to boast shots from their K98 rifles. Spurred on and crack shots with the K98 rifle, they lined up more accurate shots for the head (seeing as general body shots had no effect) and within a split second, both men fired simultaneously, bludgeoning a pulp of brain-matter several foot from out the back of the American intruder’s skull from two accurate rifle shots hitting dead-pan on target.
  
  The American intruder fell lifelessly to the ground and sported a double roll down a small uneven patch of land, before coming to a rest. The body was tattered with a dozen bullet holes and lack of a skull; the smell was horrendous, never mind the sight.
  
  
• Swinging the PTRS-41 around from his back (a little awkwardly to begin with), SS-Sturmscharführer E. McMillan took a extra several seconds to grip the weapon properly, from a slight complication with the straps catching one another across his back and aimed the AT-Rifle square from the chest towards the forthcoming slow target.
  
  Taking the full brunt of the PTRS’s weight at shoulder-length for a moment, SS-Sturmscharführer E. McMillan trembled ever so lightly at the forearms and upon pulling the trigger, he had to level out his back foot to keep himself on balance, as the weapon jerked upwards and kicked into his shoulder, causing a minor bruising to occur. (*Hint* Although firing the weapon from the mid-rift/waist may be slightly more inaccurate, you will avoid damaging yourself from the kick-back and be able to reload more swiftly, opposed to holding the weapon like a standard rifle).
  
  A spark flew from the inner-fence as the heavy calibre round punched through and directly on target, the PTRS-round blew a sizeable hole through the American intruder’s shoulder and throat. Almost completely decapitating the American’s left arm from the shoulder and almost completely decapitating the American’s head from the neck; the body was left looking mangled from the single AT round, as it fell limp within it’s place.
  
  Although the body wasn’t moving, the American’s eyes slithered from left to right as it’s half decapitated head continued to show life, but it’s motoring abilities were kaput.
  ~ This zombie is technically immobile, but still alive and poses little threat.
  
  
• Fischer lined up his scope in the guard-tower and aimed down the perimeter fencing towards the lonesome target headed towards their position - slowly. It was like shooting fish in a barrel for Fischer, as he inhaled, held his breath, squared up the reticule of the scope and gripped tightly as he squeezed the trigger.
  
  The American fell to the ground instantly as the bullet impacted a direct headshot through the forehead. Fischer grinned and continued to observe the perimeter, leaving Leuders to observe with the MG42 towards more closer prospects.
  

*** THE SECOND HORDE WAVE ATTACKS! ***

Stumbling out of the brush once more, the ever louder groaning and moaning chimes of the undead descend upon the encampment like eerie shivers up the spine. The encampment was covered in darkness, with the faint glimmer of the moonlight showing the way. Within the distance, more bodied silhouettes began to appear and the noise of shuffling feet echoed from all around the compound.

• Immediately, Engineer Tilebein was the first to spot one of the bodied American figures approaching the encampment. “I see another!” he cried out, changing the empty magazine of his MP40 and taking aim. Shooting a small burst, he knocked the approaching figure backwards a couple of steps and waited for the Corporals to help make more accurate shots from their K98s.
  
  
• Fischer could hear moaning coming from close-by from the guard-tower, but neither men could see where it was coming from, as the unsuspecting American dressed intruder crawled through the low-cut foliage behind their position roughly. With no legs, it had no choice but to crawl, but didn’t make it any the less dangerous.
  

Notes:
The stamina bar has been presented as a display representation of how much energy you’ve consumed and currently have left at the end of the actions performed. It in no way, has changed how much you can or can’t perform, but rather shows a displayed total amount of energy left over. You’re better off being able to see the amount of energy you have, rather than me modding you’re exhausted and unable to fend for yourself - right?

The reason I’ve decided to show the stamina bar, is because I performed some calculations and you’re both carrying a lot of bonus weight, so this may help to explain why you may become exhausted quick during some intervals. Here’s the tally for your consumption:

Edward McMillan:
- PTRS-41: 20.3 kg (46 lbs)
- STG45: 4 kg (8.8 lbs)
= 54.8 lbs (excluding normal infantryman gear AND ammunition/PTRS ammo’)

William Luther:
- Panzerschreck: 24.2 lbs
- MP40: 4 kg (8.82 lb)
- x1 Rocket: 6.6 lbs // x3 Rockets: 19.8 lbs
= 52.82 lbs (excluding normal infantryman gear AND ammunition)

[William Luther]

The curdling moans of the intruders were enough to send the shivers down the back of even the most hardened soldiers, and Luther felt there was something strangely unearthly about the targets he was dispatching. Heading along the eastern fence, Luther could hear the moans and groans, but could not see anything. Cries for help from north caused Luther an the two Corporals accompanying him to break in to a run, getting down to the end of the compound as fast as possible.
As they approached the last building, a heavy shot shattered the air, and Luther knew that McMillan had just fired his PTRS-41 anti-tank gun. Before emerging round the corner, Luther gave a shout of “don’t shoot.” Luther could see the corpse of the attacker, or at least what was left around the hole McMillan had made. A low growling sound emerged from it, taunting, and Luther did not believe that it could still make noise. He slowly approached; MP40 shouldered aiming at the head, the source of the noise. It was not moving much, so Luther got close enough to where he could not miss – and could not mistake the sound – and fired two shots directly in to the head of the target, where he knew the brain should be.
“These… things,” he said, quietly at first, but then finding his voice as the shock wore off “they aren’t dying easily. All of you, aim for the head, destroy the brain, remove the head. That seems to work.” He shuffled his shoulders under the weight of the Panzerschreck, deciding that he had to take it off soon; it didn’t seem to have much use yet.
Luther heard a shout from the south now that he had stopped, saying that the ladder could not be removed. He bit his lip for a second, before resuming command. “McMillan, I need you to escort Tilebein to the South tower. Tilebein, I need you to take that ladder down for us. I’m sure you’ll have sufficient tools.” He nodded to himself, before addressing the two Rottenfuhrer’s with him. ”Muller, Becker, head back along the fence line. Watch each other’s backs, and look for any attackers stuck there.”
Tilebein’s MP40 would be missed on the line, and Luther stepped up, taking a position by the barrier, dropping to one knee and propping the barrel of his MP40 on the edge of the barrier. Either side of him, he heard slow, deliberate Mauser fire. However, with the night around them, it was hard to get good targets. Luther balanced his options, before reaching down to his side, and drawing a flare gun. He thumbed the hammer, before raising his arm vertical, checking nothing was in his line of fire. “Flare going up!” he screamed, as he pulled the trigger, letting a bright, white magnesium flare soar in to the air above them, where it would burn happily for several minutes. He had a final thought before he prepared to fire, “McMillan, can you take my Panzerschreck and place it in our headquarters. I don’t need it yet.” He unslung it, and placed it invitingly on the ground behind him.
With the new light, it was easy to spot the zombies approaching from the north, and Luther took his time levelling a target. He breathed in and out slowly, levelling his MP40 which was much easier with it propped on the barrier, and lined up with an attacker’s head. They were much slower than targets he was accustomed to, and therefore much easier to shoot. He breathed in, and then slowly exhaled, holding it halfway out, and squeezed the trigger, feeling the report of three rounds before releasing the trigger.
It was a process he was ready to repeat, looking around fully to ensure they weren’t being flanked, before retargeting the zombie, making sure it had gone to ground. If it was still stumbling, he would line up more shots at its head, if it was dead, then that just meant more targets for him to take out.

• Approaching the decapitated zombie on the ground, SS-Sturmscharführer Luther fired two successive rounds into the skull of the undead American patriot, splattering blood and brain outwards from the imploded skull.
  
  
• Addressing orders to SS-Sturmscharführer McMillan and Engineer Tilebein, they heard what was required of them and readied to move south (or not? The actions must be performed by you Edward).
  
  
• Shooting a flare skywards, a white ball of light illuminated the sky with a dazzling shimmer. The flare gave an additional 50% accuracy to all units within the compound and the flare will remain burning for the next three posts (not rounds).
  
  
• Removing the Panzershreck, SS-Sturmscharführer Luther has removed a good bulk of additional weight and will recover energy slightly more faster than previously and will also be able to exert more energy without becoming fatigued suddenly. You do however, still carry extra additional weight, but the main bulk has been removed - for now.
  
  
• The two corporals at the main gate shouldered their rifles once more and with the light of the flare above, picked their targets far quicker than attempting to see through the blanket of darkness. One of the corporals sprung an instant shot from his K98 rifle and beat SS-Sturmscharführer Luther to the target, instantly killing the approaching zombie with a direct headshot.
  
  - Unfortunately, the two corporals and SS-Sturmscharführer Luther were unable to get an appropriate sight on any of the other zombies north of the main-gate this round.
  
  
• Corporal Muller & Becker meanwhile, followed the perimeter of the fence back around the way they came and totted their K98 rifles with a guarded stance, swinging their iron sights around each blind corner they passed with an allure of experience of their stride.
  
  Spotting the outline of somebody to the southern fence, they took immediate firing positions and rang off sporadic - yet accurate - shots towards the moving target on the opposite side of the fence. One round definitely hit the target and sent it reeling backwards, but the rest of the shots either passed through the target or missed by a small margin, as sparks flew from the interior of the fence, perhaps ricocheting off course?
  
  The figure on the other side of the fence continued to wobble onwards, but the two Corporals reloaded and attempted to follow.
  
  
• Fischer & Lueders continued to try and see who was beneath their watch tower and even with the flare above, failed to spot anything within the brush, particularly when shots rang out from down the fence in front of themselves. Lueders beat Fischer to the draw and sprayed the MG42 wildly downrange, cutting the intruder down, but didn’t kill it.

Edward jolted suddenly as his beast of a rifle spewed forth hot lead. Within a moment the creature was on the ground. A few seconds later Luther came from around the corner, Ed paused for a moment, thankful he hadn't waited longer to take the shot, his eyes finding it difficult to leave Luther. Then something really caught his attention, the same creature he had just about torn in half was now being targeted by William. Really? He's fucking dead man. he thought but noticed that the being's head was still moving around. A quick pull of the trigger from Luther ended what was left of it's existence. Ed wouldn't make the same mistake again, he was going for the head as well. "Spread the word! You have to hit them in the head!" McMillan couldn't understand what could possibly cause such resilience in something, but that was information he'd find answers too after everyone was safe and rested.

After receiving orders and the anti-tank weaponry from Luther Ed swiftly walked to the headquarters location and placed the AT weapon in the corner by the door, he didn't see the need in placing it too far back as firing it inside of a structure wasn't the smartest move anyway. After he was sure the weapon was secure he left the building and stopped off to see Geilnik who was setting up his MG-42 at the opening of the gates. "Geilnik, keep your sights focused on the northern fence, specifically right there at that corner..." McMillan told him as he pointed to the corner where he had just fired upon the enemy. "...Short bursts, we need accuracy, aim for the neck and the head, recoil will help if your bursts start a little low. I'll be just on the other side of you handling the southern sector. PRIVATE! GET OUT OF THE LINE OF FIRE!" McMillan offered before heading over to the building due west. "You two, get outside but stay near this door. We need to keep anyone from getting inside of our perimeter." He ordered. With a few short steps they were through the door and able to see what was unfolding.

"Tilebein, get to that tower and start working on the ladder as you were told, we will be able to cover you!" Edward said to the engineer. "Fischer! Lueders! You have to hit them in the head! Fischer take your time up there, they don't seem to be returning fire so don't rush your shots! Lueders see if you can hit them low, maybe slow them down a bit! The engineer is going to be removing the ladder from your tower, we don't want one of them sneaking up on your while you are engaging the rest and can't hear! We will cover your blind spot as best we can from down here! Focus on the ones you can hit and don't worry with the ones you can't, we will handle them! And for God sakes you two talk to each other up there, call your shots and let's start handling this threat more effectively!" Edward shouted to them so they could hear over the distance.

Edward too took up a position in the open courtyard area just as he noticed two more of his troops coming into view in the south. They appeared as they had just engaged an enemy creature as well. Edward surveyed the area in front of him and placed his PTRS-41 back on his back. Equipping his StG45, his shoulder was a bit numb from the last shot and figured he'd save it until he had to use it. McMillan took up a kneeling position and leveled his sights onto the slowly bobbing head of the creature to the southwest. With a slight squeeze of the trigger he fired off a round then let his sights come to rest back on the target if further attention was needed. Not a moment later Edward could here the distinct sound of Fischer's Gewehr 43 ring out.
