Right, it looks as though we have a strong Axis line-up and I didn't expect that. I thought there would be more Allies free from conflict. So we have Edward McMillan, Luther and Seejay rooting for the Axis. Allies have myself and Adam, whom I'm really not reassured about bringing into the battle since his lack of confidence in facing a tank...........
I would still like to keep this a 2 V 2, but at least there's plenty of options arising from people announcing their free characters. Right now, I'm personally happy to face anyone and by the looks of things, I'm going to be using Steven for this battle? I'm beginning to doubt there is even any other stronger Allied counterparts free and Steven isn't even amongst the pedigree Allied chumps.

Cry me a river. As soon as someone says "Tank" everyone cries and runs off to hide. Get a snickers and toughen up princess!! If the tank is Axis and the Allies don't want to take it on, I'll MAKE a new allied combat character and put him against it. BRING IT!!

I love your enthusiasm Seejay, but there's not an awful lot a fresh character could put up against a formidable tank and besides, you wanted to enter this battle with your axis character right?
I am... In all honesty... Very[/b] disappointed that a lot of Allied members have declined this battle at the mere mention of a tank being involved and those who have "reluctantly" accepted to entering this battle, did decline prior and that doesn't show much grit in my opinion.
The map is large, perhaps not huge, but it's large and bringing any sort of vehicle into this theater isn't completely ideal. You have a vast uneven terrain and mountain. The length of the map is quite large and I've purposely incorporated openings on all the flanks of the map, so it's not a bottleneck battle, but rather a very open and tactical map to try and cover. I don't think any side will be able to hold one end of the map constantly, but rather would have to move around the map to be secure.
I'm not relishing about going up against a tank, but c'mon, it doesn't take a tank to defeat a tank and it's not as if I'm pissing in the wind on this occasion that I couldn't supply the needs to put up a reasonable fight against one. Like I said, just disappointed, but I don't blame you guys either.
Right now I'm viewing this battle from a Steven Vs Luther and Seejay perspective. I could be mad, but I haven't made my mind up completely just yet.

And the madness spreads. Yes I only have an Axis character available at the moment, but if needed, I can make an Allied one and give him some troops, my other allied character has some CP I could pass on... But, a battle of Steven and Mark vs Luther and Jace sounds like it could be fun too...

If Allied characters are still needed, my character's free. I could probably scrounge up enough CP for some mines or a bazooka man after I finish off some of my threads.

I would just like to thank everyone who volunteered for this battle (both Allied and Axis counterparts) who have given me the option to change the dynamics of a small skirmish battle I initially had in mind, to something more grandeur and exciting.
The final tally stands as Steven & Mark VS Luther & Jasc
The unit numbers are yet to be set in stone, but at least we've clarified there's going to be a tank in the battle. If you wouldn't mind letting me know, Nathan, as to how many units you're willing to throw into this battle, then we can negotiate a middle. I understand you're bringing a tank, so don't give me the wind-full on a ton of infantry either. Just a rough estimate of what you'd like to bring to the battle and we'll mark a middle.
The reason why I'm giving you the chance to offer a bid on the infantry limit you'd like to bring, is because I feel that epic battles never have set limits and I hope this proves to be an explosive battle for 2011. To be reasonable on the other hand, try and keep a realistic number, because I'm not filthy rich and besides, your infantry cert could probably weigh up a nice sum in power already.
With that said, this battle should be starting soon. This isn't the official battle thread, just a premeditated negotiation thread.
