Country: Germany, Outer Hamburg
Current Time: 10:00, early spring.
Weather Conditions: A cold, dark evening with few thunderstorms.
The cold floor sent shivers up Freidrichs feet. He was in the hospital for rehabilitation for his leg that had been wounded about two weeks ago. He could still remember his time with the enemy as a very unpleasant one. With every step came a new blow and every fall came a yelling voice in his ear or the butt of a rifle greeting his face. His feelings towards the Americans used to be one of neutrality, now that he saw their true nature, he started to understand why it was his duty to feel a disliking towards this people. He kept his mind to himself because he had sent for someone who didn't need to hear things of hatred right now.
As Freidrich walked down the corridor with a very light limp the surgeon spoke to him. "It is a remarkable recovery Stabsgefreiter. It is healing faster than I had anticipated." He said with the kind of excitement a child would have. "Thank you for your help Doctor Treffer." Freidrich said as he lowered himself onto a nearby seat. He picked up two crutches that were leaned beside the chair and stood back up.
"Alright, Freidrich. If you could come back here in three days that would be good." the Doctor said. "I will Doctor Treffer." Freidirch said as he moved towards the room he was just in to get out of his medical gown and into his nice, clean uniform. Once he was finished he hobbled to the front room, where he sat and waited for his young friend to be shown in by an S.S. man that Freidrich had known since his first day in the military. Freidrich thought over words he could say to Wolfrick, but couldn't think of any.
