Hey all,
Firstly, I wanted to write it here - I have work experience next week at a theatre so won't be online for three days and then the week after that I am helping at an outdoor theatre production and then going to my dreaded gran's house the following week (No.....)
And also, looking ahead to the next academic year (well for me at least - British kid), I am starting a new school and have got my AS/A2 Levels over the next two years - big exams - so won't be able to rp much probably from September, maybe October and then not until December as will be so busy. But I haven't got there yet so don't know, just wanted to let you guys know just in case - I won't be gone for ever and I don't want to stop the amazing storylines and epic people that I've met online here!
This site has really helped in my love for history and is one of the reasons why I am doing history next year - NAZIS, CHURCHILL ETC - so you all do mean a lot. Also this site has helped me with my writing, and is a reason why I am doing English next year as well! You never know, one day when I'm in the theatre/film industry I might make a film/play about some of the characters and storylines here! Full credit of course to all involved!
But I am not going for ever, and its not for a long time and I may not be as busy as first thought but just wanted to let you know in advance!
Cheers y'all;
Kitty xxxx

Wow, Kitty....
First of all, English is a definite YES for theatre. The literary study portion, in my opinion and experience, will be very useful for your own scriptwriting. By learning about the flaws and the triumphs of literature past and present, you will better strengthen your own skills. The fact you're also learning hands-on is a great asset to what you want to do; should you write a play, you'll have experience with the actual process, so you'll know what you can and cannot do.
Second, if you're taking history, make sure to branch out as much as possible. WWII is cool and all that, but it's always good to look at the factors leading up, and the factors that lead up to those factors. There are many, many moments in history shirked for a more-used setting, so you can use that to your advantage in finding something fresh and new for the theatre-goers.

All of the most important things have been said, but hopefully you won't find your schedule too busy to come and RP with us every now and then, or at least to say hi. Sounds like you'll be doing a lot of cool stuff, but of course, we'll miss you when you're gone.
But yesh, good luck with all the things you're setting out to do, you know we lubs ya.

Indeed you will be missed Kitty. Sounds like quite a lot of important things to be handling (being a "Yank" I'm not entirely sure the grandure of AS/A2) But I'm sure you will do splendidly. Hope you still have time to say hi every once in a while like Dieter said. And I'd buy tickets to a show you wrote...if I were in England at the time that is.
