Notes: Just a small, squad battle. The Allies are assaulting the Mareth line, a string of French forts in Tunisia.
- The gray mass that looks like a fort, is a fort. Parts of the walls have been broken by a preparatory artillery barrage a few hours before. Three walls have staircases leading up to the battlements, and each tower, and the barracks, has a ladder (brown square) in the center leading to its battlements.
- The walls are 8 feet high, and the towers 10'. Not too big, but enough to be a problem for the attacker.
- Ridges are marked by black lines. The smaller lines shooting off indicate the lower side of the ridge.
- Puke brown circles are the impact craters from the aforementioned artillery. Only about a foot and half deep at the very center.
- The staircase in the building in the south-east corner leads to a second floor as well as the roof. The roof has a small parapet only a few inches high. The building's roof is almost on level with the walls of the fort, a little lower.
