Civilization 4

Hey everyone. I was just wondering, has anyone played Civilization 4? I brought it up and the chat box, and was wondering if anyone played it? If you have, do you have any war stories or anything? Maybe a funny glitch or two?

I *had the game and it was quite fun. I don't remember it fully, but it was fun game. Use to play it with a few friends of mine that I've played other games with from time time. A few war stories you ask for?

Well, the first time I was playing it, I played online with a few of said friends with everyone in Teamspeak (Voice chat program). Two of the guys playing were new.

My civilization spawned on an island with one computer. I found said computer's capital with one of my scouts and asked in teamspeak, "I found a computer's capital? Should I attack!?!?!?"

To which everyone responded with "No!". So I said "F*** it." and gladly attacked blindly. Needless to say, I lost the battle and made the computer hostile to me. A while later, I was doing relatively well and never returned to that area of the island. About halfway through the game, teamspeak was filled with me saying, "OH SH**! SHE CAME FOR ME! OH MY GOD! THEY'RE EVERYWHERE!!!! SOMEONE HELP!" Needless to say, I died. ;D

And the other new player in the game built like 20 cities when everyone else had about 7. He died a slower, less painful, and poverty-stricken death. T'was a good night.


* Previously owned the game, but currently has no idea where it has gone. Sad.

LOL that's one of the funniest war stories I've ever heard. I haven't played for a bit, but I discovered the Manhattan Project, and got IMBC Rockets, and hit a city that was giving me some "borderal issues". I haven't seen what it did yet though.

Nope? Civilization 4 is simply... Civilization 4.

Civilization Revolution is a Civ game made for the consoles and handhelds.

Ah, well, um, all I know is in Civ. Rev, I owned Russia with the Nuke. ICBMS FTW!

Trying to bring this thread back to life, but Im going to try something I haven't done - Actually map out a good plan. In game, I will try to get it to take years (Probley about a few days IRL) That way, it is planned, I have soldiers ready, and I have a good backup strategy.
