I own 2 Mosin-Nagants, and a Lee-Enfield. Waiting to get an M1 Garand, but as you may well know, they can run as high as 1 grand for a WW2-era one. The Mosins are loud beasts that are a true joy to fire, but my pride and joy would be my Enfield- Gift from a dying grandfather, has a lot of value to me...

*drools* quite possibly my favorite topic to talk about
I own a competition style Ruger .22LR...only because ammo is cheap to have fun with, personally I think it's a waste otherwise.
I own a Bushmaster Carbon 14 chambered in NATO 5.56, only reason I purchased it is because they listed the price incorrectly and I couldn't pass up the great deal, again I prefer larger calibers. I'll soon be adding a holographic onto the rail mounts...heven't picked on out yet.
I have a little POS breech loading 20 gauge, again just for fun.
I also own a CZ 75B...oddly enough a bit too rare for my area even though there is nothing special about it, but getting extra mags is a pain. It's chambered in .40...when I bought it I was under the impression you could obtain extended mags for it...still one of my biggest regrets.
My baby, her name is "Angel", my Para-Ordnance P14-45, it's a high cap 1911 at 14+1 of .45 ACP...she is so purdy best example of it is in the movie "Hitman" Timothy Olyphants character carries a pair of them...smart move in my eyes
My duty weapon is a Glock 23, another .40 and why the heck they decided to have us carry the mid sized version over the full sized version is beyond me...my boss and I had a heated "conversation" over that when he picked them out...then when they came in he realized I actually knew WTF I was talking about, but it was too late by then

Yeah, when humankind turns inward on itself altogether I'll have more firepower than most in turn becoming the leader of some faction of misfits which I will lead and grow into one hellaciously feared fighting force and rule all

Oh Edward perhaps you can help me out with this, you seem a little more experienced.
My Remington M770 shoots the .30-06 Springfield, but the ammunition I picked up won't load.
It's Federal Premium .30-06 Springfield with a Nosler Ballistic Tip. I can't get it to chamber at all, and placing the bullet face down on the muzzle shows it's too wide, by fractions of an inch, to fit, obviously showing why it won't chamber.
Is it possible that I picked up a wrong type of bullet or is there a set standard for .30-06 and my barrel just may not have been bored out completely?

To the best of my knowledge, all 30-06 ammunition is the same width...otherwise it would be called by a different numerical value, there are different variants like your balistic tip, FMJs, JHPs and what have you...but there is a chance that your rifle isn't a 30-06, that is the only thing that comes to mind...unless they have released a magnum version of the round that I am unaware of that may be causing your extractor and bolt to grip the casing properly as the diameter of the casing would have increased. If they have released a magnum then scratch my earlier statement of getting a 7mm short mag, I've wanted a 30-06 for the longest but the 7mm has a much higher velocity which is why I wanted it over the 30-06...but that isn't the topic at hand, sorry. Only thing I can think of is to check your ammo to make sure it is normal 30-06 and to chack the caliber marked on your weapon, beyond that I'm stumped without actually being able to put my eyes on it

Thanks, I actually think I figured out the issue. I'm able to chamber it just fine now, turns out the bullet is not suppose to fit all the way in if you place it in through the muzzle of the bore. I never knew this. So that's why it looked so funny to me.

Oh boy look what Adam found
Well I hunt a lot so I have quite a few guns in my possession(Well Joint with my Father)
I have My favorite Whitetail Rifle and the is my Winchester model 70 .270. Wooden stock, 5 Round standard, bolt action, and it's left handed Edition (Yes I payed extra for that, I can shoot both ways but better lefty )
I have a two guns for Thunder chickens but I love my Mossberg. 12 Gauge 2-3/4 - 3 1/2 Turkey gun Tactical Edition(That means it has a hand and a few other goodies, not to say it is lighter also.) Once again, Left handed edition, Synthetic stock with 3d Camo, pump action, Custom adjustable Rifle Sights (Amazing compared to a bead) 5 shot.
I have a Ruger 22LR/20 Gauge shot gun/rifle. It is a single shot but the barrel switches into a rifle or a shot gun. Not the best gun but it was cheap and is fun to bring out on targets. Synthetic stock, 2 3/4 Shot gun shell, 22LR Rim fire shot. Hammer cock back style.
One last on worth talking about and that is my muzzle loader. I simply love this thing and can only use it for one week in hunting season. How upsetting. Thompson Center Impact .50 Caliber Muzzle loader. I can honestly use this in any setting, Dense woods or an open field even a swamp (Trust me I've tried). Break open styled hood, Adjustable butt stock, Fiber optic sights, 26" Barrel, 1:28 rifling.
So those are my favorite guns. If i said my father's and Grandfather's guns I'd honestly be here all day. So those are the ones I use.
