Character History: Amsel was born in Leipzig on January 3rd, 1922. As a child he had taken an interest of how objects worked (Engines, simple toys, etc.). He quickly excelled in science and mathematics and later went on to learn how to fly. He graduated top of his class and later put in an application to join the german airforce.


Military Rank: Rank does not matter so long as I may pilot any plane.

Writing Sample:
Scenario: You’re alone in enemy air space. Your wingman has been shot down, and you have a feeling that an enemy plane is stalking you. What does your charachter do, what does he feel? What is he thinking?

After his wingman was shot down, Amsel quickly turned out of the fight and headed towards the airbase. He quickly rolls left to check below and looks up. He then turns in the direction of the airbase again, looping back every 10 minutes to check if an enemy plane is stalking him. He starts to think about his wingman, the guy was almost as close as family and now he's gone. Amsel starts to keep a watchful eye as he heads towards friendly airspace, he's managed to stay out of sight of an enemy bomber wing with escorts. After making it back into friendly airspace, Amsel joins up with a few scout wings and heads towards base.

Hi Amsel.

To fly planes, you have to be Senior Sergeant or Officer, and and this app just won't reach it. This is mainly because a minimum Private application needs to be 15 lines for the bio and 15 for the sample. It wouldn't help to use capital letters for proper nouns, either (ie German Air Force, Luftwaffe).

Dan has made the exception that lower ranks will be able to pilot as well, to bend reality to see more pilots in the air I suppose.

But yes Amsel, this won't even reach the minimum requirements. Sorry to say you will need to redo it and make sure both the history and sample are at least 15 lines to be considered for Pvt.
