Just a note: You have to apply to the SS and it's up to the commander of the SS to decide if you get in.
Also, I didn't feel your application was long or detailed enough for the rank you asked for. Instead, I've decided to give the the rank of Oberstabsfeldwebel.

Name: Francis Albrecht

What Army will Your Character Serve Beneath?
Nazi Germany
Character History:
Francis was born in Summerau, Austria. His father Marcus was a Professor, his mother a school teacher. As a young boy he dreamed of becomming a historian/professor at a university in America.
Francis worked hard in school to become closer to his goals. On the morning of January, 30 1933, President Hindenburg's office, Adolf Hitler was sworn in as Chancellor of Germany during what some observers later described as a brief and simple ceremony. The Nazis' seizure of power continued.
Austria was annexed to the German Third Reich on 12 March 1938. There had been several years of pressure from Germany and there were many supporters within Austria itself. Francis was a supporter of the Anschluss (annexation), he was impressed by the powerful look of the German forces streaming into his country. Many people he knew enlisted, a unit called the Allgemeine SS. Francis Albrecht was inducted into the SS-Totenkopfverbände as a Hauptscharführer, his school transcripts were in order, his service record in the Allgemeine was outstanding.
During 1939 Hauptscharführer Francis Albrecht had been posted in the Warsaw area as a Head Squad Leader. He did not fight in the actual battle, his unit entered the city after it was in German control. During his stay in Poland his unit carried out many un-conventional acts against the Jewish population, October 16, 1940 jews were moved into the Ghetto. At this time, the population in the Ghetto was estimated to be 400,000 people, about 30 percent of the population of Warsaw. However, the size of the Ghetto was about 2.4 of the size of Warsaw it'self.
A year later in 1941, Albrecht was promoted to Untersturmführer for his loyalty and service during wartime. Francis soon after requested a transfer to a combat unit when an order he was given had been refused and nearly resulted in a court martial. A Sicherheitsdienst Captian (SD) had ordered him to shoot another jew during a night raid in the ghetto, when he refused the officer threw a tantrum and demanded to know the reason why? Francis simply said he had enough, he could no longer carry out his present dutys due to the nature of them. He had shot many on others command, never on his own will. This time he made a stand, refusing the order. The court martial was thrown out because it was known to high command the effect the mass killings had on young soldiers in the field.
Untersturmführer Francis Albrecht was transfered to the 3. SS-Panzergrenadier Division Totenkopf. Totenkopf was held in reserve during the assault into France and the Low Countries in May 1940. They saw battle on the 16th of May to the Front in Belgium. The men fought fanatically, suffering heavy losses. The SS unit killed 97 out of 99 British officers and men who had surrendered after the battle. Francis saw alot of action in France, his unit suffering heavy losses during the campaign. At it's close they were stationed near the Spanish border. In April 1941, the division was ordered East and was tasked with advancing on Leningrad being the northern wing of Operation Barbarossa. Albrecht faught in Lithuania and Latvia aswell. The Division was encircled for several months near Demjansk what would come to be known as the Demjansk Pocket. Francis was wounded in Demjansk, a tank took out a building causing the rubble to nearly kill him when it tumbled. He had broken a rib and his leg had been busted, this resulted in a transfer back to France.
