Support Staff: Live Mod-Tests
Alrighty, I'm looking for some volunteers to participate in some live mod-tests. This hasn't been done before, as the tests have naturally been written based, with old selected battle threads where the trainees have been asked to write their own version of a mod-mark for the actions performed; although the examples used were wisely picked, where myself or another moderator could've have possibly done things differently.
So they couldn't just look at the mod-mark made and re-write it within their own words, so to speak.
Anyhow, these live mod tests should make the experience of taking the test more fun and a lot more realistic. For those who volunteer, it doesn't matter if you're a POW, machinery or even units you have. All that matters, is your rank and of course, your allegience (Axis/Allied).
Quick FAQ:
Will I lose anything in these battles?
- Nope, you won't lose a penny, that's including equipment and CP. At the end of the battle, you will be rewarded for taking part.
So I can be Rambo in these battles!?
- If I have the slightest feeling you're going to be pathetic and unrealistic during these battles, just to give our moderators aggravation or whatever; you will incur a penalty.
Depending upon the nature of how far you go, being a Rambo, just because you know you can't die or lose anything. It could range from a temp' ban, fixed CP charge or dismissal in rank/military. That could possibly kill your character's career.
Any volunteer in these battles must take it seriously and abide by the realism, as if they were acting everything out normally. You wouldn't strafe in front of gunfire, so don't do it in these battles either!
Ok, so like, you gonna' give us tanks and stuff?
- Possibly...
Whatever happens, you won't be using your own manpower or vehicles. Each battle for the support staff will be set up differently, but along the same boundries that each person is tested in certain areas. Whether that be mod-marking some MG-fire, grenade throws or even how well a medic would perform on the battlefield.
Each support-staff member will be undertaking a routine mod-mark upon these areas, assuming the units are used by the volunteers appropriately. However, each battle will be different to a degree, that one battle may obtain armoured vehicles, whilst another may obtain aerial hostility.
Each of the battles will be unique, regardless.
Can I call in my home-boys with the radioman?
- No, no-one else can enter these battles, but if you are provided with a radio-man, you request assistance of the following;
~ Artillery
~ Infantry Support
~ Aerial Support
~ Armoured Support
If your request is legit and the mod-marker allows such actions to go through on the radio, I will momentarily step-in to announce how many and what units will arrive on the battlefield. Then the mod-marker may take over again and moderate how and when they arrive on the map.
Does that make sense?
If you have any other questions, do ask.
Anyway, I'm looking for two sign-ups (one axis and one allied) for each person's battle. We're going to keep it simple, with a 1 vs. 1 situation, so overall, we'll be needing;
- 3 Allied volunteers
- 3 Axis volunteers
Should a support-staff member not wish to take this test, you may pullout.
So, anyone wish to give this a crack?
