Scenario:
Niegel was waiting in a bush with his sniper rifle when he heard a noise. He thought it was one of his men, he looked back and saw no one. he slowly crept his way down the line trying to see for any british, None. Niegel thought to himself "Damn it they must have retreated". Niegel saw a dead british man lying on the ground, he recognized him as Pvt. O'Malley. Suddenly Niegel heard some German being spoken. He quickly dropped ot the ground and took some blood from where O'Malley was and applied it to the back and front of his chest where his heart would be located. He made it look as real as possible and quickly layed in a bush. The Germans came walking up the hill and looked for british. They saw O'Malley and knew he was dead. They looked to Niegel's bush and saw his sleeve. They walked to the bush and checked Niegel. Niegel did not breath while the Germans were around. Niegel than knew he was no longer in British territory. The Germans thought Niegel was dead and walked off. Niegel breathed immeditaly after the Germans started down the hill. Niegel waited about ten minutes before moving. He than got up and slowly crept toward the area he and his fellow comrades had came from several hours before.
Niegel heard foot steps behind him. This scarred Niegel since it could be a German and the fact that he is all alone behind enemy lines. A German grabbed Niegel and tried to choke him. The German did not have a weapon with him it seemed. Niegel reached for his Knife he kept in his breast pocket. Once he pulled it out he stuck it in the Germans throat. The German let go of Niegels throat and screamed in pain. Germans that were rather close heard the screams and darted toward the noise. Niegel heard the Germans yell asking what is there. Niegel quickly concealed himself as well as he could in a near by bush. He looked to his right and there layed a dead comrade with a sten in his hands. Niegel took the Sten and waited for the Germans. Two Germans came running to the dead body of the German. They saw the knife and knew right away that a Brit was nearby. Niegel popped out of his hiding place and emptied what was left of the clip into both Germans chest's. The Germans died immediatly because they were hit in the heart.
Niegel started running and tripped. The sten flew out of his hands. When he went to stand up a German kicked him back down. When he looked up there was three Germans standing there. two had mp 40s and one had a walther p38. "Fuck you jerries!" Niegel yelled to the Germans. One German aimed the walther p38 toward Niegels head. Right when he was about to shoot the three Germans were gunned down. Niegel listened to the gun shots. Two of the Germans died immeditaly. "A Bren???!?!" Niegel said. Suddenly the third German sat up holding his stomach with one hand and aimed his walther p38 at the coming british. Another three shots were fired. Two shots hit the Germans chest, and the last shot hit him in the throat. It tore the Germans throat up. The German tried to scream but could not. The German quickly bled to death. Suddenly a corporal with a bren came to Niegel and helped him up. "That Jerry nearly got ya sir!" shouted the corporal. "thanks for saving my arse mate" Niegel said to the coporal. Niegel than recognized the Corporal. " Corporal Collins!, bout time i see a man i know. Now get me back to our lines" Niegel exclaimed. The Corporal nodded and took Niegel back to the british defensive lines.
Once back into british territory Niegel visited the Batt. HQ. A Colonel offered him a nice cup of coffee and explained a new plan to strike back at the Germans. After leaving the Batt. HQ, Niegel went to the nearest bed he found and immediatly went to sleep. Niegel was waken by the sound of artillary fire. He quickly jumped to his feet. Suddenly a Motar hit near him luckly he was not injured but it did blow him off his feet. Niegel staggered to his feet and put on his helmet and grabbed his sniper rifle. He dashed west away from the artillary and motar fire. Niegel met up with a fellow soldier and was asked where to go. Niegel replied with "Anywhere but here soldier!". Niegel tried to find more soldiers and was lucky to find a couple here and there. Niegel dropped to his knees and prayed. Niegel only feared one thing, and that was being killed in action. After the motar and artillary fire stopped, Niegel and the rest of the battalion linked up and planned their assault.
