[Out-of-Date] The Issuing Orders Wiki

OK, ladies and gentlemen, as most of ye probably know I made an IO wiki (kind of like a whole Wikipedia website about Issuing Orders) at issuingorders.wikia.com/wiki/Issuing_Orders_Wiki and we just hit 101 articles! Eat that Encyclopedia Britannia!

However, it's pretty tricky to keep track of everything and making sure that all interesting (or just remotely relevant) stuff get a fair mention and an article to themselves. Recently, I've been making a lot of pages of NPC's, both actual military ones (Daniel Gunter, John Teal, Jack Diaz etc.) and non-usable (Jaggen, Wolfrick Wolfram, James Bevan, Marjolijn van de Vlakte etc.) because they're easy to make and whatnot.

But, my action plan is to get a page on EVERY single active member online, as well as a coupla notorious banned guys (Winters, Friedrich "Evil Strummy" von Namur) and the treasured inactive (D'Dario, Naga, Mattherson etc.)

So, post here with any requests for the Wiki, be it a page for your character if you don't already have one or just a miscelleaneous selection of a person or an item to join the wiki's ranks.

To all members with character pages; you are welcome to edit your character's article, as long as you only modify your character's history, or expand upon his background. Any untrue statements - for instance, David scribbling down that he "kicked Doc's brains out in Holding the Line - will be deleted.

Also, members may edit the pages of their NPC's - both military and non-usable. For instance, Wolfram may modify ickle Wolfrick's page but bay not dabble in, say, the article devoted to Jim Bevan. Any NPC characters created by you - Wolfram's Jaggen, my Bevan family, Doc's Marjolijn - may also be modified by you, if you so wish to expand their background or life in general.

I'd also like to thank Strumfelder and Dan for their invaluable help in making their wiki - particularly Strum.

Yeah, I havn't really done anything.

A: Fixing up James thing with say the British flag beside his nationality and etc.
B: Make Armin a page.

I did a bit of work on the weapons over the summer. It's good, though I think some more relevant articals need to be made before continuing on the nice short ones.

Anyway, Rhys can you clear this thread up a bit. I don't have the time and nearly a page is dedicated to your arguemnt with Tom.

I couldn't applaud you enough for creating such a fantastic idea on cataloging IO events.
From members, battles, weapons and even NPC characters randomly mentioned here and there.

My thanks goes to everyone on building the Wiki page, it really is interesting to read through some of the articles. Infact, I may devote a sub-board in the "Character Development Area" for the Issuing orders Wiki?

If you'd like Rhys - it is your page/website to commandeer. Wouldn't want to go putting more work on yourself or anyone else lending a hand.

But I'm sure people would like to be able to post somewhere, things that could be added or things they'd like added perhaps? Not just that, but it improves character development. You could even revert links from the wiki page, to here. So people understand your (Main) NPC characters more, such as the regular faces during battle, as well as past battles fought in or relationships sparked between other characters. The Wiki page pretty much records everything.

So what do you think? Worth having it's own area beneath the Character Development Area?

I heven't done a lot of research but I know both of my other guys have no page, no rush, I also know that Riley and Branigan don't have pages either.

The grudge match doesn't have a page but I don't know if you are wanting battles yet or not.

You know, that's actually a great idea. I'd love there to be a Wiki sub-board.

And, yeah, there are lots of pages unmade yet, or unedited to anything beyond the Character History section vaguley edited from your apps.

Patterson and Crimm are too coom soon, JT. I was looking up the "Most Wanted Pages" (the unmade pages with the most hyperlinks towards them) and Patterson was pretty high on the list. And believe you me, I'll be adding Grudge Match as soon as possible. I had a go a while back but the posts were so good and long and whatnot, I was pretty worried I'd miss something important out and get yelled at by you or Wolfram. It'll be a pretty time-consuming article, and I tend to stay away from those unless I have a lot of free time or the person in question asks nicely.

And sorry, Owen. My internet...what's the best way to describe it...popped a couple minutes later. Sorry. I'll try and sort it out tonight.

Recently I've been doing a lot of editing on the wiki. I'd love to do the Grudge Match article. I'll put it under construction and build upon it as I sift through the thread.
