Notes: The second battle of El Alamein just started a day ago.
After the bitter losses of the last summer, the British forces in North Africa are now trying to finally push back the German Afrika Korps.
The allies are assaulting a small hill, hold by the axis. After some hours of shelling the German positions with artillery, the British soldiers can’t imagine that there will be some German resistance left at all.
The allied forces start in the trench system in the east of the map, the axis on top of the hill, in the west. The hill is full of artillery crates of course. On the west side of the hill there is the ruin of an old goat stable. Because of the bombardment it is very instable and may collapse completely during the battle. The light grey circles are bigger rocks and provide good cover. They’re always about 1 metre tall.
Because of the heavy rain, the earth is quite groundless and only the marked ways on the hill are dry enough to climb up without any danger.
