Artillery Certifications & Units
[/b][/center]So, you can buy Comms Officers or earn the Radio-Operator rights through qualifying for a certificate to use the Radio Abilities. The following information in this thread will differentiate the differences and how to use your Communication men appropriately in battle.
[NPC] Comms Officer:
The NPC Comms Officer is a standard Combat Radio Operator, so in comparison to the certifications of the Radio Operators, they qualify for the lowest certificate open to members.
- NPC Comms Officers may call in OFF-MAP Artillery every Seven to Eight posts made within the thread, this is OVERALL. So not every seven to eight posts YOU make, but seven to eight posts made by everyone in the thread.
- Artillery Abuse - In reality, Artillery isn’t called in every several minutes of the battle. So use it wisely and ONLY when you need it. As a Mod-Marker, witnessing you using the Artillery resources every chance you get, may just end up breaking your radio equipment completely…
- NPC Comms Officers are also rookies; They can be highly inaccurate or highly accurate, it all depends on how well you use the Comms Officer and technical language describing co-ordinates and communication between your Artillery/Headquarters.
- Comms Officers are Unarmed - They can’t wield any weaponry what-so-ever, other than a Bayonet.
- The NPC Comms Officer’s Radio may also malfunction or break more regular than the member obtaining a Radio Operator certification. These can span from ‘No Replies’ from your request made, Static (interference), Breaking completely and so forth -- However, if you have an Engineer in the thread, you can attempt to repair the equipment, assuming it breaks.
- Finally, you can call in reinforcements.
- When calling in reinforcements, it has to be another member either within your division or someone willing to come and help you.
- Infantry, Pilots, all welcome to accepting the call - BUT, you must request 1 person and 1 person only. Do not signal for the whole of the Allied frontier to help you, otherwise your reinforcement request will be void.
- In conclusion to only requesting 1 person to aid you, in every thread, you may only request 1 bout’ of reinforcements. No more. So pick wisely.
