Here is What You Need to Do:

1. Read through the rules of the site. It is the best way to know what is going on and what you can and cannot do. They can be found here => Link!

2. Also make sure to read the rules specific to certain types of infantry and otherwise. Try to decide where you want a character of your creation to go. This board for this can be found here => Link!

3. Read some of the Beginner’s guides which can be found here => Link! There are a lot of them, you may want to save some for later. The best ones to read before starting are;

• Beginner’s Guide to IO – Link!
  --Written as a basic guide for how to do better on you application and the like; use it as a guide.
  
• How to Earn Command Points and Ranks – Link!
  --A major part of how things will work on the site, so that you can’t just have everything.
  
• F.A.Q. – Link!
  --A list of the questions that we get annoyed by answering again and again.
  
• Do’s and Don’ts – Link!
  --A few major things that could come in handy when writing your application along with things that you will need to know once being accepted.
  

4. You may also enjoy reading a few of the Guides on what happened during the war. If you are not very knowledgeable about the war, like many members, read these if you would like for a brief history lesson. they are not comprehensive but focus on major points in the war. They can be found here => Link!

5. Write your application!

• a. You may want to look over some of the accepted and denied applications in each board of the application area to see what is good and what is not so much.
  
  
• b. Come up with a story and make sure that you have the following:
  
  • Length-On the site you need to type at least 15 lines of text for an acceptable role-playing post and it is good to show you ability to do such in your application.
    
  • Grammar- Make sure to proofread to see that everything is spelt correctly and you have good punctuation. This is very important to help people understand what you are saying and to give it a better feel.
    
  • Description- The more you describe what happened and what was being thought the better. This can almost always be improved, and can really make a difference.
    
  • Point of View- Use a 3rd person point of view when describing your character. Since it is the way that it will be done on the site, it shows your abilities to type that way.
    
  
  

6. Register for an account

• This is done at the top of the home page, just click on the link and fill out the forms.
  
  • When you register, it will not let you log on. Don’t be alarmed, as soon as your application is accepted it will be unlocked and you will be allowed to log on.
    
  
  
• Try to make a username that would be easily attributed to your application.
  

7. Be Patient

• The staff that can accept your application have a lot of things to do, so it can take a while before you are accepted.
  
• While you wait, there are a few options for things to do. You could:
  
  • Read some more help threads
    
    • Read up some more on the inner workings of the site so that you can be prepared right from the start.
      
    
    
  • Look through some Role-playing threads.
    
    • They will be helpful when it comes to starting on the site and besides some of them can be very exciting.
      
    
    
  • Talk in the cbox
    
    • The people here are very open and we always enjoy a good chat. By doing this you will have met a large majority of the members before even logging on for the first time.
      
    
    
  
  
• MOST IMPORTANTLY do not pester members about getting your application accepted. If it has not then you may have forgotten to do something, so check through this list again to make sure. As I said before, the staff here can get really busy with all the jobs they have to do to keep us all happy, and they will get to it as soon as they can.
  

8. Don’t be afraid to ask questions

• As all newcomers do, you are sure to have a lot of questions to how the site works and many other things.
  
• If you do, there are many things that you can do such as:
  
  • Asking in the cbox
    
    • We are all willing to help and will tell you as much as we know. This is the best way to get your question answered.
      
    
    
  • Post it as a reply to your application
    
    • Most members and staff will be looking at your application, as it is the first thing that we can tie to you. This will get you question answered very quickly.
      
    
    
  • Email the Administrator
    
    • As a last resort, if none of the above work, our admin, PuNk, would be willing to answer your question if you email him at [e-mail].
      
    
    
  
  

9. Check your application often to see if it has been accepted or denied.

• If it does happen to be denied, the staff will give you ways to improve it so that it will be. Just make the changes they suggest and you are on your way.
