Ooo Books! I never really read books too often, i'm more a movie-buff for the World War stuff, not to mention anything else i can get my hands on. I particularly love 'End of the world' stuff too, like Zombie movies and such...
but as for books related to the war, i'm currently reading "Dunkirk - Fight to the last man" by Hugh Sebag-Montefiore.
It's very interesting, it's perhaps one of the biggest books i've began to read, i'm barely quater way through and it's extremely detailed, with maps and extra resources supplied at the back of the book for you to look at if you get confused reading the mass descriptions he makes at times - which by the way, is extremely confusing in some cases.
Apart from that, it's perhaps one of the most descriptive and accurate books i've read, full stop. ~Danny
Same here. I'm not into books since it's rare to find a good one, but that book sounds intense. XD You should write a book on world war 2 yourself.
I'm reading a similar one except it's all about computer network by John Chirillo. Love it! Maybe it's too boring for some but if you had the chance and like computers go check out his books too.
I don't know much about zombies anymore. I used to like it back in elementary school and part of middle school, especially the ones related to vampires, werewolves, and creepy monsters. Freak out my mom sometimes too. Oh well...
YES, it's very rare to find one you like anddd, write one myself? Quite a few people have said that to me, because i'm good at 'creative writing', but i doubt i'd be good at any World War II stuff. Compared to others, i know very little. =(
Anddd! I'm currently studying IT (computers) at college - WH00T. Sounds fun though, well, intriguing? =P Hehe! And yes, i'm still very much a MASSIVE zombie, end of the world, AHH - sort of fan. xP
I used to run a 'Zombie' Based board a while back, had some loyal members and had such great potential, but i had to drop it because of my WWII board, hard to run both, seeing most of my staff wasn't online. =(
BUT ANYWAY, back on topic!!! =P SORRY! ~Danny

I forgot to mention All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque. I just find it hard that the American government banned the book of its publishment after World War I. I understand its probably for patriotic reason. Still that's unfair, kinda like leaving their citizens in blindness.

I am reading a book named "Shooter" haven't finished it yet but so far it's great. Can't remember who it is by but when I next look at it I'll modify this post. It's about a Marine sniper. I'm not fond of the Marines but It's still a good read.
Oh right - i've just read "3Para" (British Para Unit in Iraq), telling about their stories from the beginning of the war to 2006, roughly.
But recently, i just bought "SNIPER-ONE" and it sounds very familiar to the book you just mentioned Edward S. McMillan... I haven't begun reading it yet, but that could possibly be the book you're talking about? If it's Modern-Day warfare, not Second World War Period. ~Danny
