Donation=CO?

OK PuNk and me were just wondering we thought we would ask you guys. If someone donated like 10-15 $ TO the board for ad free features or what ever else PuNk wanted to use it for, the person who donated should be allowed a CO rank even though the CO Cool down is in affect, (On behalf they have a good application)

Sorry, but I must submit to the contrary. That's sort of like buying a position that may not have been earned. I think it's great that a person should donate to Issuing Orders and I do think they ought to be rewarded, but not with officer positions. Perhaps CP or shop items, but certainly not a rank that usually takes time and good writing as well as tactical competence to get.

I think that a CO-ship ought to be earned, simply for the reason that money should not buy position. Guess I have a bit of a morality streak.

I see what you mean and what we mean above is that the application has to be good enough to deserve the rank, then by doing this you void the Co Cool down Thread, which this prevents them from "buying their ranks"

May I just add something?
I did tell Austin it would be highly unlikely this would happen; As far as I'm concerned, the CO-CoolDown is in effect for everyone, but Austin adament on gaining your opinion, which he is entitled to do.

As it stands, it's an Unanimous Vote and Donations will not be accepted for Rank/CP exchanges. This Poll wouldn't have changed much anyway, as it would've fallen to a staff decision at the end and we all seem in agreement, that donations shouldn't be accepted in exchange for "Anything".

So please be Patient Austin!
The CO-CoolDown may be lifted soon, considering there seems to be some inactive CO Accounts that might just be scrapped...
