Name:Steven Mack
Nationality:
- Canadian
What Army will Your Character Serve Beneath?
UK
Character History:
Steven Mack was born in the midst of one of the largest cities in Canada, Toronto. Here, his father left his family so Steven's older brother and his mother were forced to fend for the family. While Steven's older brother, Mathew, was a great man and had a good heart, the stress from taking care of the family was simply to great.
Mathew soon became an alcoholic drunk and the family soon became a complete and utter mess. Steven's mother was not able to get enough money for the family without Mathew's help. Sadly, instead of returning to a better lifestyle, Mathew was killed in a bar fight when Steven was barely ten. From that day on, Steven Mack swore to join some type of law enforcement so that he could avenge his brother's untimely death.
Soon after Mathew's death, Steven was sent away to London to live with his father. Here, he worked at a small factory and developed into a true man. World War II broke out when Steven was just about 18 and quickly joined into the UK armed forces.
Military Rank:
- Sergeant
Writing Sample:
Steven had a small pistol on his leg and other than the combat knife he had carried since he joined the military, Mack was completly and utterly unarmed. His' Lee Engfield Mark 4 had been destroyed in a fire fight where a bullet had broken through most of the inner workings of the gun and Steven had been forced to leave it behind. So now, Steven was left alone in the middle of the enemy lines without any real form of weaponry.
And that is when Steven heard the leaves behind him rustle and odd occurrence during a completly still night. While the Canadian decided it was nothing more than a rat or a squirrel, the noise scared the man more than a little. His pace quickened as Steven made for the British camp that was a few more miles way. As Mack moved forward away from the German base camp, Steven heard a twig snap. His eyes widened as he dropped to a crouch, waiting and watching for any signs of life.
After what seemed like hours, Mack began to move away from the area. However, his pace was so slow as he strained his ears to hear any signs of an enemy patrol. This continued for many for minutes before Steven realized that he was within three minutes of the outer limits of the British Camp. Standing full up to begin a quick sprint to the camp, Steven made a fatal mistake. The entire time he had been followed by two Nazi soldiers, both waiting for the opportune time to strike. As Mack's body rose up, the Nazi soldiers began firing their MP40's with reckless abandon at Steven. Before Mack could even react, a bullet pierced the lower portion of his right arm. Luckily enough, the two Germans were rather bad at aiming and Steven had enough time to begin running for the British camp.
Bullets soared next to him, another one catching him in the back but Steven used the last of his strength to sprint into the camp. The sounds of the MP40's faded into the dark of the night as the medical surgeon began to look of Mack's wounds. None were to serious but it the one bullet in his back had been over to the right a little more, it could have easily pierced his lung.
